As he suspected, his body could still foreword, it had been pure clumsiness on his part last time. As he pushed through his second "Official" set, his thoughts were starting to fill with a familiar song again.
He couldn't help but laugh at this, so it seemed the stirring of old memories had locked the Hymn in his mind... he made no effort to deny the song, allowing it's notes to echo across his focus... if anything, it would keep his mind occupied.

Great were his deeds, all his words were true... he lived and died a man of honor...
He paid with his life, for his was the price... to pass the gates the gates immortal...
Sweat started to form as he completed his third set, no intention of stopping in sight. He expression was resolved, even if he feel again, he wouldn't stop... he was stronger than even the he of yesterday... he could push through...

Thy journey begins with...thy sword in the wind...
Stay thy hand, rest thy command...
For odins call...was heard heard above them all, thy name shall never die...
The Hymn had been one of his favorites...before... before he saw the truth. He completed his fourth set still in good condition. He was actually enjoying this, like running it seemed he could take to this as well. When he'd first heard about the hymn as a child, he'd assumed it had been about the Hero of legend, but actually listening to it later, he realized it's meaning was far deeper.
The true purpose of the hymn was to refer to all true warriors, and their fate... to live by the sword is to die by the sword...he smiled good thing he didn't really consider himself a warrior. Still, even now he thought the song...enchanting, in a intriguing sort of way, that and it was about conflict, which amused him to no end.

Long shall we remember, he who walked the road of danger...
Master of revenge, deaths no stranger...
Blood and death lived on his sword...
The god of war his only lord...
Into the depths of hell go all he fell...
The work out seemed so much easier than before, but his injuries from the first fall were starting to bother him, and yet still his body seemed just as determined as he to persevere. He narrowed his golden eyes, filling with conviction... his efforts would not be in vain...that he knew... they'd already started to show themselves...he had to keep going...

Take Thy shield, take thy sword, all thy weapons to the sky...
Yee shall need them, when Odin bids thee rise...
For none but the brave shall rise up from the grave...
To see the Valkyries fly...
The Hymn was actually based from some ancient religion long dead from the world, but in retrospect, he suspected that a fair few in modern world of shinobi still held it's basic ideals in high regard... the greatest honor in this religion was to die in honor...that is to say, in battle. He suddenly wondered... would they go to this place? To Valhalla? If it existed that is.
He shook his head and finished his sixth set.

Rise Brother rise, past Valhalla's gates...
Here all great warriors await...
Reborn from thy steal, all our wounds be healed...
From the earth to the sky, let no son of Odin die...
Odin was the name of the god in that religion, his father had an entire book on the subject. But Odin was a god, and as a rule Xen didn't take to gods. They were born with a destiny to be great, born with all the powers men could only dream of...it wasn't like he outright hated them for it, realizing he would take advantage of such power were it his... but still... they rubbed him the wrong way.
He moved on to the eighth set.

In Xen's Opinion, he'd probably much rather meet the warrior the Song seemed to speak of. While it's true that Xen probably wouldn't agree with him on almost every point, Xen actually tended to enjoy the company of naive idealists. Perhaps it was because of his past, but he liked to think it was more because they were so funny. Always so childish and gung ho, this warrior seemed like the type of man people always pictured when they pictured "Hero." And Heroes amused him almost as much as conflict did. They might never agree on how the world was, but he suspected they'd get along fine... until they either became a liability or got in his way... but, eh, it happens.
80 finished...

His arms suddenly twinged with pain, it was but a moment of weakness, but it was enough. He collapsed yet again, slamming hard unto the ground. He pushed himself off the ground, ignoring the dull throbbing pain. He wasn't seriously injured, yet. He realized he should probably rest now, take a breather, but that wasn't the way he operated in cases like this. Normally he eer'd to the side of caution, careful consideration and thought, but when it came to bettering himself his immovable conviction wouldn't let him stop. He fought his way back into position, and though he felt tired, he pressed on, starting the ninth set over again...

He pushed himself through the pain, through the fatigue his body was starting to bother him with. He knew he could handle it, knew he could do this... he looked down. He could see the imprint he'd made from his falls, see his failings, but it was just like looking at the road behind you. Those were stones you'd already crossed...all that was left was the road ahead...
Sweat was actually moistening the dusty beneath him, and in a way, it almost seemed his imprint was crying...he forced out a laugh, and pushed himself back up... 90...just ten more to go.

His arms shook but he steadied them quickly, adrenaline was pumping through him and he felt almost he was getting a second wind. He ignored his pain and seemed to finish the last ten with great ease. He smiled and with a great push launched himself up slightly, not leaning back unto the post, but into the air. With a twist he landed in a crouch, before slowly rising, his wind running itself through his dull silver hair, bringing him relief. "Aces." he said plainly. He then staggered back and slid down against the post with his coat.
He took a deep inhale, then exhaled slowly. Well there was that done... his ribs twinged slightly with pain and he half nodded to himself. He leaned back and closed his eyes. He'd rest here, for a time. He'd see about the Jutsu when he woke up.

