Splits...Hmmmm......

Iden's head lowered for a second as he thought. The memories were hazy but there; he knew some of this place.

Nodding abruptly, he followed Will.

It shouldn't matter which cave we take. Azrael and I split up last we were here, and both of us found our way through. We should stick together; God knows what's in here.

It was a descent into a nightmare, and Iden already knew the route.

Not.

Good.

If you say so. Follow me through the pool. I swim best.

*Overtaking Will with a sruge of his powerful tail, Yoachi dived into the deep pool preventing them going forwards without hesitation, his bulk even FASTER in the water.
Turning and spinning in the water, he confirmed there was nothing nasty waiting for them, then swam through to the other side, shaking himself off in a spray of droplets once back on land*

Now, left, right, or straight on Iden?

Iden was right in after Yoh, diving into the water and swimming with reasonable skill. He was no professional, and certainly no snake, but he could keep himself going. Powerful legs churned him through the pool, forcing his body to stay afloat despite the weight he carried.

Emerging on the far side, Iden crawled onto dry ground and knelt.

Right. But first...give us a minute to dry out the weapons. You may have your voodoo shenanigans, but some of us can't just make things burn by force of will.

And that's exactly what Iden did. Each gun was unloaded, emptied and quickly dried. True, most of them would function even with the water in the barrel, but he wasn't taking chances. Not when they were going somewhere so distinctly cold that the workings may just freeze...

Good point. Yang?

*calling the little gold out of his pouches, Yoachi put the small dragon on the floor in front of Iden, then held a hand over it and chanted. Soon enough, the gold scales turned to orange, heat washing off the dragon, who didnt seem to feel the effect and curled up, letting the heat rising from it help dry out Will and Iden and their effects, while Yoh kept murmuring*

Sweeping the cavern behind him one last time, William jumped into the pool and began to 'swim'; using his claws and strength to crawl across the ceiling of the pool of water to avoid sinking to the bottom. Walking out of the water and shaking himself dry, William followed Iden's lead and began emptying and stripping all of his weapons; the gun oil making drying them out a bit easier, with the dragons heat they should be ready in no time. Loading all of his weapons back up and holstering those not going to be immediately used, William went back to the front of the group and began down the right hand path that Iden had specified earlier.

"So fearless leader, how do you know which way to go on our merry trip through hell's half acre?"

*Sweeping Yang back up and tucking the sleepy dragon back into the pouch on his chst, Yoh retruned to the pool briefly to wet himself down - the heat of the dragon didnt do his naga form as much good as it had his companions and the dampness of his skin when he caught them up was much better for him.

Moving down the right passage, it would get dark FAST, the going underfoot initially rocky with scree, then becoming smoother as they moved on, until the only sound was footsteps and scales rasping across the floor. Even nightsight didnt seem to help - there was no light at ALL to use to enhance vision.*

Iden reloaded his arms and ensured all was in place before standing. With scent no longer a viable option for traversing the chasm, it left the three of them to his foggy memories. Not necessarily a good thing.

I've been here before. Az and I came to kill Ice...he got me, but Az finished the job. Though...it's been a long time and things aren't fresh. I just know that one of us took this route, and we both made it to the far side.

Which left them wandering through the shadows.

With it so dark, Iden took to the useful alternative for his phone: let there be light, and so long as the battery lived, at least SOMEONE would be able to see...

*The wan light showed dark dark walls. SMOOTH dark walls. Smooth, dark, COLD walls. Smooth dark cold walls with THINGS moving behind them, unclear due to the distortion of the ice, and the colour of it.

Turning, Yoachi looked behind them. At the wall of ice that blocke dthe way*

Erm guys? I hate to tell you this, but the way back isnt there. And its getting cold.

Moving down the cave slowly, sweeping around for anything of interest or danger, William soon began to notice that his body didn't like being here; the bath he had just taken combined with the natural cool damp air of the cave, begging to chill him and lower his body temperature. This would start as just an unpleasant feeling but would soon manifest as his reactions slowing down and feeling tired; this soon intensified to full blown pain coursing through his body and a similar feeling to being very sick. Leaning against the wall for a minute, William would try and get his body back under control; his body shaking heavily in the increasingly cold air.

