Seph groaned spinning Sophia around surprised by the energy she was producing suddenly "Really, you won't tell me anything? What if I tell you a secret of mine in return, and I do believe you still have to ask me a question of your choice" she reminded him petting the fiend "If you think I should start being a thief you at least need to teach me one or two things anyway"
Hebal clapped her hands diving into the couch next to Mari "Umm isn't Sophia a little... hyper compared to usual? I hope the cooking didn't tire you out too much and I would love it if you could teach me to make jam tarts at a later date... preferable rasberry flavour but I don't think we have much jam on the ship"
Alpha chuckled carefully watching Zadina with a reassuring smile"Good job so far kid. Theres good feelings and then theres just plain stupidity though. For example don't place your entire life savings on an old chocobo with 1 in 100 odds of winning and has arthritus. The people you meant probably didn't do their research on the chocobos"

Felina laughed skipping back to Oassu "Don't you worry I wouldn't put myself in danger of falling off or my little Ciddy Widdy. I just like looking at the clouds and in particular what sorts of fluffy shapes they can make. Anyway are you sure you want to be up on deck with me, you look so cold?" she asked putting her arm around him to help warm him up.
Satoshi sighed happily turning her head to glance up at Gil "I am only stating the legend about Cerberus so I don't know exactly how the summoning thing goes. I could have been a summoner I guess since theres a temple only 30miles away from my village but they are too serious. Plus I prefer physical training to meditation anyway" she stated kissing one of Gil's arms before moving back to her previous position.
Hayate nodded his head uncertainly "Sure Leviathan was useful but all the water has killed some plants unfortunately but it could have gone worse. Theres a lot of pressure leading a unit especially when almost all of them either don't know if they can trust you or doubt your abilities. Thats what happens if you dont meet your commander until the last minute"

Oassu smiled "I'm ok thanks, cold but I'm happy to be up here with you" he said seeing Cid blink in the wind "Just a little concerned since the wind is strong up here" he said.
Gil smiled kissing Satoshi right on her bikini clasp "Sure and even then your already capable of summoning Leviathan, did you need to do the summoners trials or something for that?" he asked her adjusting his technique slightly "Hows this?" he added.
Jenna shrugged "Coulda had the entire city levelled but thats not what worried me about that battle still you haven't exactly had much time to bond with your forces." she said.
Itaka smiled "Maybe the chocolate milk was a little much for you little girl" he said to Sophia seeing her bounce in her lap. "You don't want to be a thief anyway, its not your thing" he said kissing her "And I'm not sure what I'd want to see" he said.
Mari frowned seeing Sophia bounce up and down "I guess....still she's Seph's problem today and sure we can get some jam in kunec and make you some jam tarts after the tournament" she giggled.
Barbaros chuckled "I'm betting most gamblers don't do chocobo analysis you know" he said to Alpha.

Seph chuckeled picking up Sophia and placed her on Itaka's lap so she could put her legs up "Maybe I don't want to be a thief but I could always give you my assistence. For example I doubt any motion detectors will give us any problem if I just cast stop on the whole room or if we messed up we could be out of their within milliseconds of the alarms going off" she pointed out.
Alpha shook his head sitting back down on the ground once he was sure Zadina was doing an alright job "Trust me if they are serious about betting on races and winning big they will go down to the tracks and watch each one of them train on the course. Tells you a lot more about them than the odds and profile details could"
Hebal laughed bouncing up and down slightly on the cushion "Is Seph going to be looking after Ivy today too? I could always try making soe jam tarts for you to eat after a battle or training. I'm not going to have much else to do, theres not much time for me to learn someone elses sword skills using my blue magic"

Felina grinned putting a small blanket around Cid to keep him warm "Don't worry if one of use were to fall I would be able to float you back up again but don't you feel lucky to be able to see stuff this high up. When I was a little girl going into the sky was every elfs dream and the only way to be able to see this high up would be to become a summoner and find a dragon"
Satoshi shook her head at Gil closing her eyes "Nope I didn't learn to summon Leviathan by joining the summoners or visiting his underwater temple. I just made a soul pact with him but yeah so far I would give your work a score of 10 out of 10" she answered cheerfully adjusting herself slightly.
Hayate raised his eyebrow curiously at Jenna "Oh really, what was bothering you about the battle? The fact the entire city had been raised into the air? Or the fact they had the better technology? I would have more time to bond with them if I wasn't given so many errands but lots of training would be boring for me anyway"

