Cracky has been alright. Just doing his summer classes thing, living it up, melting underneath the intense sun. And by living it up I mean: Sitting in my room all day because it's soooo hot.

That's when I lay a contingency spell on you leaving you perfectly conscious and unharmed, with the ability to fully reform yourself when you wish. As an exploded sun, you could see a lot more than anyone else. All at once.

Well that isn't very sun like. The sun is a mindless explosion with no senses!
So that'd be taking away some of the fun in it.
Besides, how could he see without eyes? Maybe sense, but not see. Unless he sees it in his consciousness via imagination hallucination.
Though I suppose... it is all for the best.
Him turning into the Sun right near us wouldn't be optimal.
