Kenji smiled and nodded. "I know I saw part of the dream...and it reminded me of something..." he said as he pulled out the photo and showed it to her. It was the two of them when she was 6 and he was 9. "Do you remember this?" he asked grinning it was when they agreed to sneak into the Elites' hidden office. "Were we always like that?" he asked and then part of him wondered why the Bushin made them partners.

She remembered it a bit. "Oh ya we found a camera in there!" Looking at the picture she nodded to him, they did it when they could.

Kenji laughed a bit and sat down. 'Why do you think they made us partners....Bushin usually have other motives...' he thought glancing over to her as he began to prepare his area to sleep.

She shrugged. "Maybe it was decided when we we're recruited...but yes they could be up to something." She replied and shrugged. "You get some rest." Scratching the fox on it's belly.

Kenji nodded. "Alright." he said laying down and drifted off to sleep. He dreamed of when they were in training and during the obstacle course he helped Shoko up, but as it progressed his dream showed him going through obedience training and specific memories where he would listen to Shoko.

Shoko felt her forehead. Seeing a bit of Kenji's dream she gets up. "Come on Aki, lets find some raspberry's before he wakes up." She walked down a thin path with the fox.

Kenji slept soundly watching the dream play by him. The dream seemed to veer from his personal decisions as a leader, emphasizing his status as the partner. Though at one point during the dream, it became a nightmare and he tossed and turned as he remembered getting cut, tortured and destroyed by the Bushin Elite as they threw questions at him about why he was protecting Shoko, when she could have been the one here. 'Defiant Kenji, we will break you...be wary of your leader, we might have her do it for us.' echoed through his mind before he woke up in a cold sweat.

Aki and Shoko found a big bush of fresh respberries and plucked them off. Stuffing some in her mouth and the fox ate some too they walked back. She tilted her head at Kenji whow as still in cold sweat. "Shou ok?" Swallowing the raspberry's in her mouth she stuck her hand out to hand him some. The fox stuck it's red tounge out, it use to be pink. Laughing at the fox's tounge, cause two of her fingers were red frome ating the fruit too.

Kenji looked at her and pushed the berries away. "No...no it's fine..." he said as he looked over at the boat he had made. "I'm...I'm ok...shoko-senpai..." he said the last words seeming to be more forced than anything. His thoughts seemed to drift as he looked at the lake. He noticed the mark on his forehead, his now red tinted eyes, and his black hair. They were all forced on him by Shoko, but he liked Shoko. 'Shoko...why did you make me your partner?' he asked her through the mind link.

"Ok." She stuffed a couple more in her mouth. "I trust you, and who else would I choose?" Dropping three berries the fox numbed them up quickly. "Why do you ask?" Not use to the mind link yet she said it outloud on accident. "You look like you've seen a ghost."

Kenji sat down looking at the river. "Just a dream...." he said as he closed his eyes. 'I was being tortured again...the Bushin elite...they called me defiant...and said they would break me...' he thought to her not being able to put it into words. He looked at his red tinted with black it was odd to see a different person in the river.

She stood next to him and looked sad. "Oh..they tried to break you but failed." Trying to reasure him and make him smile. Looking at her reflection she was unsure if it was right to give him that mark without asking and just going on presumption.

Kenji gave a slight smile. "Yea..." he said as he pushed the boat out into the water. 'But you didn't....you broke me for them...' he thought giving a slightly depressed look to her. His eyes that matched hers, the black hair and the mark on his forehead would all show it. 'Yet, I wouldn't have wanted to be broken by anyone else...Shoko-chan.' he thought smiling as he pulled her up onto the boat and Aki jumped up after the two.

Shoko threw a berry at him after getting in the boat. "I broke you out of their control...lets go to a differnt subject." The fox sat in her lap and she gave it the rest of the berries.

Kenji sighed a bit and looked at her. "Yea Shoko..." he said chuckling, but he was saddened by what it had cost him. The man he knew in the mirror was gone. 'Alright then...why did you dream of our first day of emotional training?' he asked her relaxing as the boat drifted down the river.