Oassu smiled "I know still you'd be left behind and we may miss registration as we'd have to turn back and get you" he said "Still why was going to the sky so important for you?" he asked.
Gil nodded "I take it this Soul Pact has some serious consequences it sounds it, and its must be of value to leviathan if it means he doesn't require you to take his challenges" he said. "Will you be wanting a frontal massage as well?" he asked.
Jenna shook her head "It's not that, but its just.....I don't think Alex was fighting at full strength there, I saw some of the skirmishes he was involved in before I left the city, he could level building with a hand gesture" she frowned "Frankly I'm surprised it went as well as it did."
Itaka frowned seeing Sophia hop off his lap and run a few laps around Seph's feet "Guess she likes you but sure you could but I don't plan on being a thief again, I'm much more suited to the warrior lifestyle" he chuckled.
Barbaros nodded "Well you'd know I guess, I didn't think it was such a complex game to play, maybe I'll bet on the Grand Intercontinental this year, maybe a Bangaa raised chocobo, I hear those ones are ferocious on the track." he said
Mari smiled seeing Ivy dozing in Alpha's flower forest in his hair "I'm surprised he hasn't noticed yet still she's a big girl she can stay with us and sure theres plenty you can do" she said poking Hebal's shoulder "You could hit on a hot Gria get yourself a nice mate" she said winking at her.

Seph raised her eyebrow picking Sophia back up and placed her onto the couch next to her "Oh really? Are you sure you don't want to go back to being a thief? I mean it never stopped you from being a warrior before for however long you have been in the guild. Plus you would be wealthier" she questionned Itaka wishing she didn't have to babysit Sophia while she leaned forward to give him a kiss.
Alpha shrugged scatching his chin "Oh really? Which class do you intend on betting on? I wanna see the qualified chocobos before I pick. The bangaa chocobos may be fierce but for the last 2 years its been moogle jocky's that have taken top prize. That was in the class S final anyway"
Hebal shook her head rapidly at Mari pulling at one of her ears "Oh no no I couldn't go hitting on gria while all you guys are working. I want to be able to help you in anyway I can. If none of you want me making armor for you then I guess I'll at least make sure you get ok food and your clothes get washed and stuff like that. I could be a maid" she pondered trying to picture herself dressed as one.

Felina blushed continuing to look around the deck "Because the sky was like the one place that no mortal could go. The sky cities hadn't been discovered at the time we are talking about before you laugh. At this point in time it was like the place only the gods and godesses could get to and naturally we like to explore and stuff" she muttered feeling somewhat embarrassed trying to explain
Satoshi hesitated for a moment before giving Gil a nod and rolled over "Sure why not. The soul pact isn't as bad as it sounds really. Basically the story goes that one of my mums ancestors fished for leviathan when he was recovering from some injuries obtained in a battle against Quetzalcoatl. As a reward he agreed to offer his services to the family" she explained to him leaning back.
Hayate sighed slowly nodding his head "That is because Alex had different goals when he attacked Yithra "He wanted the same item Oassu and Felina wanted and it was only when he found out it wasnt there he was going to destroy it all" he muttered leaning in closer "To make him leave us in peace and put the city down I had to screw him over and give him a copy of Oassu and Felina's list" he whispered.

Oassu nodded understanding "Oh I get it, I forgot how old you were" he said kissing Felina "Must be because you look so young and sexy" he chuckled "But yeah still Gods and Goddesses don't spend time up here or we'd have found them by now" he said.
Gil blushed as Satoshi rolled over trying to focus on her story instead but risking a little kiss of her bellybutton first before starting on her tummy. "What do you mean fished for Leviathan? I wouldn't think Leviathan would want someone catching fish, doesn't he protect them or something?" he asked
Jenna frowned "Sure if you say so, but does this mean you knew what the list was all along then?" she asked him.
Itaka smiled "I could but I wasn't a great thief but we'll be very wealthy if my high quality chocobo's stay high quality." he said kissing her back frowning as Sophia jumped up on Seph's shoulder to join them wanting attention.
Barbaros shrugged "Maybe moogles are just the best riders of chocobo's I don't know how they'd do it with such short legs and stuff you know?" he chuckled picturing it.
Mari chuckled "hey don't worry about us this is your trip too you deserve some nice fun too, besides we'll be looked after enough by cool folks at the competition you know" she said playing with Hebal's ears.

Seph groaned looking around to find something to entertain Sophia with "Heya girl, if you sit still on the couch next to me I'll show you a couple of magic tricks" she offered tickling her tummy "They will have to be high quality to make much profit because of stuff like expenses but I hope you aren't planning on giving up thieving just for my sake. I don't mind you pinching stuff"
Alpha snickered "Yeah it is pretty funny seeing moogles ride chocobos, particulaly big ones. The moogle chocobo knights have saddles but some of them just attatch a seatbelt around the bird and bounce up and down constantly in the race. I dunno what it is but they apparently bond quickly"
Hebal frowned patting Mari's head "Yeah but I have already had fun and stuff being able to go visit Amane and stuff and I don't wanna feel like I am not pulling my weight on the next adventure. Plus the people at the competition looking after you may be really pushy or you might want someone to do something more personal and private for you"

Felina laughed ruffling Oassu's hair "Maybe I look so young because I am not that old really. Only a bit older than you physically... maybe half a human decade" she answered shivering slightly as the airship flew straight through. "I dunno I guess all the gods and godesses aren't in the sky but then all the really religous people just say they live beyond the sky and stars"
Satoshi chuckled letting out a small sigh "Heh, has anybody told you Gil that you still have a lot to learn about nature. On the one hand it's a whole habitats responsibility to look after the environment but at the same time they've got to survive. That includes Leviathan since he has to eat too so he eats what he needs and leaves what he can survive without. A little bit like how elves protect the forests but still hunt to provide meat on the table for the family" she lectured him.
Hayate nodded "Yep we got the list the morning before the battle but you Gil and Barbaros weren't present to know what the items were for. What you also didn't know because you missed out on is that the list is incomplete because Elorin was reluctant to give the whole thing out to just any old potential son in law. Therefore Alex's list also has stuff missing" he explained quietly.

