I have a very close friend who was just hacked, and in order to get back into her account she had to hack herself. She is missing several hundred k in items, but isn't sure whether to file a hacking report because of how it might look to anyone reviewing the report.
So, just for her sake, what would that look like? She is the one who created the account, I was personally with her in real life when she made it. Shut up, I am Lady Gaga.

My thought exactly. @_@ {♫}{♪}{♫}Literally, she had to hack herself. I don't know how, I just know that she's back in her account but with items missing. She had some help from a close friend who lives with her, but I'm not entirely sure how they got back in. I'll ask her, because I don't want her to lose her account like I lost mine.
EDIT: I'm pretty sure that both her email and password were different when she got back into her account.Shut up, I am Lady Gaga.

They look at IP, if they match up before and after the change in email and password, she should be fine. They usually don't inquire how you got into the account again.
