"Huh? Edward, what's wrong?" Haph asked as she got dragged away. After marcus spoke she stood still, shifting her weight from foot to foot. This was awkward. This feels like tug of war. "Edward is something bothering you?" She asked, then turned to marcus, "I'm sorry, Edward seems distressed, maybe we can continue this conversation another time?" She asked, giving him her winning smile.

Haph laughed, "the way edwards been acting lately, he seems just about ready to eat anyone!" Haoh was surprised, she had laguhed unexpectedly, and it had been an uncontroleed impulse.

"He's just jumpy if you ask me. I'm rather surprised he hasn't run home to check on his brother yet. Or to go see Arrow. Which ever excuse he wishes to use." Marcus said laughing lightly.

"Oh heavens no. Vic wouldn't allow it any danger to approch Arrow, and as for Alphonse, he's brother take excellent care of him. I know he's been ill lately I was just surprised he's stayed here this long." Marcus answered cooley.

"Ah i see, But that does bring up a good point, Edward what are you doing here anyway?" Haph asked, this peice fo the puzzle would help her greatly. She wanted to peice these things together, but she realised taht at the moment, that didn't help her mission. She knew who Marcus was, but she didn't know his goals or anyhting. She could give her report now, but it would be a skimpy one. She needed more information, more 'dirt'.

" Haph well I uh..." Edward began, then he straightened up, that regal flash appeared in his eyes,"Marcus,please this has gone on long enough" his voice came out like velvet then he turned and walked from the room.

Without bowing Edward turned on his heels and pulled Haph out of the mansion.

"Bye Marcus! I"ll be sure to drop bye!" She promised as she was dragged out of the room. As they left the mansion, haph chuckled, "Well that was sertantly interesting Edward. I didn't knowyou had such fine friends. But you still didn't answer my question." She paused, thinking of Edwards previous reaction, "Well, if you don't want to answer you don't have to..."

Haph piped up, "i'm back too!" She walked into the store, and discarded her coat on one of the coat racks. She walked into the bathroom, and washed off the last traces of soot from her face. Staring into the mirror she had the feint idea that something was missing. Suddenly she remeberd. "Edward! Sorry, I have to go back to the mansion! I left my briefcase!" She hurried across the room, and grabbed her coat. "Where did i put it? Oh man, this is not good! I know! It's still in that room with Marcus!"

"Edward, welcome back. You too...bye Haph." Arrow said coming down the stairs still in her pajamas. "Ed, we have a small problem." She said calmly although you could see a small trace of annoyence behind her eyes dispite the smile that crept onto her face.
"Yes and take that to Henry he'll probably want that." Marcus calmly handed a bundle of papers to a maid who nodded and left the room. Looking up, his quill stopped mid word. Setting it down he stood crossing the room and lifting it. Returning to his desk he set it down. That was with the girl who'd snuck into his mansion. "Time to do some research." Marcus said snapping the clasps open on the briefcase and opening it. His eyes went a little wider. "What on earth?"
