 IceStorm and FireStorm listened to their conversation. *Mountain lions...* IceStorm wanted to yowl at StarPelt. How can she lose her courage? especially at a time like this. Now Four Voices, FireStorm, IceStorm, LunarFlower, DarkStorm, turned to one. "We will stand together, We will stand strong, we will fight them, and we will not lose." They said.

 [At Silverstar's feet, Thunderpaw let out a snort.]
Thunderpaw said softly, "They don't mean we have to divide...they mean we have to divide the slayers. United, they win, but divided, they fall. We have to defeat them one by one..."[Silverstar gasped and quickly swished her tail over Thunderpaw's mouth.]
"Enough, Thunderpaw," she said sternly, "you've had enough stress for one day."
[Thunderpaw's eyes flashed with defiance, but then a dull tiredness crept its way into them. She let out a soft sigh.]
Turning to the others, Silverstar said, "Yes. They are my friends, and good cats to have on our side."
[Silverstar's eyes filled with fear.]
"I fear the slayers may be related to that mountain lion...and are seeking revenge. Why else would they search for revenge? But you are right, Starpelt; they probably won't listen to reason. The only thing we can do is defeat them, one by one..."

"I get it now.But where could they be? Up in the mountains? So what we should do first is find out where they are and then we seperate them.If we could break them down,then I suggest the leader is the last to fall.If we choose to kill the leader first,the others would be even madder at us than before so we shouldn't do that.I have no doubt when I say we can defeat them.The Clans are going to defeat them together."Starpelt said with confidence.

IceStorm stepped forward. "My mother once told me that the only way to beat you enemy is to face them... face them and see them truly, without fear and without hate." She said. She then returned to her original postion.

 Moonkit
[Moonkit shook away the weariness that ate at her paws.]
"I'll need all the experience to help if I there is to be battle among us and these 'slayers'. I need Starclan's help to guide me more than ever now." she began confidently.
[She turned her head confidently to look at Starpelt.]
"Starpelt, I beg of you. I believe it is my time. I want to be a medicine cat apprentice." she mewed as she dipped her head respectively towards the she-cat.
[She looked down at Thunderpaw, anguished that she couldn't be of more help at the moment.]

"We have to face them. No matter what, that's what it's going to come to. Defeating them"
[Riverfang sighed]
"It's not going to be easy"
[He shook his head and turned to Silverstar]
"Silverstar, I don't mean to seem rude, or seem like I don't care about the situation, because I do care, but I would like to know if you think it'd be wise to introduce us to the Clan now"

  [Silverstar let out a sigh.]
"Of course, we have to be wise about this. If these are mountain cats, there's no way we can face them in battle if they're all present. We need to isolate one of them...and defeat them."
[She nodded to Starpelt.]
"Yes, Moonkit wishes to be a medicine cat apprentice. I have no problem with it, but I will respect your wishes as to whether or not you approve," she said, dipping her head respectfully.
[Finally, turning to her friends, Silverstar's eyes warmed up.]
"Of course, my apologies. There are some things that need taking care of, but of course I will introduce you."
[Flicking her tail as a signal for the two cats to follow, she padded off.]
She jumped up to the Fernhill and yowled, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather for a clan meeting!"
Nodding towards the two new cats, Silverstar declared, "These cats are old friends of mine, Riverfang and Brightspirit. They are welcome here and will be treated with respect. We need their help more than ever now that we have someone after our tails."
Eyes darkening, Silverstar added, "And about that. Starpelt has returned from the Moonpool with a message from StarClan.
'First comes pain, then comes anger.
It will eat away at your conscience
and you will wander astray.
Thus you will kill
everything you see
and spread the Madness on its way.'
It is obvious that this madness can't be controlled, but we have discovered that there is a remedy...by the aid of our ancestors.
Starpelt and I have discussed old legends, and we believe we know who is targeting the Clans.
Long ago, there was a legend of our ancestors traveling to this place from far away, through the mountains. They met a tribe there, and slayed a most fearful mountain lion.
The spirits have warned us that our enemies are seeking revenge; it is my belief that they are somehow related to this mountain lion. And, if this is true, this means they are the giant cats of legend- Tigers, Lions, Cheetahs- though it is most probable that they are mountain lions as well. Our best chance is to kill them one by one, and leave the leader cat for last.
We must stand guard more fiercely than ever. I am planning to announce our discoveries at the next gathering, and perhaps we can plan with the other clans a way to find the remedy. Though some may not be happy, it seems the Clans must unite or be destroyed.
I want guards near the nurseries, especially after the tragedy with Redkit. We must make sure no other kit is infected. Also, at least four warriors and two apprentices must remain in the camp from now on." ((stop wandering around and getting bit, guys. D: ))
Blinking, Silverstar said, "That is all. I shall pray to StarClan for guidance."
[Silverstar jumped down and fluffed her pelt. She must be vigilant...failure could spell death for her Clan.]

