What is this mass hacking thing going on?

Ok... so I am seeing alot of "whys" and "what happens", so here is the thread for you if you have no idea what is going on.
THIS IS NOT AN ATTACK ON GAIA. IT WAS ONLY FOCUSED ON USERS WHO USE SUBETA AS WELL AND USED THE SAME USERNAME/PASSWORD COMBO.
Apparently Subeta ripped off a mascot calle Longcat from I believe 4Chan. Now they say they asked for them to not have it on their site and they refused. So 420Chan, being the bastards they are, hacked into Subeta and recieved the usernames and passwords for the members... Seems that Subeta's owner gave them the info to leave his site alone. Now they hacked all the people who used the same username for Gaia that used that same password and they sold off all their stuff and whatnot...
It seems there is many debates on the information posted here. It seems many accounts are posting false information to make the owner of Subeta look bad. Please becareful what information you hear. Also please note that all information here may not be accurate at this time. Thank you.
And this evening they began posting disturbing images as a counterstrike on Subeta... [This info comes from some guy posting the images on Gaia. The offensive images were only for those with Subeta accounts]

The owner of Subetra SOLD the usernames and passwords, than gave an automatic reset of the passwords. Though, the owner hadn't realized they were also Gaia usernames and passwords. The .rar file is the list of usernames.

I have also been informed they have attacked Neopets accounts and Myspace accounts... though I am not too sure about the info.