The dream was, from the very beginning, different than any before, yet as always he felt no fear.
Xen was standing alone amidst a field of flowers, he was surprised at first, looking around with something akin to wonder. But suddenly, all the flowers fell away, withering, yet from each one a butterfly flew, filling the air with a collage of shifting colors and twisting shapes. Xen pushed up his glasses still wide eyed, awe over taking him at the sight. High above, all the butter flies came together, and there a massive and spectacular explosion, like lightning across the sky. From the aurora like blast, petals started to rain down, red and rose like.
Xen looked at all this confused... then he started to hear the voices.
"Give up!"
"Can I say just one thing?" Xen's eyes were puzzled at first, the voices unfamiliar to him.
"I don't wanna hear it, now die!" There the sound a slashing Kunai, a shifting of movement.
"You should give up..." The was a sound of burting smoke, the tell tale sound of a clone dispersing. "Trying to make me give up." The voice seemed to be coming from another location now, but... there was a sound of whipping air, the collision of a blow.
"Ugh...even if you kill me, another assassin will take my place... hehe...there will be no peace...so long as we live in this accursed world of ninja's." Xen's face was composed now. He didn't recognize it at first because he'd never actually heard voices speak it out, unless his mother's counted. But he'd heard the words before, read to him from his very favorite book.
"Then...I will break the curse..." the voice said with conviction. "If there is peace I will find it... I won't give up!!"
"...Who...are you?"
"My name is..."
Xenon awoke, a strong look of sorrow on his face. He sat forward, his eyes filled with hopelessness... "Illusions are beautiful things...," he looked suddenly determined. "But they are still only illusions..." he got up and cracked his neck... he was done resting for now... he'd seek out that Sujin...surely he'd know the academy Jutsu... he snatched his coat from the post and threw it on. Drawing his glasses from a pocket he flipped them open with a single hand. Placing them back on the bridge of his nose he said, quietly "A man has to know when to give up..."
HP Restored...

(The gutsy ninja nice, also you do know that you can only get +1 hp or cp per resting post right?)
Sujin hopped stepped out into the garden of the training ground once more. The boy from before sitting alone. He heard his speak of illusions. From behind he spoke in a voice so practiced and rich, his words spilled like water, "Once a man woke from a dream that he had been a butterfly, but he could not tell if he was a man dreaming he was a butterfly or a butterfly still dreaming he was a man. We cannot determine what is real and what is not, this is why there is no such thing as an illusion and no such thing as reality." He sat next to the boy. "You're an avid trainer young friend. When do you plan on graduating?"

Xen looked about quickly, his eyes flashing. He didn't like being snuck upon...he blinked, not bothering to put up his facade. "You speak in paradoxes...," he frowned. "To answer your question, I plan on graduating as soon as possible...," he smiled slightly "And it seems I was right after all...I was spared the trouble of looking for you..."senpai."" he put his hands in his pockets. "I was going to ask if you could teach me the three academy jutsu...or indeed any assistance you could give would be welcome."

"Hmm. I suppose I could lend you a hand. The academy jutsu are simple enough. How about bunshin, that ones pretty useful." He looked to the boy, he seemed almost angry. "First use Tiger, Ox, Boar, and Dog. While you build up your chakra. Than you can try for a clone. It's really quite simple." The older boy stood up, the sun was fading in the distance. This kid would have to hurry if he was going to get to learning this.
Bunshin no Jutsu For the first part of the Bunshin training, the students would practice their handseals;Tiger boar ox and dog while building up their chakra. DC: 10 Formula: 1d20 + Chakra Control Train: ?/5 Experience: +1 when handseals have been completed. Points: +1 Chakra Control No cp cost and no hp deduction. Part II The second part of the training would be to create the actual clones by using the hand seals. To successfully create a clone, the student would have to have a total of 5. At every incriment of 5, the student would make a clone. 5 = 1 clone (-1cp) 10 = 2 clones (-2cp) 15 = 3 clones (-3cp) 20 = 4 clones (-4cp) If a student only has 3 CP then he cannot create 4 clones, even if his total is 20. Resting for one post will gain back +2Cp. The must successfully complete the jutsu 4 times, disregarding how many clones they create. Formula: 1d20 + Chakra Control Train: ?/4 Experience: +1 for every clone

Xen listened to the explanation, his attitude changing over the course. He seemed passive now, but still wasn't putting up his mask, more so, he didn't even realize he wasn't.
"I see..." He nodded almost to himself. He set his stance into a firmer grounding, and put his hands together, preparing to make the first seal.

He went through the motions of the hands signs at an even pace, his chakra going through the basic flow, but not actually manifesting in the jutsu. He smiled as he went through without mistake, and actually looked to the older boy with pride, his smile genuine...then he suddenly realized what he was doing and looked back at his work, his face serious again. In truth, the fact he wasn't putting up his mask now was because he actually, to his own surprise, trusted Sujin enough to show his true thoughts, still, that wasn't to say he trusted him entirely, and it was half because he suspected Sujin would see right through him... but it was difficult to tell.
He went on with the seals.
