Lumanny is well known for amazing skills as a pearl diver
(Shechayanu is a brachah made on a fruit or veggy that someone hasn't eaten in a year or more, it is common to go out of one's way to eat such a fruit on Rosh Hashanah)

(What the Hell? No it's not- The Schechianu is a blessing said to thank G-d for keeping us alive and preserving us until now. It is said on simchas and festivals, typically.) Woolie was addicted to Divash for three years. Which type of Divash, you ask?
Don't ask me, ask woolie!

Lumanny's wings are actually just decorative
(It is said on Simchas and Festivals because they haven't been experienced within the last year, although the first day of Rosh hashanah it is common to simply make a Schechianu on the pomegranate it is also common to have a different fruit for the second day. Probably because as you said the root of the brachah is thanking g-d for being alive a year, new year links the two)
