>>Instantly the door creaked open, the princess hesitantly sticking her head in first like a child trying to be slealthy. She wasn't exactly certain what she would find, but it certainly wasn't what was waiting for her within<< Zell... >>She hardly even noticed the rest of the room, slowly edging in to close the door behind her. The female started at a slow walk then towards him, the soft hurt on her features pure and unhidden. Didn't have a reason to hide them. But her pace soon quickened. Was this what he was doing? Standing all alone in his room...beating the stitching loose of the odd red thing? Her pace quickened a little more. How could she even think such a thing? She had to find rune and seifer and apologize in person...but for now...she had more important matters to attend to. She stopped directly behind zell, one hand lifting to the center of his spine, just below the shoulderblade. Her head lowered onto his shoulder, feeling every jerk of his arm. The rest of her body didn't touch him, ever so hesitant before testing the waters. She closed her eyes<< Please...Zell. Please >>she whispered softly, not even certain of what she was asking for. But she didn't like this, not a wit<<
>>She clapped once before nodding and opening the door for the male<< Be back soon Sol! Remember, tonight you cook! >>Anon hopped on out then, closing the door behind her. Smoothly she extended her wings, and took to the sky, following Percy up to the clouds...<< So...I'm a ditz and you're a pushover. What a pair we make. I'll go do something on a whim and just drag you along one day. >>Now she winced. She had forgotten about kitchen duty<< Bye Percy...pleasure meeting you. >>That actually wasn't a lie. She tried not to, as odd as it may seem. Because of meeting him, Anon wouldn't be randomly bringing anyone else from that house over, which was good enough reason for her to concider it a grand meeting indeed. She sighed and walked up the stairs to check on naeco before starting on food<<

Zell didn't know what to think. That's why he was 'training' like he was -mindlessly. Just the habitual numbers counting in his head over and over. It was a chore not to look at her and yet he could not... just driving. He had to finish. Zell slowed at Maryline's touch, starting to relax. forty-eight..... forty-nine.......... fifty............
Gloved hands caught the punching bag, stilling it. Zell's head leaned back, eyes closing as a long sigh escaped him. "Maryline..."
Her name like his sigh: soft, drawn out, apologizing and grieving. Loving and longing and constant. But he couldn't seem to say anymore, throat choking up and tensing him a little more again. He wanted to turn and pull her into his arms, to kiss her and shrug the whole thing off, to just hold her and love her until... until... until everything that bothered her melted away like the winter snow at the first hint of spring.
His head shot over his shoulder as Percy shot a look at the angel through his glasses. "I'm not a pushover!" Twitch. He responded as he did when his brothers teased him. Automatic. Defensive. Snapping almost instinctively. It lost some of its edge considering his fair skin was still bright red from his earlier humiliation at -literally- the dragoness' hands. It did not even seem he'd heard the rest of what Anon had to say. Percy certainly did not respond to it.

>>The punching bag stopped. Thank arigon, it stopped. Her fingers on his back curled slightly catching his shirt<< Please Zell... >>Please what? Forgive her? Make it all better? Stop scaring her?<< I know there is no excuse...especially on Renascibilitas... >>She was contrite, almost ashamed. Arigon no doubt was enough of that for her<< I never meant... >>She exhaled softly, letting the half formed excuse die. Seifer probably told them all about it. Slowly, ever so slowly, her other arm came up, hooking under his to bend up and lightly grip his shoulder<< My apologies Zell.
>>Her eyebrows shot up at the look before the angelic rapidly blinked at him. She sped up slightly to be moreso beside him<< Jeeze la weeze Percy! Calm down. If we can't even laugh at ourselves, lifes just not fun. Heck, I know I'm a ditz. I'm 95.6 percent certain that I am a ditz. They also say laughters the best medicine, ya know? >>Not that she believed that. She believed medicine was the best medicine. She suddenly closed her wings to freefall down, dropping like a stone<<

Her touch felt wonderful. Even as it was. Even as he was. Or maybe especially because of how he was. 10 hours? Hell he had been aching for her touch after less than half of one! "Maryline..." Softer now, not just in volume. Full of love and forgiveness though he still didn't understand. He couldn't say though, that she had nothing to apologize for as was his instinct. He was hurt by her slip into cold decorum. Rune and even Seifer were hurt too, which he really didn't understand coming from his princess. Releasing a breath long and drawn out Zell let go of the punching bag. Breathing back in slowly, one hand going to his shoulder to engulf her hand there in a loving embrace. A warm hug... like the one he wanted to pull her into.
"Maryline... will ya tell me what made ya put your barriers up? Why ya had'ta make a point to keep me away?" His voice still so hurt, still so very loving. Forgiving, but at the same time... "I don't even know what to apologize for, Maryline..." His eyes didn't open, contemplating the inside of hie eyelids.
He flinched at her words, feeling a little guilty. Perhaps not enough. "Then Fred & George have to be the healthiest guys on the planet..." Percy muttered unhealthily to himself. But he didn't have time to dwell on that or even think of another thing as his companion plummeted. "ANON!!"
Then Percy did probably the second brave thing in his life. Folding his wings the owl anthro angled them and himself to dive after her, bird instincts overriding wizarding ones.

