Could they really do that? For the first time, the old ghost smiled. "I'd appreciate that," he said. It'd be nice, to have his name again.

"Good, good. So this house is yours, yes?" Even though it wasn't. Timeline questions were probably out. "Do you remember the last time someone else came in? Aside from my colleagues."

"Yes," the ghost said, looking to Michael. "I had it built for my wife, and she loved it. Loved it. Our children too. But they stopped visiting..." He looked confused for a moment. Why had they stopped?
"No one comes in. I don't allow it." A definite no, then.

"Alright." The last encounter he'd had with a living human was out of the question too.

"No," The ghost did look to study Michael, though. "Do you have more questions, or do you want to visit your friends now?"

"For the moment, our concern is to find your name." Then they would be able to know more about how he'd died. They'd have to confront him with it relatively soon, because they could only make progress after that.
"I'll go give them the assignment and update them, if that's alright with you. If you have any questions for us, feel free to ask. The taller one is Tobias, and the other is Dari. I'm Michael." He offered his hand to shake.

"Thank you," the ghost said, looking grateful. Ah! To have his identity back. What a blessing this guy was. "Alright," he agreed. "I'll ask you." Specifically. He didn't like Tobias or Dari--the latter seemed quieter, though. Maybe he'd be easiest to talk to?
He shook Michael's hand. "Pleasure to meet you, Michael."

With that being done, Michael left.
It was later in the day when he arrived again. This time he knocked, but was invisible to everyone else outside.

The ghost answered the door, prepared to frighten whoever that upstart Agnes had sent this time. But it was Michael. He smiled slightly and stepped aside to allow him entrance. "I wondered when you'd come back," he said.

"Well, we believe we've found your name," Michael said with a smile. "Do you mind if I come in?"

"Come in," The ghost turned to lead Michael inside and to the couch. He sat, looking up at Michael. "Sit with me," he invited.

Michael smiled and nodded again. "Thank you."
He sat beside the other ghost.
"Does the name Oscar Marz sounds familiar to you?" Michael's brow was slightly furrowed. They knew it was the ghost's name, because his obituary had a photograph. To phrase it as a question gave him permission to not remember, though. On the other hand, a simple name might bring more memories back.

Oscar? ...yes, that sounded familiar, but he still couldn't place it. The ghost mused over this for a moment before looking to Michael. "Is that my name?" He asked.

"Yes, that's your name." So much for remembering the past! Perhaps it was too painful.
