Jenannen Peter: Doin' pretty well. Keepin' Mama busy for sure though! Kay's lovin' first grade. I feel bad that I'm not sure what else to say, but I don't see her for so much of the day now. El's in speech school and just in the two weeks I've noticed improvement. She's getting more syllables in her words and she's now making the "S" sound-infact tonight I even got her to put it on the end of bear, so we got "bearssss" ^^ Best thing is that now she's working with Hubby and me instead of fighting our efforts to help her. And Essy... Whoa, she's a high-speed bundle of get-into-everything-I-can-see. It's driving me nuts that I can't keep her out of the garbage. stressed On the upside she loves to help clean up almost as much as she loves making messes.
Hehe, Speech classes... I remember those. I swear I had the Japanese letter issues when I was growing up. L = R, V = B, S = impossible. And a stutter as well. I still can't say the word Specific properly. It comes out as pacific.

0mega_Virus Sounds like they are growin up pretty fast. I wish you luck with the garbage issue. We have a similar one with the ferrets X_x They love to explore and get into everything, no doubt. @ speech: So its mostly a slurring, or is it more of a pronounciation issue? I know a few people who had exercises for stuttering problems, but that may not be what you have in mind. They sure are.
Thanks. I've had to completely take the garbage out of the front room and it drives me nuts every time I want to throw something away.
Umm, Kay's also doing speech at her school, and she's behind on the sounds that she should be making. So she's like "Speech Delayed" I think is what they called it. I know the "g" and "k/hard c" sounds are ones that they are working on with her.
El's nearly unintelliagble. Even Hubby and I have a hard time understanding her and parents usually pick up on their children's "dialect." She's not slurring or stuttering she's... Like Mommy=Mahi, Elephant is something like Eh-an, we get a lot of vowel sounds not many consanants, and not enough syllables, though like I said since she started speech school that's already seen a great improvement! ...oh, and my mother-in-law was quite amused that apple juice is "ah-hole" juice.
*offers Alex some chicken noodle soup*
Cardi, Ah, that's no fun.
Vin, Both of my sisters had speech. (They had a lot of ear infections growing up though). Neither Hubby nor I had speech... and my girls haven't had ear infections so I'm not sure what's going on with them, but they are getting help and that I am excited about!

(unless you count my ear piercings and allergy to things not gold, but that happened after the fact) But I still had the speech therapy in elementary school. *shrug* I dunno what caused mine either.

Vin: I never got my ears pierced due to metal allergies. Mom told us that she would not take us to pierce our ears and if we still wanted pierced ears when we were 18 then we could go do it. In... I think it was 8th grade I developed a cyst on my lip due to being allergic to my flute. So by that time I was glad that I didn't have pierced ears.

I'm still trying to figure out what, if anything, I'm allergic to.