"Something's wrong; I need to leave now. It hurts, everything; we need to leave."

His voice distant and unfocused, the look in his eyes clouded and drugged; William was trying to hold himself together as best as he could, but he was more of a liability now than a help.

What, you worried for your scaly hide, Yoh? You could always grow legs again.

To be truthful, the lack of a return passage didn't surprise Iden. This whole endeavor had felt like a one-way trip since they started; now he was more convinced than ever that either they would do what they had to, or wouldn't be going home.

What did surprise him was Will faltering. Quickly the gunman lowered his rifle and rushed to his brother's side.

Will? Come on, Will. Don't drop out on me now. We gotta go forward, there's no back door.

I more meant this isnt Kansas anymore, pops... its HIS domain.

*It was clear he meant Ice. His naga form wasnt bothered bythe cold - even as a reptile, he was warm blooded thanks to what he TRULY was. A Cainite.
Undulating to the wall and touching it, he was brought back to the other two FAST when Will started to speak.
Nudging Iden aside, he laid a hand to William's forehead, another to his wrist, while his OTHER two started pulling things from pouches*

Hmm... your body temp is about the same as mine... but you're reacting as if you have hypothermia... Iden, would you pull yang out of that back pouch he's curled in?

*while Iden did that, Yoachi started to lay things on William. A necklace of some kind of flower all linked together, a beetle into his pocket, a line of greenish cinnamon smelling salve acros shis forehead. Then he startd to chant.
Onmce Iden located the avatar, the dragon would settle on William's shoulder, and a haze of heat spready around the hybrid, whil yoh frownedin concerntration, convincing the spell to take the BEETLE as the living thing, and not focus on William*

"Trying, but it hurts; how much longer? I just.......I need to sit for a moment."

Looking Iden in the eyes, it would be easy for him to see that William wasn't all there anymore; the atmosphere itself was trying to kill William, and succeeding. Sliding down the wall to sit on the ground, William just sat there and stared at Iden in a glazed over daze. When Yoh came over, William just ignored the two of them anymore, trying to concentrate on raising his core temperature; he knew enough that it was the cold trying to kill him.

"Shouldn't be the same, needs to be higher; much higher."

Letting Yoh complete his little ritual, William would sigh in relief as the heat coursed through his body yet again; the color of his flesh returning to a more normal color, and his mind clearing. Pushing himself up off the floor, William would stretch each of his limbs quickly; checking to see if their where any problems, and finding that he was still going to be quite stiff, throwing his reaction time and movement ability off.

"Thanks Yoh, we need to get this over with soon; I cannot stay down here any longer. Unlike you two, I might die before we meet whoever is down here."

Iden was quick to act, taking the dragon from its place and supplying Yoh with the creature as needed. Inwardly, he cursed; Will had just become a liability they could not afford. Were Nothings truly this intolerant to cold, even when mixed with undeath? Great...things were just getting better and better.

Thankfully, Will was saved through Yoachi's powers. That in and of itself was a great relief. Iden offered him a hand to get his footing, and waved forwards.

We need to keep moving. This place isn't safe for any of us.

You can pay me back later, big boy. I'll keep you warm all night long...

*Yoachi absently patted William's shoulder as he gazed over to Iden*

This place... its just not natural. I cant hear the Wyrm.

*Yep... Yoachi was Wyrm tainted. A long standing issue with teh crazed naga that wasnt often even THOUGHT about by his kin anymore. that said, he seemed to cope with the affliciton better than anyone had to date.
turning his head either side, he followed his kin. Ahead, the path split in two, and there was nothing to distinguish the paths. back where Will had been leaning on the wall, small creatures rose up through the ice, darting about just behidn the top layer in the area William had inhabitted, as if LICKING the taste of him from the hard surface*
