Hi guys, I'm Ophie. Age 25, living in the midwestern US. I work in the haunted attraction industry as an HR manager, an actor/trainer, a designer and a costumer. I'm pretty sure it's the coolest job in the world. I also love to paint and sing.
I used to listen to classic rock and heavy metal with my mom when I was little, but I never really got into metal that wasn't on the radio until high school. My favorite genres are folk, doom, gothic, prog and power metal. Some of my favorite artists are Kamelot, Seventh Wonder, Blind Guardian, Made out of Babies (which one of these is not like the others), Emilie Autumn, Lacuna Coil, Delain, Tyr, Korpiklaani, Ancient Bards, Sabaton, Type O and Van Canto.
I'm a goth at heart, and I love many many kinds of music, but metal has really been a constant element in my listening. I'm a musician myself (classical vocals) and tend to listen to music that reflects the kind of powerful chord structure and dark atmosphere of the music I enjoy performing.

Ways apt and new to sing of love I’d find, Forcing from her hard heart full many a sigh, Hajimemashite. I'm Velvet, and most of my metal knowing comes from my fiance. Yeah, I'm kinda dumb, and I've been attacked many, many times for certain bands not being metal- specifically Japanese ones- when I thought they were. I generally like music. There is very little that I dislike, and even less that I hate. Now that I have bands in my collection that I know for certain are metal, I'm willing to start mingling with other enthusiasts. And re-enkindle in her frozen mind Desires a thousand, passionate and high;
