An academy was a place for learning and growth, so why did Shisei felt he was ousted out of knowledge. He was the one with the biggest desire to learn justu. An avarice hunger as great as the feeding nature of a whale shark. Yet in the end the Orochi child was the farthest behind in all of the arts. Not one jutsu he had learned while staying on the island for so many months. All the while others learn them. Those who either lacked the motivation or the talent to truly master the art and therefore were not sufficient enough to learn it. Little snake ran quickly as his breath escaped through his mouth quicker. The youth noticed that the academy was surprisingly open at this time of night, specifically the supply room. His form slowed down to a walk and moved by the edge of the door to investigate who was inside. It was just a small curiosity the Shisei never planned to get involved. The gold eyes stared at a girl who was shorter than him. The female in question had a dark blue horsetail and clothes that seemed too big for her. A mixture of black and olive. Her hands were tied behind her back doing some type of training with a ball. She seemed to be diligent at her work. The cold boy remembered in the past there was a significant lost at the facility. Something with iron balls. In the present that loss still haunted him, but for different reasons now. Thus why the memories of the perpetrator or perpetrators were now shadows, but the feeling still remained. The Orochi youth turned away leaving the student to continue her training. He wondered how many students were present at the academy now. Perhaps… his peers. A slight disgust formed in his mouth from just that thought. Without a whisper of a word the youth left the academy and continued on his run.

She began to stand up, in slow motion to her, however with lightning speeds to any onlookers. She lifted her right leg in a grace full manner, keeping it bent at the knee so she could give quick powerful kicks. She hopped gently to the right, so that she could line herself up perfectly with the other balls. She had launched them to close together, and now couldn't afford snazzy acrobatics in order to keep them propperly juggled. As they flew towards her she gave two swift kicks, knocking them back towards the wall. However not only did she kick them, but also changed the angle she hit them at, altering the distance it would take to reach the wall, but at a constant speed, which would in turn give her more time between her next hits. She jumped onto her right foot, lifting her left up and going into a round house like action, knocking the next ball towards the wall. She brought her leg down in a dramatic slide, kicking even more dust up. Blood was now coming from her nose, painting her upper lip a small amount. However she didn't mind.
She didn't even notice the runner, who was jogging by. All that mattered to her was this right now, nothing else. The balls made a loud kathunk sound once again, as they began their rebound. Her forehead was growing hot, but not sweating yet. Even if it did begin, her band would keep it out of her eyes. She wondered if her shoes would hold, she was sure fine, however it was no secret that she was beginning to work herself.
Amane's Kick Ball! While most Taijutsu styles rely on hitting the opponent in the face until said face breaks, the Ashi clans fighting style is purely based on swift kicks to softer regions of the body that can't be toughened by muscle as easily. In order to mimic the feeling of the opponent quickly trying to move and dodge, a game of hard ball is in order! Three rubber balls must be acquired from the supply room of the academy, then you must find a flat wall (against the academy outside, or the Grade 2 Classroom should do). Next kick each ball, immediately after one another. From there on out it's easy, you must not use your hands, and the balls can not touch the ground. Can you keep up with your swift kicks to keep the balls from loosing speed? 1d20+ Taijutsu DC: 12 + Taijutsu Train: 4/3 DC Fail: -2 hp (getting hit by a speed ball hurts!)

The three balls flew at the wall, each hitting at a different time, and going at a different angle. She bent her legs since the first one was higher up, which she would need to get to. With a quick jump, she was up in the air, doing another spin kick, much like the one she had demonstrated earlier. This seemed like a favorite attack of hers, maybe. Her foot connected easily and was sent flying back down, and she fell, bending her knees slightly upon impact, to lessen the pressure of the fall. Quickly, without missing a beat of course, she spun around backwards and kicked straight out, hitting the ball in a lance like manner. With that same leg outstretched she leaned her upper body down, and began to move her leg in a round arch. As it moved she bent her foot, catching the ball in her heel, and then, as you have probably guessed by now, she flung that one towards the wall with the other three. Her leg slowly fell to the ground as her eyes persisted, never wavering.
Her goal was obvious, it was the fighting style perfected by the Ashi clan. It was something that only they could do, and as she felt the chakra run through her legs, amplifying the speed of them to a new extreme, this is what she was. As her heart beat once per minute, as the jogger seemed to slowly go by, she wondered, if it would ever be normal, this life. A wide smile crossed her face, the warm blood still flowing from her nose. She sure hoped not, this was way to fun to give up!

