Punisher Teaching Journal
November 19 cont'd
The Club has failed. My disappointment in each of them burns like a serrated knife to the corroded artery. They've lost the perp.
Wayne is already on my a** about letting the Club patrol. He doesn't know what it's like to be a real Vigilante. To be married to the work, with an AK-47 as your mistress. He's soft.
I've sent the team to the dorms. They'll be going door to door, seeing who's still on campus. I suspect our perp is still right here.

Billy lays there like it as the perfectly normal thing to do, and propped one elbow on Teddy's chest with his chin rested in the cup of his hand.
"Mm hm. Mom is picking me up in the morn after I finish my final exam with Mister Hellstrom. That's actually what I was practicing for. If he's this bad I shudder to think what taking Miss Harkness's classes will be like in two years! Say..."
**frowns**
"How come you're not studying mister?"

Jean-Paul Valley was the first onto the second floor of the Boy's Dorm. He knocked with authority on Billy's door.
"Kaplan! Open up!"

Wallace P Wells Things that went through Wallace's brain: - Hartley is well built. - Despite all my childhood years of playing nurse, I am not one. - He's still bleeding. - This is a school of crazy people. - He needs to be healed, but probably can't go to the nurse. - Can't I play nurse? - No. - Oh God don't die. - s**t. - Man he has nice arms. "I'm going to go get Billy." Wallace darted out the doorway to find ... oh man, Billy was about to get some, and he'd have to interrupt. "Hey, sorry Billy, but I need your help. Hartley was out, and there was some sort of drive by shooting in town. He needs to be healed ASAP. And you can't tell anyone. Gang warfare is dangerous, and if it gets around that someone survived a gang attack, he might become their target." ((Billy.))

Billy looked up at Wallace and frowned at the intrusion, but he practically fell over at the news presented.
"Holy s**t! Hartley was shot!?"
Billy followed Wallace in a run to Hartley's room and Billy skidded to a halt in the door frame.
"Oh my god, why isn't he at the nurse's station!?"

Seeing scuffling down at the end of the hallway, Jean-Paul abandoned Billy's door and moved forward.

"Shhhh!" Wallace said, pushing Billy into the room and quickly shutting the door behind him. Someone was looking for people in the hallway, and he could only assume they were looking for whoever had been shot. "He's probably not in. Out with Teddy or something."

Something weird was going on. Teddy slowly got up into a seated position as Billy was ushered into Hartley's room. Given Wallace's reaction, it had to do with Hartley. Immediately, he shapeshifted so that he looked like his boyfriend - only in different clothes. "Oh my God I am so sorry!" he said, running towards his dorm room. "My attack doves got loose. I was doing a spell, and FWOOSH! ATTACK DOVES!" He tried the door, but to no avail. "Oh crap. I locked myself out. Figures. Uh..what can I help you with?"

"Poor Hartley!"
Billy stepped up to the bedside and looked down at the wound and flinched. He reached around and touched Hartley's back, feeling for an exit wound.
"Sorry man, I don't know which is worse. Being shot or being the guinea pig for my first healing spell on the field."
He looked up at Wallace.
"There's no exit wound. The bullet is still inside of him. I need to get it out of him before I can patch him up. Hold his hand...

Jean-Paul looked "Billy" over. He was well aware of Billy's spaz status.
"The Vigilante Club is doing maneuvers. We're searching for a perp that we targetted earlier tonight. We believe they may have fled to the dorms. Have you seen anything out of the ordinary?"
Jean-Paul paused, looking at Billy with a disdainful look.
"Besides 'attack doves?'"

Wallace saw that fortunately, Teddy seemed to have things under control, and he wouldn't have to use his make out powers. He snuck back into his room and took a seat beside Hartley.
Oh great. First healing spell on the field. Wonderful. What if Hartley would up with tentacles? Or four nipples? Oh well. It wasn't the time to question anything. He took Hartley's hand and held on tight.

Hartley squeezed Wallace's hand and his eyes fluttered shut.
"Tired..."
He murmured, his head flopping against Wallace's chest.

"No. Not really. I heard Wallace and Hartley knockin' boots. They've been in there all night." "Billy" rolled his eyes, "I did hear something going on at the girls dorms though. My window's open, and there was a lot of squealing....can you help me back in my room?"

Billy looked at Wallace seriousy.
"This...is going to hurt. I'm sorry, being a class one mage so far, there isn't any other way around it."
He held his hand over the bullet wound and his eyes started crackling energy and several painful seconds later, the bullet was yanked out of Hartley's body!

"Girl's dorm. Got it."
Jean-Paul shot a foot to the side and kicked Billy's door. It flew open.
"Thanks for the assist. Have a nice evening."
Jean-Paul turned around and marched down the stairs.
