You made some excellent points there Yami. We DO have some rather s**t stuff to begin with. Did you know California, with all our dependence on technology, spends LESS money on education then ******** rural Georgia? I mean let's spend some money to get the tax down from 9.x% here. Or giving our teachers better pay. Giving America more jobs. Instead we are pouring millions of dollars into another country. Sure they have homeless people who need health care and food, but don't we already have plenty of those here in our own country? @.@

Uhm...Georgia has 6.7 billion allotted to its dept of education, and Cali has nearly 50 billion. Not sure where you're getting your numbers from...

im afraid i have to agree with yami and rei, im always for helping other countries, but not at the expense of our own.....

and im totally willing to do art for a winner in the comming contest......but only one peice (( and only after i buy my new computer and printer/scanner within the next month ))

Which is ironic considering not too long ago the President was talking about how we would be sending all these troops home. Yet he's added in a lot more.

Well that was years ago, and I might have the state wrong.

Well I was thinking:

Katrina took several days for people to help them out. We also didn't get NEARLY as many celebrities involved, nor did Gaia shout out for donations to help them either....and even today I mean when was the last time you saw so many people trying to help out our own country, the way we are helping Haiti now?

I mean yes they need help, but it seems like we're trying to give more then just help...we're trying to rebuild their country better and newer then before. That's money that could be spent helping us at home. That's all I'm saying.

What kills me is we have more homeless people in the US then ever, which also says we have more peopleless homes. The US Government needs to take some of these homes from the greedy banks and give them to people.

Why would a bank want a house to sit and rot because they want too much for it (buy or rent), and/or won't rent at all.

It takes very little time for a house to get damage without people, Especially in winter. Last year 5 houses around here that were foreclosed on had their Pipes explode because no heat was going to them.

It also ticks me off when people are kicked out over public domain stuff.
