Not sure if you've been busy or if you waiting on Kira to post, but I don't think Kira really has much to do until we go through the portal.

If I might make a suggestion then...
Try looking up an anime called AnoHana.

I kinda sorta maybe cried for a good two hours after the series ended.....

Added to queue. I'll watch that once I finish up with The Irregular at Magic High School.

The synopsis for it looks pretty interesting.
I'm just in the middle of watching Sketchbook Full Colour, Free Eternal Summer and Glasslip.
Free and Glasslip are only halfway through their seasons so once I've finished Sketchbook, I'll give it a go.

I had a friend recently recommend Working!! to me, but I can't get into it like I did with Ouran High School Host Club

Most slice of life anime don't appeal to me. Ouran High School Host Club was really good, read the manga when I was in high school. Right now I'm watching Sword Art Online (SAO 2 actually), Akame Ga Kill, and Bladedance of Elementalers. All of which are Simulcast same day as they air in Japan.

I sorta wish there was a follow on to Ouran because the whole show amused me greatly.

I tend to watch whatever I think has an interesting enough sounding synopsis and can keep my attention beyond 3 episodes.
I seem to be watching a lot from the slice of life genre at the moment now that I think about it...

My all time favourite anime though is Martian Successor Nadesico. It parodies a lot of those science-fiction, giant robot space animes. It's also one of the few animes that I will watch in English and not subbed, because for some reason it's just funnier in English.

If only we were lucky enough to get a sequel or continuation of Ouran.

I tend to agree with you on the synopsis and holding my attention. Although at times I have a hard time starting up a new series for some reason or another.

Does Nadesico have combining ships in outer space? If it does I may have seen it and will be looking forward to watching it again. If not I'll probably end up watching it anyway as it reminds me a lot of one of my favorite animes Vandread. I also need to go back and watch Outlaw Star.

No not really.... But at the same time kinda?
There is one part where they adapt part of a new ship being designed that was almost destroyed in an attack by the enemy to FIT the ship on which the anime takes place though....

If it's likely to make it anymore appealing to you, they've got an anime inside the show that almost everyone becomes a fan of, called Gekiganger III and to just make it a bit of a mind trip, the people in Gekiganger III watch the anime of Martin Successor Nadesico.
So.... Uh.... I hear you like anime so I put anime in your anime that watches your anime?

My ONLY gripe with Nadesico is that it was left in a semi-unfinished state.
If I remember correctly, the writer had a falling out with the production company and while the ending of the series does give it some sort of closure, it hints at a second season that never comes. They also did a movie called Martian Successor Nadesico: Prince of Darkness which is set into the future and is obviously supposed to be the product of whatever happens in the non-existent second season.

In terms of giant robot animes; I've tried and couldn't really get into Gundam, and I've done the obligatory watching of Evangelion. I've also watched another one called Gasaraki... Which for 13 year old me, was a bit... well, yikes! I should actually give it another go, because I'll probably understand it and not be as creeped out by it 11 years on.
Other than that, the only other space anime I've watched is Galaxy Angel

I shall have to try and check your ones out though.

There was so much promise for a sequel / continuation of Ouran though!
I mean, I would have gotten a serious giggle out of watching Kyoya and Tamaki's dad's fighting over which one of them should be dating Haruhi.
That and with the likes of Mori and Hunni graduating before the others, it would have been interesting to see how the club replaced them.

It's already appealing enough, since the main part of it being a ship full of women with a few men makes it so close to Vandread that I want to watch it.

So long as it has that sense of closure at the end of it I think I'll be happy with it.

Gundam Wing was the only Gundam I ever really enjoyed. (What can I say I grew up with those 90's animes. Gundam Wing, Outlaw Star, Trigun, DBZ, and so on.)

Aside from Outlaw Star and Vandread the other four havn't even made it out of Japan yet. So they have new episodes weekly.

While I would have enjoyed the sequel/continuation I like where it left off.

Dang, I'm not watching as much Anime as I used to. I'm only keeping up with Hunter x Hunter right now. That's one of the handful of shows that made me tear up.

Gurren Lagann had me bawing. Now and Then Here and There left sobbing. Clannad got me crying too.

Although I rekindled some old favorites a while ago. Read or Die, Escaflowne, and Cromartie High School.