Oassu smiled "Well maybe they do, who is it we'll be blessed by when we get married?" he asked Felina putting an arm around Felina's waist "Wasn't it some nice water goddess?" he asked.
Gil nodded tenderly moving further up Satoshi's body "Uhuh...so you've got your power over Leviathan due to a family trait?" he asked "Does that mean all your family can do it? Sounds like a pretty neat advantage....to have over the competition" he gulped as his hands moved over Satoshi's body.
Jenna raised an eyebrow "Does....that mean that your dad has screwed over those two by giving them a wrong list?" she asked him "Your Dad is pretty devious....." she sighed.
Itaka's eyes widened nervously as Sophia formed a magic ball of death and torment between her hands at the sound of the word "Magic" she tilted her head and looked at Seph as if she was doing something right before offering the ball to her. "Ummm no I could keep stealing if you wanted but it was never really much interesting to me, it was just a good way to lie low over the years..." he said edging slightly away from Sophia.
Barbaros chuckled picturing it "You'll need to take me sometime and maybe we'll get lucky with a good bet" he said "Still maybe we'll ask one sometime and find out" he said.
Mari frowned seeing Sophia "No bad Sophia! Mother isn't happy!" she scolded the tonberry causing the magic ball to fizzle worthlessly in the air "Well you don't need to worry, you can get some fun you know its a nice fun place and I bet you've never been to a skycity so you should enjoy yourself a bit without me" she chuckled "Besides I wouldn't wanna interrupt you and your special lady" she giggled.

Seph froze for a moment before letting out a loud sigh of relief "Man that was a close one, maybe I should avoid using that word from now on. But you don't exactly have to steal. My advice would be to do whatever makes you happy. Anyway one moment" she told Itaka before turning back to Sophia. "No no a trick is something completely different, observe" she told the tonberry showing her a box then stuffed a used glass inside of it then gave the box a good shake before opening it again and pulling out a rattle "There ya go, you've got a new toy to play with"
Hebal frowned watching Sophia try out her magic "Are you sure Seph can handle Sophia all by herself, I mean that was a close one. Why not make her a little list of thing she should and shouldn't do when looking after her. But actually I have been to a sky city before, all the different levels the buildings are on make it the perfect place for casual dragoon training.
Alpha scratched his shoulder then pulled out what was an overgrown scale "I could take you to one of the big events if we weren't travelling around so much. Kunec has a chocobo racing track but it only focuses on the C and B class races so doesn't deal with all the big famous events"

Felina put her own arm around Oassu once she could get Cid held securely in her other arm. "Oh you remembered? I'm glad you did and yeah it was the part serpent water godess Riessdan. It doesn't bother you at all if we are blessed by her does it? If you don't want the blessing I'll go without"
Satoshi smiled shuffling slightly forwards while she enjoyed the massage "Sorry, I didn't mean to bore you with a big long list of facts and explinations. But yeah everyone in my family can do it so long as we agree to make the pact, having an advantage is extemely important when it comes to ninja battles"
Hayate sighed shaking his head "It's not like that. It was actually the head of the white mages who wrote out the list, only she is a bit of a stroppy old bag and said Oassu and Felina should collect everything on the list and if they are still going strong a year or more later and they get all the items she'll add in whats missing and make the item for them"

Oassu nodded "Yea I'm fine with that, is there anything special we need to do, besides I wanna try and embrace your elvish culture a little, maybe it'll win me some points with your family." he said.
Gil nodded "Don't worry I did ask after all but thats pretty cool, you must be quite a famous family then I guess I see the need for all the codenames" he said applying a tiny bit of extra pressure.
Jenna raised an eyebrow "Ok...so it's kinda like a trial after all but tell me, whats the missing ingredient in the list I promise I won't tell" she chuckled.
Sophia looked at the rattle briefly before waddling forward and taking the box before placing the rattle in the box and looking up at Seph before reducing the box and rattle to a pile of cinders which she nudged towards Seph in a poor imitation of her trick. Itaka chuckled "Nice try but I don't steal as much as most thieves I just reap the rewards of it you know" he chuckled.
Mari frowned "Its not like she's far from me I can keep an eye on her and she does ok besides Sophia isn't really dangerous you know" she giggled "Shes my snuggly little baby but what one have you been to?" she asked.
Barbaros shrugged "Maybe I'll swing by and make a bet or something one tmie could be fun, specially if I win big" he chuckled.
