"Yeah the paint mare. It's a good thing that she's here we have a few foals on the way and no one's better with them than her." He was clearly proud of Gwen and streched his hand out to Path. "These are some of the wild horses, Wildfire's in here to help them get adjusted." He stood at the fence leaning against it. "Gwen honey do you need anything?"
Konoha was curious, she carefully walked over to Wildfire and watched, creeping slowly closer.

Gwen just shook her head in answer to Cedric's question as she helped Wildfire. Finally the foal slid the rest of the way out. He lay still for a minute as Wildfire began cleaning him off. He raised his head then tried to stand.
Path nuzzled Cedric's hand, watching the birth. He had come to like his human's mate, that is how he thought of Cedric, he didn't really understand human relationships.
"He is a Clydesdale isn't he?"Dawson asked gesturing to Path, who was watching him with a curious look.
((I think I posted a pic and we discussed the foals in a pm. I think I'll find a new pic while I think of a name))

"Partly at least." Cedric patted Path's muzzle. With his other hand he dug out a mint and offered it to the stallion. "We brought him in with the mare over there. He put up quite a fight for his girl. We're training him to help with the heavier work. He's rideable now, at least a little." He looked over to the foal with a smile.
"Congratulations Gwen, Wildfire." Johnson stood up and brushed off his jeans and came back to Kalypso.
Konoha looked at the foal and shook her mane again. She trotted back to Path laying her head over his back again. She looked carefully at Dawson and flicked her tail. "Who's he?"

"I'm not exactly sure."Path murmured munching on the mint. He snorted softly gazing at Wildfire's foal with soft eyes. "I can't wait until our foal comes"he nickered nuzzling Kohona.
"Who is the one working with him?"Commander asked gazing around at ll the commotion.
The foal made it to his feet. He was a black Appaloosa. He nosed against Wildfire then began to feed after she had rolled to her feet. She nuzzled him and began licking him.
"I think I'll name him Aedán, it means little fire."Gwen said slipping out of the pasture and wiping her hands on her jeans.

"Neither can I. She's heavy and is much too fond of kicking." Konoha nipped at her own belly and looked towards the foal.
"Gwen mostly, on occasions I'll help her." Cedric smiled at Gwen. "That's a good name for him. He sure is a pretty little thing."
Konoha snorted swishing her tail. Her belly iched and she couldn't reach the spot even though she tried. She tried again and nearly toppled over. Picking up a back foot she kicked at her ich, only making it worse. It was one of the more annoying things and she had gotten used to pressing her belly up against the fence to get Gwen or Colonel to scratch it for her, but she didn't trust the new man. It nearly drove her up the wall so she walked up to the fence and snapped at the man, shooing him away and pressed her belly against the fence.

Kalypso whinnied again, being devoid of attention. He watched Wildfire and her new colt. He backed away form the fence and walked over to where the two were, but stopped a good distance away. "He's beautiful Wildfire." He said to her, smiling. He saw Johnson in the pasture and trotted up to him, grabbing his shirt between his teeth and tugging him playfully. He stopped only a moment to look at the new man, then resumed.

"Don't mind Kohona, Commander, her belly is itching because of the foal and she is still cautious around strangers."Gwen said scratching the mare's belly for her.
"Its ok. My favorite horse as a child was the same way when she was pregnant."Dawson said chuckling. He leaned down to pet Kavik who was sitting at his feet between him and Cedric.
Path nuzzled Kohona. "She sure will be a feisty little one."he snorted thinking of their foal.

Johnson pushed Kalypso's muzzle away with a smile. "Hey hey hey. You are suppost to be on your best behavior." He laughed and tugged on the stallions mane, ignoreing his own words. He lightly pushed the stallions shoulder still laughing.
Konoha eyed the man before closeing her eyes enjoying the scratch. She put her head over the fence and blew in Gwen's face and looked at Path. "She'll be a handfull to keep up with." The foal turned several painful summersaults. She nudged Gwen, side stepping away from the fence and the new man. For a breif second she lowered her head but only sniffed the grass. She was hungry yet she wasn't intrested in anything.
Cedric wrapped an arm around Gwen's waist. "It's a big improvement for that mare to even let someone touch her. So Commander what's on the list of things for today? Besides other foalings." He watched Konoha's behavior, all which pointed to the foal dropping soon.

Kalypso snorted a laugh. "Yeah, whatever..." He snorted. He nickered pivoted away from Johnson, breaking into a collected canter and going around the pasture once before turning towards Johnson and lengthening into a gallop. He slid to a halt in front of him and nibbled at his shoulder, tossing his head.

