"I usually play the defensive style, but changing things up every now and then is fine with me," Mitsu replied. Taking the offensive felt nice for a change, though she wasn't quite sure she could do the same against stronger trainers. Ater Poliwag fell and was recalled Mitsu cracked a smile at Ebony, "Way to go pal. You did awesome." She held up the Poekball and Ebony clicked the small circle recalling himself in for a nice nap. He needed his energy if he was going to be terrifing people tomorrow at the party. "Well, that's one for me and zip for you. So Let's finish this," Mitsu said before tossing out another Pokeball, "Karri."

The elegant Psychic type appeared from a flash of red light. She floated over the muddy ground finding it to be quite unplesant. The rainfall seemed to have stopped at the very least. Well, well Mitsu. Another battle already? she questioned.

Mitsu closed her eyes, It seems so Karri. Let's make quick work of this one if we can. I'd like to catch up with M.A. and Kilik. Ah, telephaty was a lovely thing Mitsu decided glad to have a conversation with her most faithful Pokemon.

Another strong looking pokemon it seemed, but it was one he had never seen before. To be honest, he knew absolutely nothing about it, not it's type or anything. "Better play this one safe, let's win this one Larvitar!" Out of Crenu's pokeball emerged Larvitar, looking just as serious as his trainer. Unlike Poliwag, he didn't move a muscle. "This one looks tough, keep your guard up."

Let's just straight to the pont Karri. Psychic. Mitsu thought. She'd seen many of the Larvitar's evolutions back in the Mossdeep gym. Tyranitars seemed to be a popular choice to combat Psychic types, but as Tate and Liza had explained to her thier lower evolutions were suspectible to Psychic typed attacks. She was glad her few friends were so informed about Pokemon. This one shouldn't last too long Mitsu mentally noted to herself. She wasn't trying to be cocky, but her faith in Karri was rather immense.

Karri's red eyes flashed a deeper crimson before her body began to glow with a green aura. She felt some kind of knowlege fill mind. It was strange, an attack that she hadn't felt she'd known before. But oddly it reminded her of. . of Ivy! She concentrated hard on this unknown force. The green aura that had surrounded her for a Psychic attack began to waver then shoot forwards in an attack that looked somewhat like Razor Leaf. It flew towards the Larvitar with alarming speed and accuracy. What attack was that? she asked Mitsu who gave a shrug in return.

Both Crenu and Larvitar seemed to waver at the same exact time. What the hell was this!? Unless Crenu was mistaken, Mitsu hadn't said a word and yet the pokemon attacked! Either it was acting on it's own or there was some real connection between the two. Either way, this sudden silent attack came at them with incredible speed. Before Crenu could make a sound, Larvitar was bombarded by the attack. Pokemon he had never seen before as well as new attacks, like the one Ariados had done not to long ago, the Hoenn region was looking more and more interesting by the moment. But this was no time to be impressed, based on the attack Crenu had to assume that the pokemon he was facing was a grass type of some kind, but this could not be confirmed quite yet. Larvitar appeared to survive the attack, but whatever it was did major damage. In one attack Larvitar was in the same condition as Poliwag after three attacks. He hated to do it, but Crenu was going to have to throw in the towel. He had nothing to gain by going on in this match, he had severely underestimated Mitsu and had gone into this thinking that her Gengar was her strongest pokemon. Calling back Larvitar, he clenched his fists to suppress his anger. "Your pokemon are miles ahead of mine."

Very strange, yet effective Karri. Mitsu thought smiling at her faithful Pokemon. Mitsu didn't bother to recall her Pokemon. She enjoyed Karri's company and she knew she'd appreciate the air. "Ah, thanks," Mitsu said. She wasn't quite sure what else to say. His loss seem to cause a spread of anger within him and she didn't feel like provoking that anger. She wanted to ask him if he would like to go to the Pokemon Center to heal his Pokemon but she feared that it would also cause his anger to spike as well. She decided against it. He would go there regardless, what trainer wouldn't?

