Frost

Frost stepped closer to Alfred, padding alongside the older male as they moved away.
The blind Gardevoir frustrated him. He could tell nothing from the hidden eyes of a blind man. Even Luna, if you took the time to look her in the eyes, was easy to read. You could tell so much from someone's gaze, Zori had said. His new team had taught him a lot.
As the distance between them and the pair of females behind them, Frost flattened his ears slightly. Would it be wise to wager a guess at the topic of their conversation? He supposed that it wouldn't matter; it was pretty obvious what he wanted to say, other than more 'stay where it's safe and don't take any unnecessary risks' stuff.
They slipped into the courtyard, and Frost gradually relaxed, although it was obvious that he wasn't totally at ease, even for his standards.
"You want to discuss my guild, don't you?" He asked quietly, not bothering to look up at the Gardevoir, for he doubted that the blind man would care.

Alfred
The Gardevoir paused, not answering the smaller Pokemon just yet. Scoping out a shadier place under a tree he sat down, now more at Frost's eye level and directed his attention at the Growlithe before waving a hand.
"Later." He replied, dismissing the notion that he was here to talk business. There would be time for that later, he would not rush such a young Pokemon into a situation that he did not fully understand until he was comfortable that Frost even wanted to be a guildmaster.
" I know your possibly still grieving over Diablo and I apologize for making you take a moment away to speak to me, but I assure you it is important. You've probably heard a lot of things about your uncle's passing. Mostly comments that you are to be his successor. I will not tell you the same. This is your choice, it wont be forced on you in the least, but I need you to think carefully. I'm asking you to make a very grown-up decision. Being a guild master is not all fun and games and taking charge. You will need to know the risks of doing so...naturally if you decide to go through with it you will not be alone. Your uncle's old team has agreed to assist you and you may obtain your own, trusted, aquaintances. Your guild will look to you for guidance and you will need to make split second decisions without regret. It is difficult, you'll be pushed to your limit, but the rewards are great. At the end of the day you'll be able to say that you've done more than stand on the sidelines. I wont force you to make a choice now. Take all the time you need and when you've reached a decision you know where my guild is at. I'm sure know someone who can teleport you there. Do you have any questions now? Ask anything..."

Frost

Frost didn't say anything for a moment, and all the sound that passed between the two was the faint rasps of their breathing.
"I will lead the Guild of the Morning Star." He told the Gardevoir, his voice calm and even. "But you're right; I'll need all the help I can get. I'm still young, and I know nothing of how to help my guild."
The Growlithe scuffed the dirt with his paw, thinking. Several minutes later, he resumed speaking. "...Have you heard anything more about my uncle...?"

Alfred

Alfred was only slightly surprised the kid made his decision so quickly, but he should have expected nothing less from a relative of Diablo's. That Arcanine was known for following gut instinct rather than rationality. Any other Pokemon Frost's age would have probably feared the responsibility.
He nodded, but at the question stopped and sighed.
If Frost was mature enough to accept his new position, he was mature enough for the details regarding the reason he obtained it.
"Your uncle was murdered, by who we dont know, but investigations are still underway. I'll make sure you're informed. Though, until we figure it out I ask you remain with your current team."
Naturally, Alfred had a few ideas as to who had done it, but would keep them to himself for now.

Frost

Frost's eyes widened in horror, but he quickly squeezed them shut, swallowing the bile that was rising in his throat. He felt sick to the core.
"My team... They're not supposed to know, are they?" Frost questioned quietly, forcing himself to sound calm, although he knew he failed. "About the circumstances of his death..."
Frost let his eyes slide shut again, flicking his ears sideways as he tried to even his breathing. "I guess it's how everyone feels about their lost family, but... I wish I could have seen him before this. Say everything I never got to say.... tell him I'd do my best not to let him down..." He glanced back at the Gardevoir. "My whole life, I was raised knowing who I was meant to be... Knowing that I'd have to fill my uncle's pawprints... I just didn't know it would be so soon. ...Maybe things would have been different if I'd known." The Growlithe sighed regretfully.
"...I need to time to think." He nodded, wiping the tears from his eyes with a proportionally large, furry paw.
As he turned to leave, he glanced back once more at the Gardevoir... Maybe he wasn't so bad. He would have to get to know him better to really understand him... Then again, he supposed that they'd probably be seeing a lot of eachother, considering the mess that they were caught in. "You know where to find me." He slipped out of the courtyard, heading silently inside.

The Gardevoir frowned. He felt he should have sugar coated his choice of words a bit more, but he couldnt shield the kid from this forever. Better to let him know now, than to find out in a worse manner later.
Without a word he vanished in a teleport.
This mess needed to be cleaned up quickly.

"This place is soooo boring!"
"Do you think I'm happy after we found out that you can't be left alone for five seconds near the guild's pool? We're just gonna' have to live with what will hopefully be safer for you."
An argument dragged on as a newly formed team strolled through the gardens, neither obviously satisfied with their surroundings. Though the two carried on like this often they really did cooperate well together as a team when it came down to at least managing to keep the other one alive and partially sane.

Azra

A young Riolu raced across the courtyard, running on all fours to make herself run faster. She knew she couldn't outrun her brother, as he was excellent at Teleporting, but if she could find a hiding place before he could locate her, she might have a chance.
Suddenly, as two strangers entered her path, she skidded sharply to a halt, rising back onto her hind paws. This was something different. Who were they?
She looked around for her brother, as she'd already come to realize that her brother was a half-decent source of information. She'd never seen Pokemon like those before...

