Has anyone realized the lack of care about teenage sex. The sexual act in itself is a beautiful thing, but many people (on Gaia, and I realize that this does not represent the world) seem to actually support underage sex.
But they also say that they can get an abortion if they get pregnant.
Is anyone else bothered by this?

I'm going to necro this post, because some relevance to it has just sprung up int central debate in ED: Beware the Jabberwock You have to remember that lots of people who become doctors do so to help people. When you're a doctor, for the most part, you've learned about life and what it is and what is human and all that fun stuff. It would have to be pretty hard to be a doctor and not see the fetus as a person.
On that note, if you've made a career of something to help people, most of the time you're not too keen on rushing off to kill them. Now many of the pro-choicers are saying that personal beliefs shouldn't get in the way of professional actions, i.e. abortions and having a moral dilemia against them. Now I'm tinking that this is unfair to the doctor (I myself hoping to become one) because he should not be forced into something he doesn't wish to do. They then responded that s/he shouldn't have been a doctor in the first place. So, do personal beliefs have some say in your profession, or should they completely stay out? ~~~~~ Why we call it the ED's central abortion thread I don't know. It's more of a blender for pro-lifers to walk into and be shredded to peices and twisted around in thought. Sad really.

I'm very bitter. I watched that stupid Kamau Kambon speech last night, and it reminded me of how one person said that only white people can be racist. Because this guy was saying he had the final solution to the white problem. It was along the same lines as another final solution in recent history, and I don't much fancy dying anytime soon. So I won't say anything about that thread.
There are those who feel that abortion is a responsible solution to unintended pregnancy. Afterall, why we all know that it's alright to kill people to make a problem go away.

Why must pro-lifers idiocize themselves by making bad, illogical attempts at cannonizing all pro-choicers as evil and monsters. We're not the Nazi's, we're just people with different opinions, why is it that when people say your opinion is wrong you guys go apeshit and attack with "Quit trying to call us evil, we just have different opinions! ETC. ETC." but when WE have different opinions, you guys call us Hitler? It seems pretty hypocritical.
