"I'd like that," Carrigan murmured, loosening his arms as Miranda turned around. He leaned back slightly and smiled at her, her forehead about level with his chin. "My parents and I live in Winchester... it's really quite nice there. Have you ever been?"
He fell silent after that, his gaze shifting back to that unknown spot on the wall. Carrigan's eyes shortly lost focus as he allowed himself to drift, heart pounding in his chest. He wasn't particularly nervous about anything, but his heart wouldn't slow down, even though his breathing had long since returned to even. Without thinking, he pressed an absent kiss to Miranda's crown and then rested his chin atop her head.

Stilll energetic even after the long day's events, Amdise hurriedly entered the common room and headed up to the dormitory. When she reached the stairs, she looked in and found her trunks and owl cage resting in front of the bed she'd be sleeping in for the next few terms. With a relieved sigh, she curled her silvery hair around one finger and walked over to rub her owl's head and sit down beside his cage. Kinsey hooted at her and blinked, his double eyelids reflecting in the dim lighting.
She felt the weight of the day resting on her shoulders, and she could have easily fallen asleep right there, but she decided to get up and walk around..or sit down, as long as she was among people. She headed back downstairs and found an armchair by the fire, and a footstool to stretch her legs on. From the pocket of her robes she pulled a small copy of a very old-looking Muggle book and began to read.

(OOC: I've been sorted too! biggrin Ravenclaw glory! I'll try to help this amazing house all I can.)
Skips into her new house's common room Pam grabs the book she's been reading flops down onto a free chair and starts reading. After a while, she looks up and realizes she hasnt talked to anybody yet, whoops...
Wow, so much clever friendly people here, Miranda: seen her somewhere... Amdise: the girl that got sorted with me, Carrigan, Starfire, Belle, Mikki and so much more! After an introductory conversation to everybody, Pam goes up to the room she'll be sharing with other students and starts unpacking. But before that, she goes up to her pet cat Dillymo and cuddles her. The book will have to wait till later...

"OH! NEW HOUSE MEMBERS!!!!!" Mikki runs over to the two girls that have just joined the house. "WELCOME!!!! I'm sure you will have UBER fun with us! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Mikki starts jumping on the bed, in what clearly is a sugar high. She finally bounces down and asks "Soooooo.... What're your names?"

Hello! I just got sorted to Ravenclaw. I'm so glad about it, because that's where I've always felt I belong to. I hope I'll meet a lot of new friends here. I've noticed that quite a few people have been sorted here, so Ravenclaw Comon Room will certainly be a crowded place these days.

Looking up from her book in surprise, Amdise smiled at Pam and Mikki. She closed the book at tucked it back into her pocket, curling her legs up under her in true girly-girl style.
"Hey Pam, Mikki," She grinned, "I'm Amdise."

Miranda hears about the new students. She races down to the Common Room. "Hi! My name is Miranda. It's nice to see even more people here." She gets out her wand. "Accio guitar!" A black electric guitar comes flying out of the Girl's Dormitory. "My mum and dad finally sent me my guitar after I begged them." Miranda digs around in a pocket in her robe. "I never forget to have a pick with me!" She starts playing "Revolution Deathsquad" by Dragonforce.
When Miranda finishes, she sees her owl next to her. "Hi, Starfire." Miranda quietly says, "This an electric guitar my parents bought from the muggle world. They didn't want to because they're Pure-Bloods, they hate muggles, and they were in Slytherin. They wanted me to be Sorted there, now both are angry at me for being here in Ravenclaw." Miranda lowers her voice. "They both are Death Eaters for..Voldemort.."

"Thanks for the welcome everybody!" Absently stroking Dillymo, Pam gradually falls asleep on the common room couch, only when she is nearly completely asleep does she realize where she is and so stumbles up to her dormitory and dropping onto bed is sleeping straightaway.

"Me too. I'm not sure how much you'd like my house, though. Let's just say it's not the best neiborhood in the world." She racked her brain, trying to remember. "Winchester...That's in...Virginia? Right? I've driven throught there, but never actually stopped. From what I've heard it's beautiful."
She couldn't help but wonder, What was up with him and staring at that spot on the wall? "Oh, how could I be so insensitive?? It's obviouslly because of how nervous he is...god, I'm such an idiot." she thought to herself.
She could feel her heartbeat speading up and her face turn red when he kissed her. But instead of freaking out, like her concience told her to, she just leaned against the wall, tried to relax herself, and pulled him next to her so she could rest her head on his shoulder.

Carrigan looked rather startled. "No, Winchester... in the UK," he said slowly, face showing some confusion. "I wasn't even aware there was a Winchester in the states... and I daresay I can garuntee my Winchester is probably lovlier than yours." He continued to look slightly offput, as though disappointed that 'his' Winchester wasn't the only one.
He let Miranda pull them back against the wall, but shortly he sighed and slowly began to disentangle himself. "We ought to head back down," he said apologetically.
