trains on his kendo
PostPosted: Sat May 09, 2009 2:07 pm

Mia walked slowly towards the training area. She contemplated training in her squads divisions, but at that point there was no one there. She hoped she would be able to find someone to practice with at the other Zanpacto training area.

Twirling her Zanpacto like a baton, she strolled into the area, and looked over her surroundings. It wasn't as packed as she expected, which left her with a dull feeling of being a newbie. She sighed knowing that she only wanted to train to be able to attain her Shikai, so that she could join her squad on earth.
Mia pulled back her hair and smiled over at the small group of soul reapers that were on one side of the field. Hopefully I'll be able to ask one of them to help... she thought.

As she slowly moved toward the two soul reapers, Mia recognized one of them as Captain Tansen, the captain of the 8th squad. She sort of did a half stumble/flop that caused her to come to a stop.
The only other captain she had been around was her own captain, Kuraime, and even then she felt nervous around her. Just being around any Capitan caused Mia to be unsettled, the reason was because of their immense spiritual pressure, and Mia's intense ability at pinpointing any one with any spiritual pressure. It sort of dulled her senses and ability when she was around them.

Mia sort of got hold of herself, after she realized that she had been gawking the two soul reapers. She straightened herself up and continued to debate if she should intrude on their conversation.
Then again.. She debated with herself, If I had a Captain spar with me, I'm sure I would have an easier time attaining Shikai..

A jaunty spring in her step Kosei wanders in to the "Shinigami Zanpakutou Traning Area" With a blanket under one arm and a basket in the other. A low humming is heard and if one were to listen hard enough the tune of Brand New Lovesong by Arrange Version can be picked out.

The purple haired girl continues her meandering until finally finding a quiet, mostly untouched, piece of earth. She then drops the basket in order to spread the blanket down, when she's done she reaches for the final piece of the puzzle, the basket, and begins to take several items from within.

Finally after 10 minuets of careful placing and arranging the shinigami pulls a sign saying "Open" from within the folds of her komono.

Kosei takes a deep breath and shouts loudly " Snacks! Complementary snacks from squad eight! Water bottles, cookies, bagels, E C T."

Rokera slowly walked through the entrance, intently studying a small black notebook. He's completely enraptured in it's contents, snapping back into focus after almost walking straight into a boulder. A light touch of red appearing on his face, he slipped the notebook into his robes. He focused on the scene around him.

A group of soul reapers were sparring far on the other side of the field. Explosions and the singing of cold steel clashing could be heard in the distance. A few others wandered around the field, taking a break, or looking for a sparring partner. It'd be good for me to get used to this place. If I want to get better, I must train in real combat.

He looked down at his zanpakuto. Right now, it was just a piece of metal, a normal soul slayer. Nothing special. He drew the blade, letting light touch it's silver length. If you work, Rokera, you can do this. You can achieve Shikai, or further. His face softened into a grin at this challenge, sheathing the blade.

His first objective: find a sparring partner. Captains would be excellent sparring partners, Rokera reasoned to himself, but I don't know many of them and they aren't exactly plentiful. He kept scanning the field, looking for a partner. Well, I'm sure SOMEBODY would want to fight me. There's enough people looking around as it is. With a sigh, he drew his zanpakuto and began to swing in patterns, fighting an invisible opponent. His reiatsu slowly began to build as he became more focused and in tune with his blade, so he eventually started to throw in kicks and punches as well. I'll just get stronger by myself until someone decides to help.

Adrian found himself drifting to the Zanpacto training ground despite his promise to himself to never tread this room without a captain. At this time and point he was without a captain or a squad and it only served to make him more restless to learn his shikai. He'd been a shinigami for a number of years now. Exactly how many? He didn't kniow. How could he know? He'd lost track of time since the day he landed in this dimension. No need to remember it now that he was dead. It was just all too depressing to him to think that he'd spent the equivalent of 10 years in what felt like a month to him.