Amane was slowly finding herself running out of breath, she could only keep this pace up for a little bit longer. Her forehead was no longer just hot, however now it was beginning to grow wet with sweat. It was odd that all this was happening, odd since it was happening so fast, really. She had only been here a little while yet she already had a nasty nose bleed, and was working so hard that she was sweating, and out of breath. But did any of that matter right now? The answer was much to obvious, she was getting ready to hopefully finish this up for now, however there was no way to really tell how long this would last. She turned and faced the red balls flying towards her, jumping in the air she began to preform a scissor kick, in order to hit the two balls coming at her. As she landed she brought her left leg up and whacked back the ball, making it go flying back towards the wall, at even a higher speed than the two she hit with her scissor kick. She hit the ground with some fair, once again smiling at her victory. She didn't mind the sweat, the nose bleed was small, these were all things that she could tough out.
She went into thought about why she was doing this. She knew the obvious answer, she had known it since she was a kid. Her fathers drinking buddies always criticized him for not being able to utilize chakra properly, so she, at a young age decided why bother? She would become a running Taijutsu specialist, using her speed to cause damage, and her agility to escape the fight easily. A combination that would be a devastating combination, in her minds anyways.

Amane watched the two balls that she kicked first. This was a miscalculation on her part. As the force of the ball she kneed made it fly past the other two, and rebound on the wall hardest. As she realized this, she tried to move her leg to defend against the ball, however she was no where near quick enough, and felt the ball slam against her chin, knocking her sideways, but not over. Instead she lifted up her left foot, knocking the other ball in the air. With another swift kick the third ball was in the air as well. She spun around, doing one spin after another as the balls fell towards the ground, in many ways it was much like a ballerina. With one kick after another, striking the balls so they would fly back towards the wall. Her chin hurt, but on the bright side, she couldn't even notice her nose anymore. The speeds of the red balls were now broken up, so hopefully it would be easier for her to react and counter each one of them, though who knew at this point, sweat was making her loose cloths cling to her body. She didn't have the nice sweat of a young girl, but instead smelled the stench of an athlete.
It had been a few minutes, her heart beat once more. Or rather it had been half an intense second. She didn't know, and at the moment she didn't care. Her body was beginning to ache playing hard ball, her breaths were deeper, heavier, more labored. She wasn't sure how much longer she was going to go, maybe a little, maybe a lot. It all depended on the condition of her body, how her legs would hold her up. It all depended.

Amane watched as the balls flew towards the wall, expecting that she would be able to handle the differences in speed easily. However she had no such luck, her tired body had gotten the best of her by now. She put her leg up to kick the first one, however was two slow, she cringed as it crashed into her side. This of course ruined her flow, as she fell slightly over. The second ball hit her in the shoulder, making her fall back, and the final one struck her in the chest, doing the final deed to knock her on her own a**. She hit the ground, out of breath and sweaty. However she had no time what so ever to loose. The balls were coming down to the ground, and it was her job to stop that. She quickly turned over, sticking her right leg out, causing the ball to land were the foot meets the leg. She spun around, moving the right leg up, so she could lean on it and keep her left knee down, almost as if proposing to somebody. The second ball fell to where the knee bent, and a second later she had rolled onto her shoulder, bending her head and moving the bent knee to act as a table to catch the last. She huffed for breath, she was battered and bruised however she knew she had to go on... She had to finish! She put a hand down and sprung into the air, rapidly moving and kicking her legs causing all the balls to vault into the air. Quickly she was on her feet, one hand holding the rope, another in her pocket casually. It was time to finish this... She hoped...
Her body ached, more than it had before. She had trained a lot as a kid, but not like this. It was almost as if finally choosing to become a shinobi triggered something in her. Something that made her want to push herself to a new extreme, something that made her wish to become one of the best around... Now it was only a matter of reaching that goal...

Amane kicked the balls, in a somewhat casual manner, as she often did when she got serious. She felt that the best way to fight, was by relaxing your nerves. If she were naked, one could see her seals on her body begin to glow deeply, showing that she was putting all of her concentration into this. She delivered three lightning fast blows to the balls, making them fly at the wall with lightning speeds. However, the problem with this was that she put way to much power between each kick. The balls slammed against the wall with a force that made her think they were going to pop, however a moment later they were rebounding at her, with fully speed. They each hit her, slamming into her at the same time. She floated through the air, leaving ground. One had smashed her in the nose again, refreshing that nose bleed, one in the chest, and the last in the pelvic region. Thank goodness she wasn't a boy. However that was the furthest thing from her mind right now, she was hurting to much to think of such trivial, silly useless manners such as penises.
She hit the ground, time still going in slow motion, blood now no longer trickling, but rather running down her face in a smooth stream. It wasn't an extreme injury by any sorts, however it was fairly obvious that she was hurting to an extreme. As she gazed up she saw the red balls, all floating in mid air. She chuckled a little under her breath, slightly muttering
3 Luftballons Auf ihrem Weg zum Horizont She inhaled one more deep breath, already knowing in her heart that this was where she would sink or swim.

