@Meriko: Thanks! It's good to be back!
@Petite-Imochan: Thanks! The conference was for psychology instructors. I didn't really learn anything special and interesting, but it's nice to know that the things I do in the classroom are things that experts recommend for effective instructors.
Yessssss, travels are nasty. I'm lucky enough this time that all of my flights were on schedule. My very last flight, the one to get back home, was 30 minutes late, but that's probably the best flight to get delayed because it doesn't really matter if I'm home 30 minutes late. It's not like my cats will yell at me for being 30 minutes late. xD
@Jen: Thanks! Hope you're not too snowed under where you are. So far it's been a good winter here. The roads and sidewalks are clear, so I don't need to worry so much about driving and walking. It's funny though, because this is the year I got snow tires and YakTrax in preparation for icy roads and sidewalks.

Meriko : Well, perhaps I should buy it on the Xbox360 then if I eventually do, instead of getting it on PC this time =3
Cardi : Psychology instructors? =o What does it consists in? It doesn't ring a bell, must be called in another way in French XD Ayah, I totally understand. My very first flight last year was an hour late because there was like a bomb alert or something... Y'know, just to make me even more nervous and scared XD T'was before entering the plane, not inside it obviously or I would have killed myself XD I hope you and your cats and possible others are fine XD

Once again winter was short lived here in Southern California, if you could even call it winter to begin with. Today is really warm! I have the window open and both fans on just to keep cool. I dread what summer will be like... D:

Whaaaaaaaaaaat! You...mean... California girls! XD It's still cold like... like...like North pole in here! Or a better comparison would probably "cold as Lake Tahoe with only a sweater and a scarf to protect you". *whistles* <3
Hm. But I actually don't know if I really envy you about that. I hardly stand hot weather.

Oh-my-god. It's true you are surely using Fahrenheit XD At first I was like "FIFTY DEGREES?!", and then my brain started to function for once XD In celcius, I guess 50 degrees is like...120 Fahrenheit XDDDDD We are alike then XD But it's not even that I simply hate it, but hot weather often results in nose bleeding a lot or/and feeling dizzy and eventually fainting XD

*copypaste* Update: I went to see Dad last night at the hospital. Hubby watched the kids after he got off work and I headed out to see Dad. The cancer is NOT in his marrow. Apparently the news that I had received in that reguard was the preliminary test. They now have all the tests back and it is not in the marrow.
Yesterday and today are chemo-free days but, tomorrow he starts a course of chemo that they normally only give to 25-year-olds... His cancer is a VERY aggressive form, and so to treat it... They said that with as well as his did with his last round of chemo they think he'll do fine. I asked mom, though "What if he's not fine with the chemo?" She replied; "Then we lose him." I hadn't really registered that before. Apparently this course of chemo is also what gives him a 76% chance at a cure.
So yeah...
Right now I'm not up for much on Gaia, I'm not even interested in changing my avatar, but I wanted to post and update and I look forward to seeing the support and encouragment. So thank you again to those who have been here for me helping me get through it. <3 Meriko A 76% cure rate! And really..."CURE". I didn't even know that was an option! That's amazingly good news compared to what you had feared, no? I'm happy for you and your family, and of course our prayers are with you still. *squeeze-hug* Congratulations on the wedding date for your brother and his fiance as well. ^^ Yeah, I was floored. I always thought that cancer went into remission. Thank you, we appreciate the prayers. *hug* I'm so excited! I really like his fiancé. 4laugh
Cardi: It's been tons of snow this year. I wish we could afford a snow blower. gonk But fortunatly for the most part the plows have kept the roads drivable (but I still hate driving in it). Psychology... I didn't know you taught psycology.
And in other news I've found playing FF VI to be very theraputic right now *laughs* I've had a PS1 for a long time and never really played it much, but when I was looking for FF VI for the DS I found it for the PS1 for like $13... and Santa brought it to me for Christmas...
I've also started reading a book for education purposes rather than my usual entertainment (fantasy genré) reading.
And when I'm not playing or reading, I of course still have a household of little kids and I've fianlly got myself caught up on dishes again, but I'm terribly behind on laundry.
Also, El started preschool this week and that's been fun for her, but adds to the demands on my schedule. Of couse next week it'll be really odd taking El to preschool and having Kay home. Preschool is on a traditional school schedule while the Elementary is on a year-round schedule and starting next week Kay is off-track for three weeks.
Petite-Imochan:Quote: Psychology is the science of mind and behavior. Its immediate goal is to understand humanity by both discovering general principles and exploring specific cases. For many practitioners, one goal of applied psychology is to benefit society. In this field, a professional practitioner or researcher is called a psychologist, and can be classified as a social scientist, behavioral scientist, or cognitive scientist. Psychologists attempt to understand the role of mental functions in individual and social behavior, while also exploring the physiological and neurobiological processes that underlie certain functions and behaviors...

