"the bodies are preserved mostly by the Seraph fluid in the air... I'd guess the stasis pods in the back have ruptured tanks... Unknown contaminants... I'm sorry, I'm not getting an ID on this stuff, just warnings..." Jad said through his suit's vox.
"Probably whatever killed the crew. It's organic for sure... not acidic though..." Shina said behind him, her suit's arms ejecting cylinders into a puddle of the stuff and sucking it up, "this stuff isn't alive, so we aren't dealing with a blob..." she said jokingly.

Maggie walked down the corridor, not leaving the sight of her allies. Coming to a sealed door, she pressed her hand onto the touch-screen panel, only to find it was offline. "I fear much of this ship will be unaccessible until and unless we restore power." Maggie stated. She realized Blake was not among their presence, and quickly turned to see where he could have gone.

Nina stood behind silently. She was quite grateful to have iron's old suit instead of the bulky haz-mat suits everyone else had. On her shoulder, near her neck was imbedded a tiny camera in her suit. It recorded every second on the mission from Nina's point of view and relayed it back to the Atlantis for Steve to keep track of. Unfortunately, Steve can't even watch a mildly scary movie by himself and the ship was now empty. He clutched a pillow to his chest and breathed deeply. Tears swelling in his eyes as he forced himself to watch. He could swear he heard movement in the ship, but it was of course his imagination.

Matt quietly creeped up on Steve, stopping to watch the video stream over his shoulder for a moment, before drawing in a silent breath and yelling, "WRAAAAGH!!!"

[fire axel 08: Edit your post. The cards don't open everything. They're just like ID cards to show we work for Jad currently... Plus, the ship has NO POWER... even if the card could open the door, with no power going to the card reader, it'd do nothing. Edit: Sorry... I just realized you opened it a differeny way... but still, you'd think the doors of the future could stand up better to a card.]
Steve's heart pressed against his ribcage and burst. At least, that's what it felt like when Matt scared him. He screamed bloody murder before turning around to see it was Matt. "B-b-b-b-b-but... I-i... I th-thought I was a-a-a-lone..."
A muffled voice spoke out through the monitor. "Holy ********... have you ever got a set of lungs on you Steve..." Nina had a direct connection to the ship, so she could hear everything Steve was saying including his whimpering during the show and now her ears were ringing.

Matt almost died of laughter. He pulled up a chair and sat next to Steve, already intent on the video. After a moment, he apologized. "Sorry, Steve. I couldn't help myself... and I'll stay here to keep you company until everyone gets back."
Blake maneuvered his robotic suit around, examining the computers. He almost tried to turn one on - before realizing almost too late that his suit would crush the console. Better to let Maggie handle the electronics, he thought. He did not notice the small sound behind him.

"steve?" indicating the scream still echoing through the midas.

Steve nodded. He was glad not to be alone.
"Captain... your suit is modified with a tracking device, so we'll keep track of your position from here. It also has a type of sonar, so we can see if anything in sneaking up behind you."