>>She didn't speak after that, letting the silence grow as she half-held him, thinking. His hand gently lighted on hers, big enough to swallow it if he so wished. A pause. Slowly, the female shook her head, the hand on his shoulder tightening<< I...cannot. >>This time, she really couldn't. If it led to what her pondered solutions were...it would break the fistfighter. A small wall made him beat up a punching bag. What would that news do to him?<< It...it has been so long Zell... I am uncertain I even remember how not to cry through a problem. >>he wasn't going to like that answer. And she didn't like giving it. Arigon, she had hurt him enough for the day<< I want to know that I can still handle a problem on my own.
>>Her body straight, arms at her sides, eyes closed, the female shot like a meteor about to crash into the planet. The wind was rushing in her ears, hair straight back as her dress rustled, a spike of adrenaline pumping her heart. She smoothly, gracefully, arched her back, midnight wings snapping out to send her into a curve back to horizontal. So close to the tree tops, she could almost reach out to touch them. Her wings powerfully beat down again as she angled up, raising back to the sky as if born in the clouds instead of on land. The females eyes opened, seeing...huh?<< Percy?

His head fell forward and Zell nodded, half suspecting that answer. If Maryline had felt able to tell him... she probably would not have done what she did in the kitchen. His other fist balled in helplessness. "I'm sorry..." He whispered. It didn't matter for what. For whatever he had done. That the situation existed or had happened. That maybe he was holding her too tight, that maybe she felt herself to be in a cage. That he couldn't shake this off. That he felt Maryline did not want him to hold her as he so desperately felt he needed to hold her.
Hyne how he needed to hold her.
"Maryline... what do you want me to do?" Lost. Like a little boy. Helpless because he was getting the impression that Maryline did not want the comfort he so wanted to give her. She wanted to handle this by herself... he wanted to handle everything together.
Seeing her move, wings snapping out to catch her fall, Percy spread out his own in a quick movement. Instinct of the creature he was combined with -a hunting action.
He stared at her as he slowed. Worried. Angry -the kind that comes when one has been afraid. "What do you think you were doing?!?"

>>She unhesitantly shook her head at his apology, half suspecting that answer as well. He didn't like it, naturally. It was difficult...retaining her strong independence, while not being independent. There was the conflict wasn't it. Or at least, one of them. Among her thoughts, she barely caught his question. Her head moved up, eyes opening to focus on the back of his head. What did she want him to do? What...did she want...him to do...<< I want you to look at me...truely look at me...I want to feel you holding me...and I want to hear you say, that you will always love me, no matter what lies ahead... >>A support, not her savior. This, she needed<<
>>She hovered there, eyes pulling to the side at his sharp voice. Ow. The female shifted a hand through her hair<< Falling. You should try it sometime. >>She started off dryly, sarcasticly, before beating her wings to have her gain a bit more altitude<< In all seriousness though...you should. Nothing beats a good free fall every now and again. I like to imagine its sort of like going bungying...or sky diving. What do you think?

That... was not what he expected to hear, had he bothered to expect anything at all. But it was what he wanted to hear. There was only the pause of Zell being stunned by her words, literally not moving though the stiff tension his body had been holding was already washing away from him in relief. Then he was turning fluidly, all his fighting skills making him as smooth as a dancer to enfold her slender body in his arms. His heart felt like it was beating again as opening his eyes he gazed into Maryline's blue pools in the frame of her heart-shaped face. His were overbright with a shimmer of unshed tears, though others had gone before them. Their paths were visible single trails through the flour on his face. But his body was returning to normal, and some of the light returning to his hazel blue-eyes filled with love. Hurt yes. Confused yes. But filled to overflowing with love. "I love you, Maryline Dorise Sang." Yes, somehow Zell felt the need to use her entire name. "I'll always love you, 'Line, no matter what. Nothin's gonna change that. Nothing. I can't help it -I need you like air to breathe. You're inside me, woman-princess... my angel... special kind'a spun-glass gal. Whatever's coming... that won't change. Ever. 'Line... I love ya so much. I wish I knew the words to tell ya better, that I could write that sonnet-thing for you..." The barest vibration of a chuckle and a hint of his infamous smile. "But yeah... Love. You. Forever. Booya."
He stared. Percy just could not believe this. "What do I think? I think you should warn a body you're going to intentionally fall!" His wings flapped to match her. "I thought you were going to die..."
The wizard ducked his head. "I thought you had passed out or something..."