She lay there on the ground, the balls floating above her head, blood running from her nose to her chin. Her eyes slowly began to close, as she thought of how well she had done. She had arrived here only hours ago, and already she had worked herself to the bone. As the balls began to fall, she wondered what she was to do... It hit her harder than any of these rubber balls. What would people think of her if she just gave up right here and now? If she let everything she worked for, just fall down. The seals could even be seen through her cloths, at this late of an hour. In an insteant she was on her feet, preparing a kick, stronger than any of the others! She slammed her leg into the first ball, sending it sky rocketing towards the wall, slamming into it so hard, that a loud POP could be heard. First was done. The second slowly began to fall down as well, she turned around, starting a roundhouse kick. A few seconds later, another collision, another loud pop. Finally she lifted her leg, high up into the air, in what would be an ax kick. The third ball fell right into her targeted zone. Pop. It was over.
She stood huffing for breath, feeling the sticky, snotty blood run down her face. She knew she needed to wipe it off on something, however the problem with her muscle shirt was she didn't have a lot of options. And although she wasn't girlie, she surely wasn't barbaric! She wouldn't want to wipe it off on her cloths. She fell back on her a**, and then onto her back, a wide grin across her face. Though this was really just a silly kids game, she was now a step close to becoming a full fledged Shinobi. She could already tell, this would be the first marking stone of her life.
Her eyes slowly closed, not because she was so damn tired, but more because she had forgotten where the dorms were, and didn't have the energy to spend hours trying to find it. The dirt was perfectly conferable anyways.

Amane's eyes were closed, though her mind was wide awake. A smile was now plastered on her face, the loose rope at her side, her nose bleed slowly quieting down. Her muscles began to relax, and her breath was slowly returning back to normal, though not quite there yet. She wondered about the people here in Shima, if they were all sleeping, if there were people like her who trained all through the night. People who wished to be the best, people who wanted to be the strongest. She chuckled lightly, wondering how many people were like her. She hoped not a lot, she liked to be an original!

She slowly floated off into a semi dream like state, a dream of her holding a forehead protector. A dream of her holding a forehead protector, and being a true ninja. A dream of her surpassing both her father, and her grandfather! Of having Shinobi speak her name, as people talking about the flash that just ran by! The flash that would be known as Amane of the legendary Ashi clan! Yet she was still slow, she still wasn't what she wanted to be... She was sure people could still hit her, and people could still outrun her... She knew she had to become better, stronger, faster. You might even say that she had to work it, make it, do it. She chuckled slightly thinking of her own silly line of thought, she was just a kid.

Amane dreamed about the blank faces of Shimagakure, it was almost scary actually. Dark faces, they didn't seem unfriendly, however just the unknown scared her. Other than Sea Salt San, she had not met anyone here. It was obviously to late now, however in the morning, when people were wide awake, she would try and make friends... Maybe at the academy? Who knew, maybe there was some cool place where all the young hip kids liked to hang out... but that rose a knew question, was she 'hip'? She sniffed the air lightly, cringing at her own B.O. She didn't feel like a hip girl... But then again, she didn't want to be a hip girl, what she was more worried about was would people like her for this?

Amane started to wonder, why did she even care about friends? She was to spacey and clutzy for people to like anyways. That's why she always trained with family and by herself, other kids her age just thought she was stupid. She sighed a little, her breath finally calming down, she was pretty sure the nose bleed had stopped. She was starting to get annoyed at the way she was acting. She felt so childish! She came here to become a messenger, right? Or did she come here to make friends? She chuckled again, at her own silly ways. She was in that state of not sure whether she was asleep or awake. Dreaming or hearing the sounds and chirping of night birds around her. Along with crickets and bugs. It was truly a wonderful sound.

For a few moments she wondered about standing up, wondered whether she was ready to keep on fighting. This little nap was doing her well, however she felt kind of odd just sleeping here out in the open... What if Shimagakure was full of perverts!? People who would love her small body!? She cringed in her sleep and rolled onto her side uncomfortably. She found this feeling odd, she was asleep, but still thinking. Was it possible? Did that even matter right now? The obvious answer was no, but she didn't care. These thoughts were only on her mind for a little while, as once again she started thinking about friends, or rather, her lack of. She shivered in her sleep, partly out of loneliness, partly out of the cold night that was surrounding her.

Amane chuckled again at her own silly line of thought. It was truly childish, which she almost acknowledged. It was as if she had no interest in acting like a grown up. As if that this was just fine for her. Her eyes slowly opened, finally being awake from her nap she grinned. This was only the beginning after all. She had much more to do. Her legs did feel stronger, but only by a little. She had to persist on. She had to master the Ashi Quick Leg! That was the first step in her ninja career, and that's where she would reach, no matter what. Although now she was officially awake, she still didn't move, she was still resting! She moved her hands up behind her head as she felt the night breeze, and looked into the cool black night, freckled with the sparkly stars.

She bent her legs up, and then crossed them over one another, giving a rather sleepy yawn. Though it was laced with exhaustion, it wasn't that of someone about to fall asleep. It was instead the groggy sound of someone waking up from a good nap. Her body's shape was imprinted in the dirt by now, but she didn't care. It was a somewhat nice napping place, not as good as say a nice warm bed, but good compared to hard rocks or twigs. As she looked at the stars her eyes quickly darted from one shiny star to the next, this really was probably bad for her, she wanted to be able to catch them all, and put them on her shirt and shoes. She wanted to be glittery and- she stopped herself right there, cringing at the girlie thoughts. They were so icky.
