Meta_Fish yay for appearances. The Ice Climber one is awesome. Lucas' is also freaking cool. XD I believe Wayne (?) was right about Snake's. Sexy. Yep, that was me. cool I want to see more characters talk in this one. It doesn't have to be Mario and Link, but people that actually talked in their games, like Ganondorf and Zelda. Really, I can see why they won't talk, too, but why would Fox McCloud or Wario ever be mute?

Dedede himself is'nt really quite. i just dont see how so many actions can go without voices. <_<; Atleast Cap'n Falcon will talk. cool

I've never liked talking (English, at least) in fighting games. When talking was mentioned, I instantly thought about Soul Calibur. All their fighting is constantly punctuated by the most stupid sounding catchphrases and battle cries:
"Try dodging... this!" "Take that!!!" "Sorry!" "You're not getting away!!"
There was always something a little off about it for me. Obviously, IRL, you don't always have time to ask people "are you okay?" in the middle of fights. It just feels awkward to me to have VG characters having an entire discussion while they're punching the living daylights out of each other. Stuff like "FALCON PUNCH!" or whatever is fine, because... well, I don't know. As long as you're not actually talking TO your opponent, it's more like a glorified grunt than anything else.
I don't mind so much in Japanese, because: a) the phrases they use are really common in anime and stuff. I guess... but it's probably because: b) I don't understand the language so even if they do sound like a doofus, it's not as if I can tell or anything.
I'd also like to mention that the ONLY sort of battle cry I liked in SC was Sophitia's "Repent!!" just as she gives you a bellyful of pointy metal object.

THIS UPDATE ENRAGES ME!!! :SCREAM:
But seriously, what the hell? We already knew this since before E for All. In fact, the only one we didn't know is Lucas.
This does help me though. He doesn't blow up, leaving room for Ness to return...and blow up.

Im a big SC fan, so i have the one for the GC, with link and SC3 for my brothers PS2. both are really fun. -- And yes when you grab with Mitsurugi in the 2'nd one he pushes you down and cuts your throught saying "Canoe"! i dont know if it was a failed attempt at a battle cry, but it was pretty bad. >_>;;;;

Canoe? That's awesome. XD I have SCII for the PS2, and I occasionally play SCIII in the arcade. I didn't buy it because I didn't have time for console games.

Ziggy161 I think this is awesome! mrgreen I dunno why they got rid of the entrances in Melee in the first place. They were supposed to be coming alive from their dormant "trophy" state. Cool I guess, but not as cool as exploding onto the battlefield. xd

Warp star still is the best one though... Exploding onto the battlefield is 2nd place... coming on an ironing board is 3rd xd

To tell you guys the truth, I didn't actually notice that Melee took out the entrances until I had played 100 hours of it or so.
"Oh hey, there aren't entrances anymore." "Oh, yeah. Right." *continues playing*
