She managed to lift her hand a little, showing a bit of blood still on her nails, then let it drop back down past the side of the bed. Closing her eyes, Zai said, "Already took care of 'em. He missed a shot, then beat me up some, I scratched and shot, then fled the scene."

She didn't even bother trying to shake her head, it still hurt from when he bashed her into the wall. "Can't tell ya..... and hey," She opened her eyes a bit, they looked almost sad, just almost. "You can't tell the kid 'bout this."

She rolled her eyes, then forced herself to sit up, squinting a bit from the pain in her stomach when doing so. Her pride brought her to not stand the thought of asking him to help her up, seeing how Nightshade had helped her and touched her more than anyone has for about ten or so years.

She shook her head, and stood up. "Nerves are outta wack, isn't that bad, yeah..." Leaning against the wall to make it easier, she walked twords the small bathroom connected to her room, she looked back at him. "Thanks anyways. It'll be just a moment, yeah." Going inside and closing the door, she took off her mask, and dumped some different chemicals into the tub, so the water-vapor and breathing 'normal' air for a bit wouldn't harm her.

He could tell she was lying. But he let her keep her pride and layed down on her bed while she waited

About 15-20 minutes later, She came out. Her make-up was washed off, showing she actually had large eyes with thick dark eyelashes, a thin face with light pink full lips. Her purple dreads were up in a long ponytail, and her roots showed naturally pale blonde hair. Zai always went to great lengths to hide how she really looked. Wearing a baggy t-shirt and sweat pants, holding her mask in her right hand, Zai walked over with a bit more ease and sat down next to him, "Took a bit longer, sorry 'bout that."

She shrugged. "Usually, not willing to let others see me like this. Not sure if I should call ya and the kid friends or what, just..." Zai let out another sigh. "Seems my life has just a bit more value when with ya guys, er.... don't know, actually."

Zai glanced over at him, then looked up at the cealing fan, leaning back on the bed so her back was against the wall. "Guess you could say.... just foggy."
