"Hungry were you?" Mioko says, chuckling.
She starts eating her burger with a smile. Rina crushes some crackers into her vegetable soup and begins taking tiny spoonfuls. She watches Blank she eats, with an unreadable expression on her face.
"So you two are heading over to Dollet tomorrow? Any particular reason?" Mioko asks, not noticing her friends strange staring.

Blank grinned as he nodded, chewing the rest of his food down before speaking, "Yeah...When your girlfriend eats as much as a family of 5 would...you tend to get pretty hungry." He replied with a chuckle. He took another load of spaghetti, chewing it and swallowing.
"...I'm pretty sure you're aware of Aki's Guardian Force; Bastet, right?" He asked, wiping his mouth and looking over to Mioko.

Mioko chuckles, knowing exactly what he meant about her friends dietary habits.
"Yeah... we know all about that interloping psychopath of a GF," she says, her smile turning to a dark look.

Nodding his head, he placed his fork on his plate a moment, looking over at Rina who stared at him with an expression...that he couldn't really understand...why was she staring at him like that though? Looking over at Mioko, he took a deep breath as he had to relive the situation, "Well...I teach a weaponry class back at Balamb, and Aki is one of my students...So the assignment was to spar. And we did...but while we were sparring, she managed to disarm me which would suggest the end of the match...but her eyes flashed that amber colour, and she tried to perform a killing blow to my chest." He said, scratching the back of his neck before continuing.
"So I caught the move and told her that was good enough. But later into the class, Aki charged at me with those Amber eyes..and to avoid her taking on any of the other students, I couldn't do much other than fight back. So, once I have her pinned; I...brought her back and yeah, after that. We were laying together trying to figure out ways for her to be able to control the GF. And that's when I asked if there was maybe something like an heirloom that helped, and she suggested a pendant, I think...so that's the main reason why we're goin' to Dollet. To see if we can find it." He said, picking his fork back up, and casting Rina a look, "...Plus, I miss my folks." He said with a crooked grin.

Mioko nods and takes a sip of her drink. She is silent for a few moments then turns back to Blank.
"I've seen her eyes do that... flashy thing. And I've seen Bastet take over her body... but never to that extent. Usually Aki can fight her off after a minute or two," she sighs heavily. "I hope you find something that can help."
She falls silent again for a few more moments, deep in thought. She then grins suddenly and says, "So you were 'laying together', were you?"
Rina however, continues to stare at Blank and says nothing.

Blank could feel his cheeks turn a slight shade of red before he stuffed his mouth full of spaghetti. He chewed it down...avoiding Mioko's question before looking over at Rina who continued to stare at him. Swallowing his food, he tilted his head slightly, "Is there something on your mind?" He asked her, confusion on his face while he attempted to avoid further speaking of his and Aki's...intimate time.

Rina stays silent for a moment, then a tiny smile appears on her face. She pushes her tray away silently, staring at Blank.
"You are very strong, and wield a terrifying power; yet you have such a kind heart," she says softly, never taking her gaze away.
Rina reaches across the table and places her tiny hand over Blank's.
"She loves you very much, you know. And for that I am glad. I have faith that you can protect she who is most precious. There is a great deal you do not know, but you shall learn eventually if you continue to protect her. I do not think she could have found someone better than you."
Rina smiles at him for a moment, then withdraws her hand timidly. Her eyes dart to the floor and a small blush creeps into her face. After a few moments, she stands and gathers her things.
"I must go. I will see you later," she says, before scurrying off.
Mioko stares after her friend, a dumbfounded look on her face.

Blank's eyes looked over the tiny girl as she spoke for the longest time he had seen so far...and...was she praising him? In his eyes; he saw himself not strong at all. Struggling to save what he thought was the most beautiful of anything had had ever laid his eyes on. But a kind heart?
"...I promised to protect her. I tend to keep promises." He replied, running a hand through his hair before setting it on the table. When she placed her hand over his, he could almost feel the magic radiate from her touch; a warm sensation which he could recall as what happened when he summoned a spell.
When her hand withdrew, he nodded when she rose, "Thank you." The crimson warrior told her, with a warm smile before she walked away. He glanced at Mioko with a dumbfounded look of his own.

