Malee As someone who is traveling to Japan alone (and who has flown within Japan alone), I can assure you it is easy! All international airports in Japan have people that speak English, with English on their signs, it is hard to get lost.
What airport are you flying into? If Kansai, I can totally walk you through that airport from memory, Narita not so much... And when are you going? I'll be there end of October. biggrin
My experience with flying, airports have been easy experience. The majority of the time I have a solo traveler and I find that the nice things about airports, no matter where you are, if you look lost, an airport employee is bound to step up and help you. I'm flying into Narita a week from today. My class is all supposed to be arriving at around the same time and meeting at a specific place, so there's also that.
I'm just nervous because I've never travelled alone before. That's all, really.

Traveling alone is many times easier than traveling in a group. Have fun on your trip. Just bring things to do on the plane and bring snacks and once you get though security get a big water bottle so you do not get dehydrated.

better yet, bring an EMPTY water bottle that you can refill after you go through security xd everything is just sooo expensive now.
and some airlines charge for sodas and waters while in flight.. make sure to have cash and a credit card.... i was on one flight that took NO cash, only card.

You will do fine! Traveling alone, once you get going, is pretty easy.

And then it's not as if you're traveling into a one-strip airport in "Beyond Freaking Egypt", as they say. (Or, well...they say a more profane version, but we do not potty-mouth. XD)
You're going to a humongous international airport in Japan. You'd have to try really hard for something to go terribly wrong. *hee*

cardi Sure thing, Sunny! Here's the site I use: http://www.paperbackswap.com/index.phpI'd love to have an extra room that I can turn into a library. Right now there are no more places in my teeny living room or bedroom that I can put bookcases in, so I'll probably have to set up bookcases in my teeny dining room. And for some reason, that bums me out. Bookcases are supposed to go into the living room or bedroom. I need a bigger apartment. >.< The new Kindle that came out looks pretty sexy. surprised Same here. When I move the first things I'm going to buy are bookshelves. I only have one small one that holds most of my regular books but I do have some books in storage that are a pain to get to whenever I have the fancy to read one. But I think I too will try this website...even though I dont really have room sweatdrop

I was using the royal we, Alex, inclusive only of myself. XD I don't mind if you haul off and drop language bombs. I'm not your real mother, nor do I want to use my authority as guild co-founder to put up some nit-picky little rule about what you can and can't say on the internet. *laugh*