Karri on the other hand seemed rather pleased with her new attack, almost too preoccupied to even notice her victory. Amazing. Simply amazing. I must learn how to use that more often. It's almost like razor Leaf! She stopped smiling a little to converse with Crenu. "I'm a Psychic type," she said telepathicly correcting him.
PostPosted: Fri Aug 01, 2008 3:43 pm

As the an unspoken voice entered his head and corrected him, Crenu raised an eye brow. It was a little startling, but the voice as well as it's words put things into perspective for him before he had time to react in any other way. A pokemon had never spoken to him, but he had ready about the telepathic abilities of pokemon with powerful psychic energies. He was no longer surprised that he lost so easily to Mitsu, but he was still angry about it. "I've never seen a pokemon like you before." Once he spoke he started to grit his teeth, but stopped to remain from showing any more signs of his temper. It was not their fault, it was his own for being so weak. He couldn't even blame his pokemon this time, he had severely miscalculated the situation and paid for it. To avoid doing or saying anything he'd regret, Crenu decided to vent his anger in the most productive way possible. He bowed his head and turned to face the beach area, he could feel the sand blowing in their direction. He threw a pokeball outward and released Hitmonlee who seemed happy to be getting out again. "Come on Lee." His fists were still clenched as the Hitmonlee nodded and the two started to make for the beach. "It's been a pleasure."

"Gardevior. Look it up," Karri spoke to the serious trainer. She floated back over to Mitsu enjoying the lovely sunlight of the beach. "Sure. See you around," Mitsu said waving slightly as Crenu took his leave. She wanted to swap Pokenav numbers, but decided against it. It was better if she let him vent out his anger then hold him up here for any of her silly reasons.

Mitsu stretched her arms a bit. "How about we grab some ice cream Karri? You haven't had any in a while. They've got some pretty good ones here," Mitsu said
to the Pokemon to answered telepathicly, "Sounds good to me."

As they walked words the beach, Crenu couldn't help but grin a little. His anger towards himself was there, but he felt no malice for Mitsu or her pokemon now. In fact, he wasn't sure he ever felt any towards them in the first place. She was strong, and that was not something to be looked at in a negative fashion. In fact, knowing someone like that actually got his blood pumping! "Heh, know what Lee? I think I'm starting to like her." The Hotmonlee looked at Crenu curiously, but then turned to face forward again. Such a thing didn't seem to be very important to him. Crenu appeared to take on the same mind as they reached the river of sand that came before the ocean, and Crenu had to take his shoes off. He left them with his coat near the edge of sand where it met the pavement and went off into the sand with Hitmonlee. "Alright Lee, time for battle training now. Let's see what you've got!"

"MMMmmm~mmm," Mitsu sounded as she enjoyed her second ice cream cone of the day. This time she had gotten a coffee flavored one which seemed to even give her more of a sugar rush than the mango flavored one. "Ya know, I really should have gotten his number. Even if he was all serious and stuff," Mitsu commented absetmindedly.

"Then why did you? You're always so indecisive," Karri replied laughing as she ate her own ice cream cone, strawberry flavored. She floated along the gravel as the two walked back towards the beach.

Mitsu kicked off her shoes and socks before stuffing them into her bag. Walking barefooted in the sand felt nice. It was warm and soft. There wasn't much sand on Mossdeep and it usually didn't feel this warm either. "A girl could get use to living here," she said walking through the sand kicking it up a bit. "Wonder where M.A. and Kilik went," Mitsu questioned to herself. They seemed to know each other. Maybe they went out to battle or maybe they were on a date or something. Then again, probably not, M.A. hadn't mentioned having a boyfriend or anything.

"Rolling Kick!" Crenu ordered as Hitmonlee hit the sand, not being given any time to recover from his last move. The sand was soft, but it also made it hard to get the right footing. Hitmonlee hopped forward a little and swung his leg in a downward spiraling motion. Sand flew up into the air as he made contact, it was strong but Crenu was not happy with it. "Not enough movement, it lacks power still. Power comes from the hips in most kicks Lee, put your body first... like this." Crenu also hopped forward, he didn't get as much air as Hitmonlee but it was enough to get his point across. First Crenu spun his body, leaving his leading leg behind as he turned. Once his upper body had turned as much as it could, Crenu swung his leeding leg forward, the speed of his leg being fed by the rotation of his hip spinning to get back in line with his torso. Hitting the sad hard, Crenu got up and shook himself off, his leg was throbbing a bit but he ignored it. "Now you try." Hitmonlee nodded and imitated his trainer, doing it almost like Crenu. He had been leading with his leg before, so it was hard to switch to a new style right away. But there was more spin in his Rolling Kick now and when he hit the sand with his leg the resulting 'splash' of sand was much greater. "Good, again!" the sun was blazing and the two wre sweating hard, but Crenu more so than Hitmonlee. He was no pokemon and didn't have their endurance, he was probably going to hurt himself again but he went on kicking with Hotmonlee to improve both of their techniques.