Cassy was quick to act and slam her partner's jaw shut as it nearly fell open from the sight of the Riolu before him. It was pretty sad that a save like that even had to be done in the first place; but after the incident at the pool she knew well enough it had to be done. Considering they wouldn't be in this predicament right now if Devlin didn't have to go and be a showoff to that Lopunny that was also there in attendance and decide to jump off of the highest diving board. Needless to say the fact that he was a Fire type was hardly apparent in his mind at the moment. This situation only worried the Piplup more, considering the Riolu girl appeared to be around their own age this time and it wouldn't take long for her friend to kill his chances.
"Can't you walk like the rest of the world."
A peeved voice echoed through the air before moments later a Ralts appeared at his sister's side. Who would it have hurt if they walked to the Courtyard like civilized Pokemon... Granted they had to act quick, having escaped the not-so-watchful eye of Uncle Kaiyou while their true parents were out; but still, the Ralts didn't like wasting his already perfected Teleport ability on such menial tasks.
"...Who's your friends?"
He asked with curiosity, staring back and forth between his sister and the two other Pokemon in attendance. It wasn't like he was the generic overprotective brother or anything. Little did he know that they hadn't even exchanged words yet.
"I...uh..."
"I'm Cassy and he's Devlin. Sorry if he's a little slow sometimes."
"Am not!"
The Piplup caught on before her partner and thought it best to introduce the two of them before Devlin got any more caught up in his own words. It seemed that right on the appearance of the Ralts he shut down with nerves. Wow, getting intimidated by a male Ralts, whutta' stud.

Azra

"There's nothing wrong with running outdoors, Locke." She pointed out, looking perfectly calm, despite the strangers. They still made her a little curious, though. "I'm faster on four legs than two, and you know it."
She and Locke both knew that she didn't like Teleporting. She preferred to run. It was better for one's health.
After a few moments, she glanced at their companions again. "Devlin? That's a funny name." She noted, with a characteristic lack of tact.
Now that the strangers were no longer strangers, they really weren't all that interesting.
She glanced back over her shoulder, looking for any signs of their 'babysitter'. "...I don't think Kai's close to us. I don't sense him near." She told her brother, relaxing.

"Y-yeah, I guess it is."
Devlin sighed out at the Riolu's observation, bringing a hand behind his head to scratch the back of his head worriedly. His mind raced; why the hell was he so nervous?! A calm and collected guy like him never got unnerved around the ladies~.
"Locke."
Meanwhile the Ralts in attendance introduced himself with an outstretched hand to Cassy which was quickly accepted; he would've done the same for the Fire type also but he was busy staring off into the abyss while his mind groped for more of a conversation to strike up.
"Is he always like that?..."
"Meh, it's nothing to worry about."

Azra

Azra frowned at the Chimchar's meek reply. She'd been teasing! Didn't he know how to play? She teased her brother all the time; he didn't mind.
She tapped the Chimchar's shoulder lightly with one finger. "I'm Azra~" She stated proudly, introducing herself to the seemingly timid Fire-type.
"And that's my brother." She gestured vaguely to him, since he hadn't told either of the newcomers that they were related.

"Though my emotion-reading powers aren't that great, from the looks of it your friend is very nervous about something; and from the way he's starting at my sister I think it may be best for us to just back away. We can keep an eye on things from a distance but maybe it'll be a good laugh in the end at least."
A sudden voice pervaded Cadcade's mind that made her jump and look about herself worriedly at first, but as soon as she recognized it she listened along and obliged. The Ralts seemed to have more malice intentions but it was best that they got away from there whatever the scenario may end up as.
"Just realized, I have some errands to run. Gotta' put food in the house before you end up leaving us to starve with your apatite."
The Piplup excused herself before walking away. Her partner reaching out for her speechless as if he obviously didn't want her to leave but as soon as Locke spoke all was well for the Chimchar.
"I better run too. I think Kai is on the move. Just I'll make up an excuse for us on the way." He told his sister quickly before teleporting away; she hopefully not ending up bothering to check if he was telling the truth or not telepathically. Once each were out of sight, the duo of conspiring Pokemon met up behind a nearby tree to watch from a decent distance.
With a sigh at that moment Devlin finally managed to look the Riolu in the eyes and smile.
"No offense but your brother is kinda' scary."
He joked, immediately earning himself a scowl from the said Pokemon that was still in listening range without the Chimchar realizing this.

Azra

Azra blinked, and then giggled. "Locke's not scary~" She replied, happy that the Chimchar was more relaxed now. Maybe he'd be more interesting.
Strangely, she could sense Locke nearby, and that bothered her. Ah well, she supposed it would be a lot more fun to get on his nerves, especially if he and Cassy felt like spying on them like that. "He's just annoying with all his teleporting everywhere. I can't decide if it's because he's forgotten how to walk, or if he's just lazy."
'Are you going to keep spying on us, or do I have to say something else mean?' The telepathic voice that echoed inside her brother's skull was clearly not impressed.

"Eh. Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like that. It just seems like he doesn't let you alone like this very often."
The Chimchar quickly caught himself as Azra got a bit defensive over her brother. Little did he know that they were in fact not left alone in the first place and this statement plus the previous mental one angered the nearby Ralts all the more.
"Well, one of them found us out already, but I doubt Devlin will. No offense."
He mentally communicated to Cassy before going back to his voyeurism; even becoming just visible enough for a moment to shoot his sister a glare for her words.