It isn't fun.

Petite-Imochan: *ahaha* That's no good, sweetie; not everyone here lives in/near Nevada or California and knows how cold Lake Tahoe can get. XD
Oh yikes, nosebleeds and fainting? o_O; I'd hate hot weather even more too, if that happened to me.
Jen: Aggressive measures for aggressive cancer, then. It's good that the staff are optimistic. ^^ That's very good. They're not generally 'false hope' sort of people, no?
Ah, and good good. X3 It's always nice when you can get along with an even like/love the people who get added into your family circle. <3

Jenannen : Thanks for the explanation though I roughly knew what psychology is XD Just the term "instructor" actually sounds weird. XD Oh, I think I haven't done this yet : Congrats for your brother about the Wedding <3 I'll also follow everyone to encourage you, your father and all your family. Ah, I hate it so much when people are sad.
Vincent : Really? Where was that? Oo It seems like Hell to me. I'm already getting dizzy about 80-90°F/30-35°C. Yeah, this is already hot for me u_u
Hello Sunny, I love silly people, I am silly myself, so we should get on very well~
Meriko : I know, I was just teasing you my dear, eheh~ Yep, since I am little my nose bleed very easily. It improved a lot since though, because when I was like 5, my nose could start bleeding about 3 times a week in summer. Now it's a lot less often, only when it's really hot, but I still remain very cautious. Stress, headaches and cold can also have the same result beh. Yet, it's been a while now hm. I won't complain about it but it almost feels strange XD Maybe It really improved because the weather gets hotter each year XD Ah, I can avoid fainting easily, I often just need to sit down, the fact is you have to compell me or I'll just say "nononono, I'm okay, really, really *pale and trembling* Sure, i'm okay. *faint*" XD

Oh, yeah, Las Vegas XD Never been but I know it's hot by reputation XD I'd just diiiiiie! My wardrobe is composed of 99% black, by the way XD You know how it is cool to wear black in summer, don't you? XD I guess I should plan purchasing some colours and white but... Everytime I go shopping, so not often already, it's beyond my control, I buy some black clothing XD

Yep, I teach psychology. I'm a psychology teacher. Well, psychology professor.
*hugs Jen* For what it's worth, I have a sense of what you're going through. My little girl cat was just diagnosed with breast cancer last Wednesday. All I can think about is cancer sucks. It's not to trivialize cancer, but I'm just so sad and all I can think of is cancer sucks. My little girl had a hard life and did not get spayed until she was two. Then she lived in a shelter for a year until I came along and adopted her. I keep thinking that if she got spayed much earlier, this wouldn't have happened.
Anyway, we're waiting for my little girl's incision to heal. She had lumps removed last week, which were biopsied, and that's how they diagnosed her with cancer. After her incision heals, the vet will x-ray her and check her lymph nodes to see what stage the cancer is in. In the meantime, I'm trying to figure out how much ordeal I want to put her through. She's my companion and I'm very much attached to her. I know that at some point she will die. I just didn't think it will happen anytime soon.