"Well that was... unexpected. She doesn't talk to anyone like that.. or that much, except her grandparents and us. She obviously likes you though.. I guess you read well," Mioko says, nudging Blank with her elbow playfully.

He grinned before looking down at his empty plate, "Well..." Blank cleared his throat a moment and scratched his chin, "...can you blame her?" He teased with a grin before setting his fork on his plate and rising, "I think I'm going to go back to see Aki. What are you going to do?" He asked Mioko, peering down at her through his thin shades.

"I'm gunna go find Manami and fill her in on today's events, then maybe hit the sack. I'm pretty beat," Mioko says.
She stands from the table and grabs her things, then places a hand on Blank's shoulder for an instant.
"Rina's right though. Manami and I can see what a good person you are without having any crazy powers. Wanna know a secret? Rina told us yesterday after we left our secret spot that bein' around the two of you together is overwhelming. She's kind of.... an empath I guess. She can feel people's emotions and stuff. It's kinda freaky actually, cuz sometimes it's like she can read your mind. The only person she couldn't read was Hiroki, but that's another case.... Anyway, she said that when she first met you, the reason she left so quickly wasn't because she was shy, but because the emotions between the two of you was so overpowering it was making her dizzy. So don't take her words lightly. She doesn't speak much, but when she does it's meaningful.
Anyway, I should let you go to our girl. I'll see you tomorrow before you guys leave, kay? Have a good night," Mioko says, then squeezes his shoulder.
She gives Blank a friendly smile, then leaves.

Blank felt her hand on his shoulder, and he couldn't help but blush. Scratching the back of his head, his gaze turned away a moment before lifting back to hers with a smile, "Thanks. I'll see you tomorrow." He replied with a warm smile and watched her leave.
His hand ran through his crimson hair a moment before he threw his dishes away and proceeded to the Infirmary. When he arrived, he greeted the nurse at the desk with a smile before finding the room. Opening the door, Aki still laid upon the bed, in which Blank smiled. He closed the door behind himself before walking up beside the bed, his eyes peering down at her sleeping form before slowly moving closer to the bed.
His hand brushed her hair back out of her face before taking a seat on the bed beside her, lightly running his lips over her forehead lovingly in a soft kiss.

The nurse greets Blank as he enters, and gives him a few moments alone with Aki. She then approaches him, her gaze sweeping over his muscular form briefly.
"She's going to be asleep for at least a few hours... you should get some rest too. You're welcome to stay here if you like... and if you need anything, anything at all, just let me know," she says, giving him a shy smile.
She nods at him, then returns to her desk silently and begins leafing through folders.

Turning his gaze from Aki to the nurse, he smiled in return; not catching her gawking eyes as he seemed to be caught up in the moment, "Thanks...I won't be long, though." Blank replied with a warm smile and turned back to the sleeping girl beside him. It was silent for a few moments before he laid down beside her. He would only lay beside her a moment...he...just wanted to cuddle.
Blank moved in closer, carefully positioning himself beside Aki and he wrapped an arm around her, he took in the scent of her hair...breathing it in was so intoxicating as he let out a quiet sigh of content. He could feel his eyes get heavy, and shortly after, he was fast asleep.

Aki wakes the next morning to the bright sun shining in her face through the small window. She feels an arm around her, and turns her head slightly, a familiar scent making her smile. She opens her eyes slowly, and sees Blank's sleeping face next to hers. She adjusts herself so she is laying on her side and wraps her arm around him, kissing his forehead gently. She brings her hand up and brushes a few strands of hair out of his face, gazing at him lovingly.
