Grr, I slept in today and i needed to get up early to do laundry so the outfit i wanted to wear to tonights photo show and bday party would be clean, but now my clothes are still in the dryer, and wont be done til the photo show starts, so i will literally be "fashionably" late.

@Peter: Unfortunately, people who are active at night typically have to put up with people who are noisy during the day. People are expected to be active during the day and sleeping at night. I wish this isn't so. I'm a night person myself, so when apartment maintenance people come over and start revving up their leafblowers and other obnoxious stuff in the middle of the day while I'm sleeping, I just wanted to scream.

Fortunately, the place where I live right now is very quiet. At least, the noises that my neighbors make don't bother me too much.

Jen: o_O; Oh no! Are we talking contractor-repair or just lots of elbow grease, so far as the rain and mud damage goes?

Peter: I've lived under a roof containing a family of raccoons. D: Talk about insensitive noise-makers! The babies were so cute, though, that we didn't want to disturb the family by having them trapped and relocated. Sometimes we'd stick our heads outside the bedroom window and they'd be peering down at us from a few feet above. XD

Gentleman farmers up at 8am or earlier, revving an engine non stop. I'm still waiting for it to explode... stare And let's not forget them honking one morning before their pig sale... I'm glad I'd stayed up so late that day.

JenJen~~ You should video down the opening of the box... XD xd
Don't have a video camera.

Peter: Yeah it can be hard keeping different hours. I remember in our 2nd appartment Hubby worked nights (got off at 2am). There were a few parties upstairs, but usually during our awake hours, so it wasn't too bad. The time that really got me was in our apartment just before this (the basement apartment) and the parents were out of town/at work and the kid who was graduated stayed home and played rock band ALL day... A couple hours at a time I might have even been able to handle, but it was non-stop and it gave me the worst headache to hear the drum all day long in the room right above our living room.

Really though, if there is a problem they do need to be up front about it.

Meri: It's something with our windowell. We've dug the well out pretty deep, but when Hubby got up yesterday the water was, he said, at least 4 inches above the widow still. We need to figure out how/why that well keeps backing up. The other one doesn't.

So I don't know if we're looking at some serious work to be done to get it to stop leaking or what. Clean up was pretty much just elbow grease... and tossing some stuff... we still haven't properly unpacked the stuff in the basement.

When Hubby was digging out the well though (the window was already cracked, but that's not where the water was coming in from) he touched the window and it broke. So we do need to get that replaced.

...anyway headed out to Mom's today and the show that Hubby was watching with the girls is over now so I'm headed off. Hope everyone has a nice day.

*eep* I'm glad your Hubby didn't get hurt when the window broken. Hopefully the repairs and clean-up can be a simple DIY.

Kay is so sparkly! ^^