By the end of the train ride Robin was pretty sure she was sick of trains. This was like the third one it two days! The seats weren't all that comfortable Luffy didn't help by laying on her legs, and it was to packed inside the small car. When they finally did get to Slateport Robin couldn't have been happier. Grabbing Luffy, who scampered onto her shoulder she made a dash for the cabin's door. Some of the other passengers Robin ignored them, all she knew is that she had to get out of this boring train. Luffy didn't seem to mind and he just laughed and made faces at the people behind him. The door slid open and Robin and Luffy quickly made there way out of the train station and into the beach city of Slateport.

"Haha! We are finally here Luffy!" Robin cheered stretching her limbs. Turning to look at Luffy she gave him a small grin. "What do you say to visiting the beach? Luffy seemed to like that idea and jumping off of her shoulder and dashing off in the direction that smelled like the ocean. "Gah Luffy!" Robin called out taking off after her small wild pokemon. Sometimes he was a pain but Robin wouldn't trade him for anything. So laughing they both dashed down to the beach ready to play in the sand and maybe the surf.

With a final crunch of her ice cream cone Mitsu licked her fingers slightly to get rid of the sticky substance that clung there. It was really good, but the sun had melted it a bit too fast before she could eat all of it before it began to drip over her fingers. Karri, having that lovely Psychic powers, was able to eat it without using her hands as her mental powers held up the cone for her. And of course, it prevented dripping as well.

Up ahead there was a girl and a strange purple Pokemon walking through the sand. It was a Pokemon she hadn't seen before. "I wonder what those are," Mitsu questioned. "Hey there. I'm Mitsu!" she said waving slightly, "I was wondering what kind of Pokemon you have there." She decided to approach the girl, she didn't seem to be the 'oh-my-gawd-battle-now' kind of girl.

Glancing up at Mitsu Robin stared for a moment not sure if the girl was talking to her. When she had decided that yes she was indeed talking to her Robin grinned slightly. "Hello Mitsu, my name is Robin." She waved at her before looking over at Luffy, who had spotted Karri's ice cream and was watching it with big hungry eyes. "Thats my pokemon Monkey D. Luffy, I call him Luffy though, he's an Aipom." Looking over at Karri she stared for a moment, she hoped she wasn't being rude but she had never seen any pokemon like her though. "Umm I don't mean to be rude but I have never seen a pokemon like yours either."

Luffy who decided that watching Karri eat was not as fun as eating scooted closer and closer until he was close enough to snatch it with her tail. He could almost taste that ice cream all ready!

Seeing what her pokemon was up to Robin quickly stepped forward and Snatched Luffy up into her arms. " Luffy! Don't steal!"

"Nice to meet cha Robin!" Mitsu smiled, "An Aipom, eh? Intresting." It was purple and she liked that color though she had to admit it looked a bit silly and odd. But ya know, odd in that kind of cute way. She almost wanted to whip out her Pokedex and check but she felt that would be rude at the moment.

"I'm a Gardevior," Karri said telepathicly, answering for herself. It was the second time today that someone had to ask what species of Pokemon she was. "I'm a Psychc type, not Grass in case you were confused," she added taking into account Crenu's earlier misconception. Karri laughed upon seeing the Aipom hunt after her ice cream. She decided to hand over the remained of her cold confection and used her powers to transport it over to the Luffy's tail.

Luffy's face lit up when Karri handed her ice cream to him, the cone was gone so fast you had to wonder if Karri had even handed it over. Happily licking his tail paw clean Luffy stared up at the others from under his straw hat.

Upon hearing Karri's voice in her head Robin jumped slightly in surprise, she had not expected that. "Is that how you are talking into my head?" It was felt kinda weird that someone could read her mind." Umm thanks for giving Luffy your ice cream. He can be a brat like that sometimes." She trailed off at the last part looking down at Luffy who had found a stick and was drawing something in the sand. Knowing this was never a good thing, Luffy was no Smeargle after all, she bent down and took a look at it.

Luffy's picture turned out to very VERY crude picture of Karri, ok thats what Robin thought it was, it could have been anything really. "Your not good at this Luffy." She muttered to herself. Luffy however either didn't hear her or decided he didn't care. He was very proud of his drawing of the nice pokemon who had given him her ice cream cone! She was great in his book, then again anyone who feed the Aipom was good in his book.