 FireStorm and IceStorm looked up at their leader and listened. Then glanced at the two new Warriors. Then listened carefully to their leader. Furs bristled, claws flexed, and silent hisses were heard. The clan was tense, preparing for battle... WAR.

 H a w k p a w“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________Hawkpaw stood in the apprentice's den, though his head was peering out at the cats who'd gathered for the Clan meeting. His dark golden eyes were hard, a glint of dark determination present in them as he watched Silverstar give her speech.
The Clans were at war. Not with each other, but with the legendary maneless lions of the mountains. He'd heard the story from the elders many a time. A fierce, massive cat, who's paws alone were large enough to knock a Clan cat dead with one mighty blow. His teeth were thick and elongated, like that of an adder's, and hooked, black claws like the talons of eagles were used to tear at the flesh of his victims and prey. And there was more than one of these beasts?! But Hawkpaw flexed his claws, reminding himself that a single Clan cat was able to murder the monster.
He winced inwardly. The Clans had to untite?! This also reminded him of a story the Clan elder's told to him when he was a kit. Like Silverstar mentioned earlier, there was a time when the four ancient Clans had to unite to defeat enemies and overcome the Great Journey, but he'd never even dreamed of this happening again.
Memoried of Moonkit and Thunderpaw flickered within his mind. Hawkpaw shut his eyes, flexing his claws and tearing up the dirt beneath his paws with a soft hiss. He opened them to see Thunderpaw still lying on the ground, and Moonkit trying to gain Starpelt's approval. His gaze turned into a glare, but not one of anger. Hawkpaw had a bold, daring idea. He had to do this for the sake of his friends, and the Clan.
He padded up to Silverstar, who'd just leapt down from the Fernhill. Dipping his head as he approached, he spoke.
“Silverstar, I want your permission to aid you in finding the cure. I know I'm still an apprentice, and a young one at that, but I will do all that is in my power to assist StormClan, and all the Clans, in ending this terrible epidemic.”

[Riverfang's gaze hardened at the thought of war]
"We will do everything we can to help"

IceStorm smiled. "You have an amazing aura Hawkpaw." She said. "One of a fighter, determined." IceStorm glanced at the new Warriors. *Old StormClan Warriors perhaps? If they were here before then why did they leave?* IceStorm thought. She was unsure of these Warriors and did not trust them fully.

H a w k p a w“Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.”___________________________ Hawkpaw gratefully dipped his head to his mentor. He watched Icestorm with glittering eyes.
“Thank you, Icestorm. It means a lot, coming from you.”
He turned to look to where Icestorm was glancing, and he noticed that Silverstar had granted the loners permission to join StormClan. They both had warrior names, unlike kittypets or rouges, and the couple seemed to be very gracious in recieving such an honor. Hawkpaw assumed that they could've been former warriors, but then, what could've made them leave StormClan? Had they abandoned the Clan in its time of need? The mere thought of it made Hawkpaw suspicious.

Seeing Hawkpaw stare at the two cats IceStorm touched his shoulder with her tail. "Its not nice to stare, not matter how curious you are. Lesson number 1: Self Control." She whispered into her apprentices ear. IceStorm smiled.

“A--...Okay...”
He sat down beside Icestorm and curled his tail around his paws, his eyes fixed on his twitching tail-tip. Silverstar had still yet to give an answer to his plea...

[Moonkit's ears were pricked and her eyes glittered with worry.
She knew where her feelings lay for Hawkpaw but still..
She tried to shake the oncoming fear for him, after all, he still had much to learn..
And such a bold statement.
She padded over to his side.}
"Are you sure?" her eyes hard and emotionless.
"It'll be a true testament of your strength and will to keep on fighting. Can you handle it?" her voice sounded very unlike her own.
