-x- Lupess -x- 0mega_Virus .....O_O Yeah, that's a problem. A couple of things cross my mind on this: 1) Where is your group on this? 2) When you were notified, was it documented? To be truefully honest (I'm in a different time zone...) It would be almost impossible without some kind of groundwork to program something like that in a day. Your group should have split up the requirements so that each of you only had a small part to do. Regardless, I wish you luck. I have no experience with that program, and my coding skills are extremely limited. ♪♫♪
My group is made up of two guys and myself, both of the guys are extremely good programmers and yet I was the one who got stuck with the building of the game. I was initially only doing the art, but that was when we were programming in XNL, so we could potentially put our game on the Zune marketplace...but that fell through. When I was notified, we didn't document it, which was probably a big mistake. I was just notified on Monday morning, and I honestly would have been better off doing the design documents than the programming. The Sadistic Author Maybe I might love you, maybe I might love you, so hold on tight and hold me close 1) Does the teacher know this? 2) What are the other two guys doing? 3) If you agreed to do the artwork, have you completed it? If all you were originally supposed to do was the artwork, and you completed it, then your portion of the work is done. Now, what are you doing in a programming class, from the sounds of it, when you haven't done any basic coding? Is this a final project, or is it part of the overall classwork? I would ask about an extension, citing that your group mate's have pinned work on you that you are not capable of completing. But the main concern would be how long you've been in the class and how much of the material you actually absorbed.

Yes, the professor knows this. He was the one who suggested we go to GameMaker in the first place. The other two are working on the documentation and presentation aspects, and I have finished all of the artwork.
I'm really just trying to find a way to get my foot in the door of a gaming company, since I work best from the design aspects and really only want to know programming so that I can ensure that I get my dream job somehow. I know, it's not the best idea...but I really thought it would work up until this point.
And as for the tutorials, they're great, if you're not basing the game on chess or any other board game like the game I'm doing. x__x;; The game my group chose is really complicated, even though it was the least complicated of the three we had to choose from. I think it will, since I've already taken a few of the classes I need to major in Web Graphics Design...and honestly, I didn't really enjoy programming in the first place...I thought that my major would focus a bit more than it does on the design and creative side of making a game. x__x;; The Sadistic Author Maybe I might love you, maybe I might love you, so hold on tight and hold me close

Yeah. I'm studying Foreign Language, but in my off time I am tinkering with 3DStudio Max, Poser, and Flash.
Making a game or working for a game company is all about effort. It helps to have a degree, but if you have the skill, most of the time that won't matter.

Meave read newspaper today. And... one of the article mentioned, the students studying at UK/Europe, who return to Eastern countries for their easter break are worrying that they will miss the exam scheduled on May.
