Anyone else think the Diedrich item thing is a bit of bad business?
I've been watching the threads they made to give out that item Risky Angel, and it seems that the person behind it just wants to watch the community squirm.
Just my opinion, but I think its wrong. They should be bringing the community together, not trying to have them bicker and cut into each other.
It feels like a lot of eliteist BS to me.

From what I was able to gather: Diedrich (or whoever was controlling the NPC) started gifting an item called Risky Angel to certain people wearing Stocking and Panties (As the premise is that the "Risky Angels" have weapons based on those items) This was done selectively, and without the knowledge of the community base. The first person who got one made a thread in the GCD about the item. After that, a few people were gifted it in the thread. The thread got derailed, as everyone was vying for the attention of the NPC to get the item. The thread then got sent shortly after to the chatterbox. Then, Diedrich made a thread in the GCD himself. Requesting Art from users for him. He mentioned that he would only chose certain pieces of art. This makes it impossible for a mass of people to be able to get the item. The community should be notifed when things like this go on. Its for the benefit of everyone, and not just a selective few that notice it only in the GCD. That is what I think is wrong about it. Its very selective, and impossible for most to get, therefore, Elitist in my eyes. Take the red minidevil wings, for example. Its similar, but EVERYONE has a chance to get it, just for logging on. It isn't "OH, U HAS ART I LIEK. HAS AN ITEM!"

It really sounds like something else is going on hummm. The item does not even look that good. It looks not that well made why should you give good art for some thing that is not well made just because of the rarity of the item. Yes I am pathetic I do not care for the rarity of the item just how well made it is

I don't really care how rare the item is, if the art is good, I'll pretty much automatically want it. If the art doesn't fit what I like, or if it's something I just can't see myself using, I won't get it or even want it. Shut up, I am Lady Gaga.

 An item only for select people, that isn't based on a randomized basis? Yeah, mega unfair and bothersome. =/ Regardless if it's a good item or not, that's still kind of... I don't know.

Eee-dit: So I'm currently going for an old-school avatar when I realized that back when this style was popular, I couldn't afford it! It's amazing how much prices for certain items have plummeted since then.
And I started posting in this thread when I was only a few months Gaia-old. Gosh!