His gaze pierced through those around him, ignoring much of their presence. He wasn't here for them, none of them. For the most part he found it easier to train by himself than with the likes of some other unseated loser. Besides, he was seeking to hear a voice that only he could hear. What good would it do him to train with someone who had no idea what you were looking to find? This whole procedure was quite unnecessary. He only hoped that once he found the name of his blade it would serve to be more than just the paper weight it has been since the day he got it.

He still remembers the disappointment, even now. He'd received possibly the dullest blade ever and for what? To butter all of the bread in the Seireitei?! Adrian wasn't the type of person to take this situation lightly. If the blade was supposed to be an extension of your soul why was his blade as dull as a water smoothed pebble? What exactly was that supposed to say about him? He huffed as he walked into the clearest spot he could find in the room, drawing his blade as he slipped into a more familiar stance. Through all his years of kendo practice he'd never shaken the lessons of fencing he had received in life. At this point and time it was probably for the best to fight with his native skill since his blade wasn't designed for slicing.

"Well then....shall we begin, Mr. Unnamed blade?", he asked his katana as he placed his left hand onto it and drew it from the sheath straight up into the air, twisting his wrist slightly as he pointed the blade directly in front of him. He wielded the katana just as he did with a saber so many years ago. "Maybe some provocation will get you to spill your name.", he said as he raised a hand and began an assault of rapid thrusts through the air. His speed and accuracy had grown in leaps and bounds with the addition of his kendo training but having the added training of fencing didn't hurt. Despite the bluntness of the blade a thrust this fast surely would cleave an opponent in two.

He spun with his last thrust, coming down with a diagonal strike aimed to the right. There was a whistle in the air as the blade sliced through the wind. He could hear a humming coming from the blade but it didn't feel how he imagined it would. The blade wasn't laughing with joy. It was crying. "What the hell is the matter with you?", he asked the blade as he raised it to get a closer look, noticing what looked like newer scratches and nicks in the blade. "Is my bloodlust not enough for you? Am I truly that weak?, he thought as he pondered the nature of his blade. Adrian himself was a fierce soul. He sought power and nothing else. But the power he sought was empty. He had no reason to gain this strength. He had nothing to fight for. Nothing to defend. Nothing to defeat. He had no goal in his race for strength and it showed in the wavering of his spirit as he swung his sword. It was then that he heard the question at the back of his mind, "What do you fight for?"

"What do I fight for?", Adrian asked himself as he continued on with his assault of the air around him. The question had never really crossed his mind. His default reason had always been 'just because.' Did there have to be a reason to fight? He swiped his sword through the air a few times, cutting a pattern into the area before him. He looked around the room a few times, scoping out the others.

He wasn't too keen on the idea of working with another to train but he had no choice. On his own he could only find his blade crying. What exactly was he missing? Why can't he hear it? He may have been wrong in his first assumption. Alone he stood next to no chance of hearing it but with help, despite his baser instincts, would probably prove to produce a more productive product.

Adrian could only look around. He didn't want to make the first move but it seemed the others were as timid as he was acting. He yawned and closed his eyes before opening them and replacing his normally blank face with a more pleasant, personable one. He scanned the room like a shark looking for it's next meal before finally saddling up to Rokera.

He seemed to be in the same situation Adrian was stuck in at the moment, left training against imaginary foes as the students outnumbered the Captains. He cleared his throat, trying his best not to come off in his normal condescending tone as he spoke, "Excuse, but would you mind sparring with me? I know you are probably looking for a Captain-level shinigami but at the moment it seems they are as indisposed as we are numerous." He leaned back a little as his eyes fell lazily on Rokera's person.

He seemed to be as new to the game as Adrian was. His eyes traced the blade he wielded. Now that was more what a zanpacto should look like. Adrian still pondered as to why his blade had came out dull and resisted any sort of sharpening. "Say....how long have you had your sword?, he asked as he drew his own beaten and battered blade into view.

