A smile arose when she heard his quaint chuckle.
Two continuous steps forward and a question, "Have you been here before?" Her head slightly turned, her yellow eye fixed on his boyish face.

I've been many places all over this world Miss. I might have passed through here at some point.
He seemed to think about it for a moment after following her.

She sighed back with eased expression. " Forgive me for not introducing myself." She turned and offered her hand, "My given name is Kaym."

He took her hand shook it, his grip firm, but gentle at the same time.

He smiled as he spoke.

"I apologize, I can't really offer a last name." She continued as the steps still carried her. Then she stopped. Where they already in the midtown plaza? She could see many stores, most being clothing and tea houses.

No need for apologies, Lady Kaym. One does not usually use a last name anyhow. At least, this is what my experience has been.
Ryugi put on a sheepish grin and made a small nervous laugh. He still wasn't 100% sure about humans and their customs, despite living with them for a good bit of his life.

Kaym eyes were set on a sign, she pointed while still looking up, "I'm going to purchase a clean set of clothing." Her head turned back down at him, also catching people stare and gossip, more then likely about her bloody and torn appearance. "You need'nt hang around me if you have other business. I am attracting unneeded attention."

Nonsense! You are a lady in need of protection, at least until you're feeling back on your feet.
He smiled and kept after her.

Kaym carried herself up the whole three stairs and entered the store.
The enterance bell rang and the door opened, her black leather boots gave the floor a errie creek. The beginning environment gave her the feeling of an old haunted house feeling, but as she looked around, it was indeed old, yet modern. There were metal dome lights hanging from the ceiling and calm a ambient sound swaying in the air.
She approached the front desk which a woman was sitting at. Her face was caked full of makeup but it gave a natural look. Her eyes ran down the messy and battered warrior and she greeted her softly.
"Can I help you?" Her arms crossed over the bow of the counter.
Kaym felt a little intimidated by her fake beauty. "Ah, yes. I would like," she pointed over the clerks head at a spa package, "the number 4, please." The spa package was only consisted of a hot bath and a whatever clothing desired... she didnt need anything else and she was hoping the woman wouldnt ask, but then again, it was her job...
The fake beauty's brow rose and she gazed back at the sign. "Are you sure thats all you want? We have so many other things that would suite someone such as yourself better."
"No thank you. That is all i require."
"Ah, I see..." Then she looked back at Ryugi. "Is your boyfriend going to join you?"
Kaym was caught off guard for that one, but her face stayed stern. "No, he is not my spouse."
"HO!" A conniving smile appeared on her face and her hand covered her mouth. "ho ho ho, Its okay sweety, we get your kind here all the time! Its nothing to be ashamed of!"
Kaym wasn't quite sure as to what she was thinking. She paused. "May I have my ticket please?"
The woman paused. "Sure, darling." She handed Kaym her pass. Kaym eyes widened as the woman passed her and then walked over to Ryugi and handed him one. "Don't worry, i wont tell anyone." She whispered, hoping he would take the pass from her hand.
Kaym watched as she did this in the corner of her yellow eye and followed her back to the counter.
Kaym wasnt much for humorous shenanigans like these. Of course, the suspected woman wasnt making fun of them, she obviously just enjoyed these kind of looking situations. - Kaym did not.
"Thank you." Kaym said in an annoyed tone. For christ sake I just want a ******** bath.
Her head turned back at Ryugi, whom she figured was standing calmly behind her. "I apologize for the misunderstanding." She then went to the bath.
"Yes! The right is for woman, the left for men." The happy clerk motioned with her hands as she stood behind the counter once again.

Kaym couldn't have been more wrong. Ryugi had never been to a spa thingy before, and he was rather interested in everything. he looked around intently at things, and started when the woman suggested that they were married. He was abpout to set the record straight when Kaym set it straight for him. He shrugged and went back to looking about when the woman with the heavy make-up moved over to him and handed him a ticket. But... I didn't pay for i- He then understood that the woman was simply giving him a free bath. He hadn't had one of those in years. Not a bath, but a free bath. He blinked, bowed, and then thanked the woman, heading over to the men's side of the bath. Once there he quickly got himself ready and slipped into the water up to his nose as bubbles came out of his mouth. Being a fire elemental, the steaming bath seemed a little cool for him, and so, using a bit of his talents, he warmed the ambient water up a bit more, some bubbles rising from the boiling water hear his hands. Once the water near him was around a steamy 150 degrees, he sighed and allowed himself to rest. He'd almost forgotten what rest was, after wandering for so long. He listened for the telltale sloshing of someone entering the bath on the other side.

Kaym relaxed in the hot bath. She was also that of the fire element, but her touch didnt warm the water, it exsisted only in her veins. Her head rested on the bamboo pillow as her yellow eyes watched the skylight above.
"Sunset." Her eyes closed, then opened slowly. This was her favorite time of day.
"Saying farewell to the lifegiving sun; to welcome the embracing night."
She loved both. The second, but now endless lifetime that was given to her had shown her a great many things. Most, she wished she never bare witness.
Forgotten memories infested her tired mind.
Little did she know, she had just begun her long journey-filled life.
"Just beginning, ... huh?" Her lone voice echoed in her empty section of the bath.

Is it a common practice to talk to oneself during a bath?
Ryugi chuckled and bubbled in the water as he listened to her speak.

After hearing his remark she smiled.
"I enjoy it." she said, her head still laying on the pillow.
"If you dont mind me asking... ; Where were you headed, before you ran into me?"

"I appreciate it. I am not sure what would have happened if you didn't show up..." Her voice trailed off as an impetuous thought came to mind.
When did I start talking so confortably with people? Her perplexed facial expression reflected in the water.
Kaym didnt necessarily dislike her attitude towards others, it was comforting to know that there were people in this world, who would still go out of their way to help others. But, deep down she was still numb from all the betrayal and Exile.
".. exile..." The infatuating word slipped from her mouth ever so quietly.
:edit: "Do you have any companio..." .. Her words stopped as his presence disappeared. Why wasnt his disappearance more surprising? Not sure. Maybe he was use to it.
--Was he wisked away by an unknown force? Maybe? But Kayms knowledge was limited on him. She just met him a few hours before!
She didnt say anything else. Time passed.
Her head fell to one side, waking herself back up from her short slumber.
I must have fallen asleep? She looked at her form in the water.
Hehe.. I look like a prune
And with that, her pale curved body rose from the bath and wrapped itself in a towel.