OOC: XDD if I was maryline, I'd be like, dangit, I may be the only person able to hurt him, but dammit all, I can fix it!
BIC: >>Her hand on his shoulder turned to take his hand down with it when he turned before pulling her into him. Her features were soft, gentle as ever as she relaxed just as much as he. More internal. She slowly moved her arms around his waist, looking up so tenderly up at the male. She wanted to wipe away those tear trails, when had they even formed? It was more then painful enough to see the confused hurt she had put in his innocent hazel eyes. Arigon, she wanted to cry just from him saying her name with it. As it was, she gradually allowed a small smile to appear, feeling a certain amount of warmth within her now<< Zell. >>He spoke everything she knew, all that he had previously said before to her in hushed tones. But she needed to hear it, now. His name was like a new breath of fresh air was she closed the distance between them, pressing herself to him tightly as her head tucked itself under his chin<< It is alright...Sonnets are over done. I prefer something...special. >>The female murmered, her cheek brushing his collarbone as she moved her head to look up at him, that light smile playing on her lips. This felt right. She was exactly where she was supposed to be at that very moment. The rest of the tension slipped from her<< Are you certain? Forever is a long time.
Why would I do that? >>She brightly smiled, ever the same oblivious Anon<< I'm a great flyer, never...reg...istered... >>She sort of broke off, watching the slight duck of his head. Oh great. The guilt trip thing again. She smoothly flew the few feet between them to reach out a hand and pat his shoulder. She couldn't give him a hug like she wanted to up in the air and all that, but she could pat his shoulder!<< I see where ya coming from...with the high altitude air and the stress on the body, if untrained one could easily blackout without warning. Tell ya what...I wont make any more sky-dives for the rest of the trip. So if I start falling again, I really am going to hit those trees >>The female grinned, her hot breath sending little plumes of white from her<<

His arms tightened about her, more than moved by the look in her eyes. Zell didn't need to hear her say the same back to him. As long as she looked at him like that, it was enough. His cheek fell softly on her hair a moment before he was smiling down at her, looking up at him like that. Another tightening of his arms, almost fierce this time. A cheeky grin mixed with a breath of relief at Maryline's comment on Sonnets shifted to an 'oh really?' expression complete with questioningly arched brow. "Special?" Zell repeated half playfully. Amazing, how much better he felt just holding her again. That she wanted to be held. A warm hug as he felt her tension fade. Hazel-blue eyes crinkled with his smile. "Sure I'm certain."
The joviality left him but his smile didn't though it was softer and just as warm, but more serious. "Forever'd be longer without ya, 'Line. With you... I'd take about a hundred or more of 'em. Probably still wouldn't have enough."
"Just considerate..." He muttered, head still ducked. His head snapped up at the unexpected contact. One would think in his family he would be accustomed to touch, but not so. Or maybe it was because they were aerial. "Well, yes that... and well... I certainly don't know your health record..." Percy offered a weak smile. "I would appreciate it. Though I, ah... well I guess now that I know it is a common thing for you to do it isn't so bad. Forewarned and all." The wizard flushed slightly, looking uncertain and a little uncomfortable. As he always did when trying not to be the stick in the mud wet-blanket he usually was.

Special...one of a kind. >>Something only he could do...something only he would do<< raqs sharqi... >>A tint of red touched her cheeks, as unbidden as the thought. She wasn't the one courting him though. Her own smile faded to the barest curve of her lips, as the serious air settled about Zells shoulders<< I...am not going to think about the impossibility of adding forevers. >>The female spoke softly, slowly raising to her tip toes to ever so lovingly kiss his cheek<< I must be leaving now, however...I owe a personal apology to Lady Rune and Sir Seifer.
>>She gave one firm nod, still grinning so brightly<< Alright then, we'll do that. No more skydiving for the day. So... >>She lightly tapped his forehead with her index finger<< Smile a little, neh? They tend to make things a little easier. >>Her life motto. Just one of many. With another light tap, her powerful wings beat uper up a little more, and back so she could twist and continue in the direction they had before<<