Kenshi steps on the field and draws out his Saatchi. Kenshi searches for an opponent but in vain much to his dismay. He sighs and starts to do practice swings.

Yasu entered the training ground, eager to fight. She had a long, tiring day in class and needed to blow off some steam. But as she look around the grounds, she found everyone occupied with their own training.

"Damn," she whispered to herself.

Bummed, she pulled out her whip Yui and started attacking a nearby straw dummy; clearly unsatisfied.

Ishuri

PostPosted: Fri Jul 10, 2009 11:25 am

Ishuri walks into the training grounds as he looks at all of the intense training. He picks up his Zampactou, Kishida, and got ready to train. He walks to the practice dummy and starts swinging as hard as he can at it. As Ishuri got tired from swinging mindlessly at the dummy, he began practicing air combo moves, it's what his Zampactou was made for. He swung his Zampactou up at the dummy, as it flew up, and Ishuri jumped right to it. As he started swinging at it in the air, one of his attacks wasn't swung with enough force. As Ishuri and the dummy plummeted to the ground he says, "Damn!" Ishuri plows to the ground and struggles to get back up.

Akiaki walks into the dojo, taking everything in without so much as a blink. he walks into it taking off his sandals and feeling the soft wooden planks under his feet. He sees a shinigami strugguling to get up from the floor. He approches him, unsheathing his Kishida.

Haluesen walked into the dojo, smiling but determined. "I must train, until I can find my zanpacto. I know I can do it, however I must!" He approached a person in the room, standing before a trapped shinigami. "Hi there person! May I join you?" To emphasize, he drew a basic, old katana.

Wakes up in the middle of the night with a cold sweat. Looks around frantically and realized that he did just die not too long ago."Crap", he just realized that time moves differently in soul society. He has been training at the academy for a few years now. He jumps up, grabs his katana and heads out to the training ground. Its easy for him to find it in the dark since he has been there before. He walks into the middle of the training ground and begins by sitting in a meditative state. After sitting in complete silence he lets out a big sigh. "I guess its not tonight. Maybe after a bit of hard training." He stands up and makes his way over to a training dummy. He takes a relaxed stance. While holding his sheath in his right hand at his side, he relaxes his left hand. He stares at the dummy, then with a sudden jolt of like lightening. He draws his sword out with his left hand and swiftly strikes upward. Holding his arm in the air, he watches as the dummy splits apart. He then slowly sheaths his sword. "Not bad." He then switches hands."Now lets see how good I am with this hand." He again takes his relaxed stance in front of another dummy and stares for a moment. Again like a jolt of lightning he draws the sword with his right hand this time. A swift strike upward again, but this time the dummy didn't get completely split."Damn, still have more practice with this arm." He sheaths the sword and then straps it to his waist so he can practice his draw strikes. After he does 30 draw strikes he then switches to just practicing his right handed fighting. He stopped swinging at the dummies and moved to striking a tree. Not only will it last longer for practice but it will help strengthen his right arm. He begins to strike the tree over and over again, with each strike he hits the tree with every ounce he has. The tree is getting fairly battered and damaged. After striking the tree repeatedly for an hour, he begins to feel very tired. He tries to take another swing at the tree. He makes contact but immediately drops the katana."I guess that will have to do for the night." He picks up the sword, sheaths it and then places it next to him on the ground as he again takes a meditative state. This time he can feel his reaistu very strongly. He concentrates on seeing what his zanpacto should look like. A ball of energy forms around what was once his regular katana. The energy begins to change the sword. When Ryou opens his eyes he is amazed and thrilled to see what he sees in front of him. If it wasn't for the fact that it is longer than a normal katana he wouldn't have noticed it at all. "It worked!" After trying repeatedly since he left the academy he finally obtained his zanpacto. Running back to his room, I can't wait to unlock its full potential, was all he could think. Once to his room he held on to his zanpacto very tightly and fell fast asleep in his bed.