Sundance glanced at the colt Wildfire had. Slowly, she walked up to Wildfire and nuzzled her friend. "Congradulations. He's a beauty. What's his name?" Sundance asked, snifing the foal. Sundance's belly was quite big, and the foal wouldn't stop kicking. Sundance didn't mind it, but sometimes it got annoying and she would n** at it to calm it down. This wouldn't be Sundance's first birth. She had foaled many of colts and fillies, who grew up to stallions, geldings and mares. Some of them got sold and some of them where kept at the fort.
Sundance snorted softly and nuzzled her own stomach, wich she felt the young foal kicking restly wanting to be out into the opened air. Sundance thought that it might be a filly. She felt the foal kick harder and harder and become more restless. Ughh it's going to come today alright. Sundance thought. She had always enjoyed the birth of foals, and loved to have foals.
Amy where sitting on the porch watching the men hustle out and in of the stables, training the horses etc. Amy yawned silently and leaned over the fence. She giggled as she watched Kaylpso and Johnson play fight and smiled. Bella barked excidetly at Dawson, and leaped into a gallop, her tounge hanging side-ways from her mouth. Giving another bark, Bella lept into the air, and onto Dawson.

"Apparently being tackled by large canines..."Dawson said chuckling as he was almost bowled over by Bella. "This one isn't yours, is she?"he asked Gwen kneeling to pet Bella.
Gwen laughed. "No she isn't mine. That's Bella, Amy's dog. That horse by Wildfire is Sundance, she is about ready to foal."she explained pointing out the mare. Kavik rubbed up against Bella whimpering wanting to play. He playfully nipped her then trotted off a few steps.
"Thanks. His name is Aedan, it means little fire."Wildfire nickered returning her friends nuzzle.
Aedan studied this new horse who had approached him and his dam. He sniffed Sundance then wobbled off towards the fence on still wobbly legs. His ears were perked with curiosity.
"That is for sure. I can just see ll the trouble her and Aedan, Wildfire's colt, will be getting into. Lets hope Sundance's foal will not be as spirited and be the voice of reason in the group."Path chuckled, recognizing the look of daring in Aedan's face.
((Its good thing being surrounded by girls fits Aedan's personality since the other foals are both girls. LOL))

Konoha nuzzled him lovingly. "It will be good for her to have some one to play with, if she has to be born here." She still wasn't settled on the thought of having her foal born at the Fort. The foal wouldn't settle and caught herself in an uncomfortable position. Without more warning than stepping away from Path she dropped to her knees and then to her side, with a small whiny of pain, she rolled to her back in order to turn the foal. She laid on her side for a long moment before looking back towards her tail and then laying her head back on the ground. She laid there with her ears back and rapidly swishing her tail as the foal turned again, pushing against her side enough so that the movement could be seen.
"Amy's just now learning how to train and handle horses. She's working with that black stallion over there." Cedric motioned to him and Johnson playing. He rubbed his thumb against Gwen's hip watching the different mares. "I think we'll have more than one new foal in this pasture by the end of the day.
Johnson laughed he stroaked the stallion's muzzle and played with his forelock. "Bet you can't catch me boy." Johnson dashed around the stallion standing by his flank and ready to turn with the stallion if Kalypso did so.

Kalypso snorted a laugh and spun around in the same direction as Johnson was, then switched his game up and went the opposite way, catching him off guard, and nipped at his sleeve again. He chuckled and trotted gracefully away again, before coming back and trotting tight circles around him.

Bella licked Dawson's hand and gave a little bark. Wheeling around she nipped at Kavik's ears and then bolted, wagging her tail. She gave a bark again and contiued to run.
Sundance tossed her head. "It suits him well." Sundance snorted. "Exusce me.." Sundance said quitely before going over to the tree. Her coat glismered in the morning sunshine. She gave a little whinny, flinched and side-stepped, as the filly kicked her hard in the stomach. "Enough!" Sundance scoled her unborn filly, but the filly just kept on kicking and Sundance knew it was time..

Gwen smiled up at Cedric. She turned to watch Kohona. "Looks like Kohona and Sundance will have their foals at the same time,"she said softly.
Aedan trotted up to Kohona, nuzzling her curiously. "Be careful."Wildfire warned the colt.
Kavik took off after Bella, his powerful legs pumping. He ran alongside her, nipping and bumping her playfully.
