Storm, hearing a thump, tucked her coin away and went to investigate. To her ultimta surprise and pleasure, she found Ranu.
"Ranu, me darling! Thank goodness you are here! You have no idea what thoughts a lonely ship can stir..."

Ranu glanced at the coin in Storms hand and frowned, "I would advise against using that. Infact just... Drop it. On the floor. Drop it." He shivered for the coin, muttering about how it would be better off dead, now Storm had marked it for use.

Storm merely tucked the coin away saving it for later. She narrowed her eyes slightly at Ranu hearing every word he had just said, but didn't mention it.
"So I can't spend my coin? A pity."

Storm sniffed.
"But it's a lucky coin, didn't you hear? There's more then one way to spend that."
She looked down morosly.
"Kibo's still mad about the whole trying to kill him thing and the crew wasn't here when I got back. I assumed that you took them, milord."

Ranu looked faintly suprised as he strode to the guard rail to look out to sea. "I have no idea how Kibo feels. I never knew you tried to kill him, anyway. No one tells me anything. I count my blessings for that dayly. And the crew are off on the beach having a play fight."

Ranu glanced over at Storm, wondering on the information about a daughter. "Some guy called Michael. Well, they was until he turned into an eye and exploded." He laughed shakily, "Yeah... Then they turned mortal and now we're on the beach duking it out."

"My boys," Ranu said as if offended Storm had asked, "Are in the thick of the fighting." He looked around, walking back towards Storm, smiling at her position. "We're alone." He noted, "In the middle of nowhere..."

"We are also on several hundred reickety pieces of wood strapped together sailing on the middle of a big, blue, wet thing. You are also my supieror now, I suppose."
She had already guessed at what Ranu was getting at. She wasn't going to make it any easier for him.

"How do you work that out?" Ranu asked with a tone of wonder, "I doubt Kibo could cope without you for long. He'd get bored without such a... Side kick."
Ranu wasn't interested in Storm getting life easy either.

"How well the lady doth counter mine comments," Ranu said with a smirk. He crossed his arms as he looked down on Storm. His mind swam with the usual questions her presence caused, but he shoved them away. He'd ask Kibo someday.
