"A daughter?" Lore had not been expecting that.

He didn't know whether to be shocked, worried or just simply happy. After all Idhril was a level headed one, he was sure she had thought this through (even though her empathy sometimes got the better of her).

Serenity shuffled her feet awkwardly. "She's still a teen," she admitted, "so I don't know what happened ... some ... special appeal to the goddesses or something, I guess ..."

Elnara wasn't quite sure what to think yet. That Idhril of all people would have gone off ... without telling her ... so suddenly ... it sort of rocked her world. She would not have thought that of Idhril. Celebor perhaps, he had always had a spontaneous spirit ... but Idhril had always been one to think very carefully before acting.

"Well that's ... surprising," she murmured. "But if she is truly happy ... then who am I to say anything?"

She smiled at Serenity. "Thank you for telling us," she said softly.

Lore nodded in agreement, it was surprising but he supposed if Idhril wished hard enough it would happen, and she would make a good mother. It made him want to see this little girl.

"What's her name? Idhril's daughter I mean."

"Her name is Sehnin," Serenity replied softly. "She looks very much like Idhril ... though she also looks like Joruri. She's ... kind of hard to describe."

Elnara smiled. "Then perhaps we will meet her tonight at dinner," she murmured cheerfully. "Donovan said he would send Kali for Idhril and Celebor ... do you know where they are, so that we can tell her where to look?"

Serenity looked a little uneasy. "Not ... really," she admitted. "I mean, I know where Celebor and Niyana's cave is ... but ... I sort of ran into Idhril and Joruri by chance, I don't know where they live."

"It is true... no one actually knows where Idhril is living at he moment," Kara admitted chewing her lower lip, "Though Kali does know where Celebor lives, figuring out where Idhril does might be harder."

She sighed a bit, none of her Seconds truly spent a lot of time in the Seconds world, though most spent half their time there.

"We'll just have to see, Kali knows most of the places in the Seconds world the best."

Elnara nodded. "Then we'll see if she can find them," she murmured. "Though by now it would be a miracle for her to get there and come back before dinner, let alone take the time to find them."

She was disappointed - but at the same time, a little relieved. She was tired, and the time difference was still confusing her, and she felt completely lost in the manor house ... and when she saw her children again, she wanted to feel a bit more in control of herself.

She glanced over at Lore. "Is Hana awake?" she asked him softly. "Garrick's finished for now, at least he'll be fine until we can get to our own house ..."

Though Hana was still being very quiet, so it was quite possible that she might still be fast asleep.

Lore took a look at Hana, she was so quiet that he forgot she had been up earlier.

"I think she dozed off again," Lore commented a bit suprised, "She was sucking earlier, so I thought she was hungry."

Elnara smiled warmly. "Mother says it's instinctive," she murmured, "so unless they're fussing not to worry about it. Well ... if you don't mind keeping her for a bit then, I think it's best not to move her if we don't have to, and we can see how long she sleeps."

She turned to Kara. "On the other hand," she added, "since they're both quiet now ... perhaps we could see our house?"

She wondered if Triton and Yue had gotten the furniture yet.

Kara rose from her seat with a nod, might as well get them settled in before dinner, it would be a fine idea she thought. Besides they had a lot of time to spare anyhow.

"Of course, It's not that far and going to the house will give you a bit of an idea what the grounds in general are like."

Elnara stood carefully and cradled Garrick in her arms, positioning him so that he could look around at the things that they would pass as they walked.

"Will we be passing by where the mers are living?" she asked Kara as she waited for Lore to join her. "Even if Jair's not going to be living with us, I'd like to see how close he is ..."

He was after all her youngest - save of course the twins.

Kara nodded, "Well sort of, he and the mers are living in a grove created a bit west from where your home is. It looks like a waterfall cliff, it's not real, the inside is actually a home."

It was ingenious, and she thought very cute, had to thank Kali for coming up with that.

"There are waterways though throughout the whole grounds and a small pond near your place so he'll aways be close when you both need a visit."

It sounded like everything was built with the mers in mind as well, which was a good sign.

"So if we want while Jair is small he could stay near us," Lore murmured thoughtfully.

"That does make me feel better," Elnara admitted with a smile. "He's still so young, after all."

She adjusted her bag on her free shoulder and moved to walk closer with Lore. She felt sort of out of place in a huge house like this, just as she had always felt out of place at the palace. Ahren was right ... this was far beyond anything she would have imagined.

Kara smiled she would have taken Elnara's hand, but she had her hands full from the looks of it.

"Let's go in, I'm eager to get out onto the grounds, it isn't as much fun exploring as it was when I was little."

She showed them the quickest way out, besides all ways led to the home anyhow, there were a lot of different paths a person could take which always made it a good place to wander outside.

Lore followed, taking in what he saw. He could imagine he thought as he placed Hana slowly into her sling on how it would have been fun to explore when one was much younger.