"Guess I'll have to think'a somethin' then, huh?" He teased softly, tenor voice getting a bit of a husky quality to it, hazel-blue eyes twinkling. If Zell but knew her thought that brought the red to her cheeks the SeeD would ask what that was, becoming serious as he recalled instantly how Mujaki had asked him about just that. As it was... the fistfighter could not read thoughts and had no idea of the thought nor any inkling that perhaps he should look into it. Which he might have the night after Mujaki asked him... if Maryline had not otherwise totally and fully distracted him from any thoughts on the matter of what it could be.
"Nothing's impossible, 'Line. It's finding the way to make it happen." He spoke softly, his boyish smile tender. Just before he pouted. "Can I join ya?" Slowly a sheepish look crossed his tattooed face and Zell ducked his head. If he could have bared to let her go he'd likely have a hand rubbing the back of his neck in embarrassment. "I... ah... probably should apologize too. For how I left after Seif came back. I wasn't thinking straight... Couldn't..." He shrugged and gave a silly grin. "Couldn't shrug it off, ya know?" Hazel-blue eyes caught up in the bright blue of Maryline's. No... he couldn't just shrug off anything when it came to her. Even if he wanted to.
Blink. Percy went a little cross-eyed as the female's finger poked his forehead. Smile? He offered a shaky smile. "That's what my brothers are always trying to tell me..." He flapped his wings to continue their trip to Bass'ken Woods, making a small grimace thinking about Fred & George. It was... odd really. On one hand, he was really glad to have them both here... whole. Unharmed and unchanged. On the other... he did so get tired of their teasing him...
He cleared his throat softly. "So, um... what has Princess Maryline told you of our home?" ... and how much did he have to warn her about what she was getting herself into?

>>And she would have choked on her own embarrassment if he had asked. As it was, her blush was dying, but painfully slow. THe female nodded gracefully<< Of course. Just... >>That smile flicked back, tiny, charinged and a little impish<< try not to laugh too much at my groveling. The old council must be pulling their hair from above at all the times I have apologised here. >>Ever so gently, she nuzzled the cheek she just kissed<< I know. >>Her arms began to pull back, moving her hands to gently rest on his waist<< We should be going then. It will take a great effort to accommodate everyone in the house outside, and I have yet mentioned to Lady Trelweny a hint of it.
Its good advice! Though I'm not quite as good at it yet as the princess! >>Her entire body was just about numb by this point, in nothing but a dress and boots as the wind cooled her flesh. The house?<< The house...hmmm...well...She says that there's a lot of people in it. Like, a lot a lot. And they are alll different sizes. Some bigger then her, others small enough that she has to watch the ground and air at the same time. And um, ah, its always active. Very active. Besides that...uh...theres a garden...and someone named Trelweny... sweatdrop >>She reached the end of her knowladge of it<<

His eyes danced lightly. No... the earlier pain of before was not gone, but it hurt much less. "I'll try." Zell teased lightly. His eyes closed slightly as he breathed in, soaking up the feel of her on his cheek as he returned the nuzzle gently.
Blink. "Say wha??" His hands likewise fell to her waist as she pulled back, eyes snapping open wondering if he had possibly heard her right. "Everyone, everyone?" Zell's hazel-blue eyes looked as if he was half-tempted to question her sanity if he didn't know her like he did.
"At giving the advice or following it?" Almost a tease... Percy's voice lacking the proper teasing tone, but it was a fairly good attempt all things considered.
"Heh. Well, that's a good start. What's most important is that you're forewarned about the masses. It can be quite a shock. Was for my brothers & I." The owl anthro looked from their path to smile lightly at Anon. A smile which froze with worry, just before he frowned. "You're cold, Aren't you? Don't lie." Even as he talked Percy was trying to figure out a way to remove his robes while flying to hand them over to the girl. Bloody hell! Was she going to be so stubborn she would get sick? He grumbled beneath his breath, more upset at not insisting she wear more to begin with. He would never forgive himself if something happened to her because of his inadequacies.

>>That would be a fun experience, humbling the couple and-She took a step back, blinking so innocently up at the male. The female nodded<< Everyone. From the tiniest pixy to the largest dragon. No one can be excluded. >>This, she was dead set in. Renascibilitas was a very important day for her. For all of Dreia<< We will need a great deal of food, and quite a few tables. >>Here, she ever so sweetly smiling up at him<< Will you help me with the preparation's?
Foolllooowwwinnngg! >>She called back at him, grinning cheerfully. It instantly dropped<< Well...uh...Honestly? Complete and utter truth, no amount of lie, just bare facts straight to the heart of things? >>She rubbed the back of her neck slightly, lightly nibbling on the inside of her cheek<< I'm not cold. I don't feel a thing.
