Well... HE doesn't make people go insane. He just eats them. Y'rleh makes people go inside. Cthulhu really just makes them go cultish X3

No, Cthulhu makes them go insane too - confirmed in all sources it is in, from the original story to the PnP RPG. 1D100 insanity points and 1d3 investigators per round, hurhur.
Ya don't ******** with the Big C.

Someone should GM a cthulhu campaign. I'd be happy. And then I'd join.

Isn't there a better page to talk about cthulhu?
I mean, I'm no cthulhu expert, but 6-66 seems like it's not quite cthulhu-related.

opaj Isn't there a better page to talk about cthulhu? I mean, I'm no cthulhu expert, but 6-66 seems like it's not quite cthulhu-related. This. ******** thiiiiis. As much as I love demonology/occult themes and the like, they have nothing to do with the Cthulhu Mythos. There is no hell in that universe, as the universe itself is pretty much hell - not in the traditional sense, but with all the cosmic horrors that lurk within the angles and unknown folds of reality, it might even be worse. Cthulhu/other Great Old Ones and especially the Outer Gods also work on faaaaaaaaar larger scale than any other fictional demons/devils/etc.. Azathoth makes almost any incarnation of Lucifer look like a field mouse in comparison. As for rp, I like including Lovecraftian elements in my rp plots, but I usually keep it personal or with select people. Why? Because so few ******** people know how to rp with things like that. They don't understand that yes, despite your character being some demon or angel or some other supernatural entity, you rp them with a human's mindset/psyche - therefore, you are as easily subject to the mind-tearing insanity that Lovecraftian entities represent and bring about. But no, these faggerts are not only completely unafraid of such things, they get the bright idea of "I'M GONNA KICK THAT THING'S a** AND BE THE HERO/BIGGER BAD GUY". Makes me rage sooooooooooo damn much. I blame ******** animu for that kind of nonsense. >:{

As you should, Cog. As your should. What if their character is already batshit bonkers who already cannot perceive reality as others do thusly making him insane. How DOES one play a character like that in the Cthulhu world cause I've never seen it done before...?

See: The Mad Arab Abdul Al-Hazred//Necronomicon. Cthulu is, essentially, based off of the Ancient Ones.
I really enjoy Lovecrafts sense of Horror and how it comes from a more neutral source, instead of always taking from the Christian belief. S'why I also dig Clive Barker and his tales of the perverted and bizarre.

I would RAAAAAEG, Opaj, but then I read your signature.
That counterbalanced it rather nicely, if I do say so myself.

Really? That's a shame. Your RAAAAAEG only makes me stronger.
By the way, Cthulhu really is easy. You see, he makes three charge attacks, and all you have to do is jump over them. After that, he'll open his mouth to do a screaming attack, and at that point you throw a rock right in there. Wash, rinse, repeat four times, and he'll start blinking red. At this point, his charge attacks are twice as fast, but throw one more rock in his mouth and he'll explode.
I really don't see what the big deal is.
