Truthfully I don't know, but I believe it is due to a combination of different factors. My body was under an unnatural strain for many years and this was because of that queen whom I use to serve if you remember me telling you once. It won't surprise me if she is one of the causes for my current state, but it doesn't matter. This could also be viewed as my punishment.

Most likely nothing. Her being alive or not has no effect on my current situation, but her actions did.

There is a good reason why I always preferred it if you always chose of your own free will to be in my service. Free will is very important to me as it is a new concept to me and one that I find...fascinating.

Because I lack the strength to and you'd be a dead fool if you think you can face her alone. I shouldn't even call her a queen, a false title, she's really nothing, but a witch. She enjoys playing the role though.
*a small smile*
It isn't my place to put an end to her for all the suffering she has caused both the good and bad people alike. But there is someone who she does fear most who can and will take her down...it just isn't time yet.
*Sits on one of the bar tables and looks Crimson in the eyes*
Crimson, I've never had free will a day in my life until some years ago. The idea of having control of my own life amazes me daily. I think I told you before, I was a soldier for her, but it wasn't by choice. I had no thoughts, no feelings, only thing I understood was to obey; her word was law. I had no second thoughts fulfilling her wishes.

Of course, I do. How else are you and I talking like this? mrgreen It is over and done with now so it doesn't matter. Some good did come out of that ordeal such as a permanent resistance to mind control. There is no spell, curse or anything that can ever take away my free will again. So...
Have any other questions and if not we can talk of more fun things.

Arantir appears in front of Katja and Crimson with the speed of a flash, and then, not noticing that they were speaking, begins speaking to crimson, while slipping out something red from under her sleeve: Oh first serpent, I give you this gift not for you to forget, but for you to know that you are alive, this flower smells of both happiness and sadness, life and death... Arantir takes out a bright red poppy, and hands it to Crimson: This flower will never die, it will never fall apart...When you forget about having it, you will forget the battle that we had, and you will forget that I existed. Arantir bows her head a little, as a small tear drops down her face: I will go away for a few days, and then will come back, and show you, First serpent, what it is that I cherish and grieve the most. Arantir then looks as if she is about to have a nervous breakdown, but then her facial expression become calm, and she begins to listen to something that no one other can hear.

He speaks to Katja before Arantir appears. "No further questions your honor" He grins and then sees Arantir appear and takes the red poppy with a surprised look. "Thanks. I shall place it in my room, shouldn't be forgotten there. Why do you have to go away? What is it exactly that you'll look for?."

Arantir looks down, and then into Crimson's eyes: I heard whispers in the wind, and the hour of my final test might draw near soon... Arantir's hand begins to shake, but she grabs it with the other, and calms down instantly:But I am going away not on a killing spree, but to a place which will fill me with spiritual power. I will be filled with craze, and my true form will be revealed, and my hands will glow with living death once more. But I must go to prepare myself for what awaits. Arantir looks down, and then up, her expression saying "what should I do?", then she moved her head sideways as if listening to something, then she begins to speak: I will pray on my father's soul that he will return safely, and I will summon my dragon to protect you, the dragon's presence will be the symbol of the fact that I tie my spirit to here. I will simply show Crimson a sea of poppies and a blue sky, then I will return him back to you, safe and sound. Arantir then makes a very slight nod, hardly noticeable, and looks at her left palm.
