Layla looked at him for a moment, nodding his head. "Yeah, it does hurt," she sighed, knowing the feeling. "Well, it's better than having broken your spine," she said, trying to make him look on the brighter side. She looked around the room; she really, to be honest, didn't like doctors. The white room seemed to spin around for a moment as she looked at the walls, but as she blinked it seemed to stop. I hate doctors... especially if I don't now them, she thought.

It made no difference to her as Kuro grabbed her hand; she didn't flinch or anything. The popping sound, however, seemed to ring in her ears for a few moments, bringing back some bad memories; not too bad, but all the same.
Layla looked over at Kuro, hearing him. "Oh no, don't worry about it," she smiled. "If he hadn't been trying to pop your leg back in though, I might've slapped you," she laughed innocently, as though she never said it.

Lovebirds? Did that doctor just say lovebirds? Layla was about to go after him to give her a piece of her mind when she stopped, hearing Kuro's question. She shook her head. "It was nothing, don't worry about it," she said softly; she didn't like saying too many things about her past. It just didn't make her feel right if she said it, or even thought about it for a long period of time. She tended to let things just happen, let them pass, and never look back at it.

Hikaru quickly burst through the door, carrying a wounded Kylie over her right shoulder. In her haste to make it into the hospital, she nearly crashed into the front desk, but she managed to stop herself in time. Not really having all her wits about her at this point, she simply started yelling loudly.

"Doctor! Where's the doctor! This girl needs help, right now!"

The girl she was carrying had a nasty looking wound across the side of her body. It looked as if she had received some preliminary treatment to close it up, but there was still some blood oozing out of it. She also appeared to have some nasty black scorchmarks surrounding the wound.

"Ssh, don't talk right now," Hiko said quietly, smoothing back Kylie's hair as she laid her flat on the ground.

"We're going to get you guys fixed up, okay? You'll be as good as new! So until then, just save your strength and try not to move around too much." She reached over to squeeze Kylie's hand reassuringly.

Hiko saw that trying to stop Kylie from telling her story wouldn't work, and listened to her as she began digging around in her backpack for some more bandages and gauze. She could at least help staunch the bleeding some more before the others got there.

"That's... terrible. Why would anyone do something like that?"

She measured out a length of bandage, applying the gauze to Kylie's wound and managing to temporarily patch up the wound while she waited for Charlie to arrive with Rayna.

Kylie whimpered, shaking her head once more. "He was jea...lous." he told her, her eyes closed. "When she was seven....he killed her parents and....little brother. Hawk got....away. He almost killed...Rayna, but didn't ha...ve time. So he put....a curse on her. She would...turn into this horrible...Beast...when she would...be in a life...threatening situation." she then panted for a bit, regaining a little energy.

"This happened shortly after her...fourteenth birthday. She had turned into the Beast and....she hadn't remembered her past....but after she retransformed into her human form.....she remembered everything. And.....she felt as though he would come to...find her, so she went travelling. Which was when she met me and....Charlie." she chuckled the last part. "She liked Charlie a lot...and Charlie....and her fell in....and then she left back home. She....killed Ronin." she said. "But he....killed Hawk....and Miss Rayna still suffers....because he brought Ollie back as a cat, and....he killed him again in front of....her." she told her. Tears started streaming down her cheeks.

Kylie nodded. "She used a lot of energy on me....a bit too much. If she uses enough, she could die from not enough....energy. But she'll be....alright." she said, smiling. Kylie then frowned, tearing up a bit more. "It's....so sad. In order to get rid of....the curse....she had to kill him. Miss Rayna didn't want....to....she didn't want to kill anyone. She didn't know that I heard, but....when I went to visit her afterwards, she'd....cry, late at night....both in her sleep and awake. I think she...still does. She appears strong, but...she cries." she said, more tears going down her face. She lifted a hand to wipe her eye, then let it drop beside her. "She doesn't appear as if....she carried a horrible thing inside her. But she didn't want people....to know. She didn't want people to be....scared or worried. She wanted to be strong. She said Hawk....would want her to be." she said. "She's only fourteen." she cried, shaking her head.
