Malee: Compared to what they used to do, yeah. But as someone who has a disability on the Autistic spectrum, and who grew up in a community where none of that happened and was naive enough to not realize that the world is cruel until her uncle died last year, I find this absolutely unacceptable no matter what. Abuse should not be happening at all, let alone in schools. And even if it does happen in schools, the staff should at least be held accountable for their actions. The Sadistic Author Maybe I might love you, maybe I might love you, so hold on tight and hold me close

I'm not saying that it is acceptable, I am simply stating that I am not surprised nor mortified to see that it still happens. My friend spent a great deal of time working with severely Autistic kids, I've worked with special needs kids as well, so I am well aware of what it takes to work with special needs kids.
I am not ignorant to the level of mistreatment in underfunded classrooms with teachers not trained to deal with Autistic kids or lacking the resources/manpower to control these kids. It is unacceptable, but the staff should not be the ones held solely accountable unless you know the entire situation.

While the treatment of children in this fashion is unacceptable, you can't honestly expect an underfunded public school to be able to train their teachers when they can't even afford textbooks and supplies for their regular students. This is where parents should be involved. Educating the community, setting up training sessions if needed, and choosing the right school for the children. The responsibility doesn't lay with the teachers to make sure their children are taken care of, the parents do. After all, teachers are constrained to what they can and cannot do with children.

The umbrella is from the Biancamella. The eye makeup is actually a face that comes from the Adriana doll.
