((Sounds fine to me... but as far as spelling goes, it's Shyyyriwook, I think))
Chenahab, the lead wookiee stepped forewards and bowed. Gorwooken reached out and shook the other Wookiee's paw.

Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force.

Link focused upon the tenets he had been taught, felt his conciousness flow through the web of life that was the force.

He could sense it all: The slow steady beating of the wounded Rapora's heart, the nervous alertness of the young jedi, all connected through the force.

Then he heard a ringing.
His eys snapped forward and he lept to his feet.

Link was clad only in a pair of shorts, his thin muscular form criss crossed with scars from far too many fights and near misses with death.

He opened the garment cleaner/dryer, drew out his shirt and inspected it carefully.
"Good.' he muttered as he slipped it on. "Suprisingly effective. Usually they cant get blood out."

Freya gave an approving nod to the lead wookie. "Chenahab," she said, welcoming the giant wookie. "It's totally nice to meet you," she said witha smile. "Can you, like, handpick some men to accompany us?" And then, there was the issue of a permanent base. Alas, such was not settled at this time. "We'll also need some men here to guard the Amatruse family, whom will tend to this city in my stead."

Vera was almost overwhelmed with a feeling of darkness and despair, and it tightened around her heart. The pattern of the klaxxons changed so that the crew would know of a more specific disaster- the ISD was being boarded.

Lightsaber in hand and dead-set on reaching the escape pod bay, she dashed down a long white hallway and turned a corner just as the artificial gravity gave out. She made a flip through the air and growled to herself before kicking off a nearby wall and speeding towards a turbolift, aided by the force. Once inside she activated the lift tube, standing on its ceiling so that she was safely upright as it sped down to her destination.

The inertia of the journey propelled her into the floor of the lift as it jerked to a sudden stop. Knowing that it had halted its descent prematurely, she crawled through an access panel in the floor and kicked off, sending herself down to the escape pod level. She reached out to grip the door panel, but the artificial gravity kicked in again, sending her plummeting to the bottom of the lift. The lift tube groaned as the sudden stress affected it, and after an ear-splitting shriek of metal, raced down after her, free of its connecting supports.

Vera called on the force to slow her descent enough to control it, but the lift tube was gaining on her fast. She reached for an open door panel and swung herself through just as the lift tube screeched past behind her.

Facing her was a band of sith acolytes. In tandem, they ignited their lightsabers.

Vera took a deep breath and raised her own lightsaber, its blade glowing a deep maroon as it came to life. She let them come at her, her back to the lift tube doorway. One Sith launched herself at Vera, and the page easily deflected the attack, sending the acolyte into the lift chamber behind her. The rest of the four Sith came at her at once, and she parried their strikes, defending herself as best she could from the combined attack of five lightsabers wielded by three powerful warriors. Then with a scream of pain, one of the Sith fell forward onto her blade, collapsing in a heap to the right of her as Vera dodged his body. Her blade had cut through his chest, but the corpse's leg was split open and gushing blood. The two remaining Sith turned to see a steadfast astromech droid standing off against them, brandishing its buzz saw and small cutting laser. This was all the distraction Vera needed to cleave another Sith in two. The remaining one clanced at his fallen comrade and fled down the hallway.

With a triumphant rhythm of beeps, the droid spun around with its manipulator arms extending and contracting, as if doing a victory dance. Vera allowed herself a grin. "Thank you, little one."

It beeped a response before one final spin and wheeled away. It stopped to turn its conical head and give her an encouraging twitter before resuming its run down the hallway. Vera checked her surroundings and followed.

Revak slipped onto one of the stools in the Dead Space bar and glanced across the counter at the familiar bar owner, "Hello again."

"Hello, I hope you're not planning on having another fight,” Veira, the bartender, replied while cleaning the glass.

"No thanks. I'll have a bag of jetfruit and a bottle of the strongest stuff you've got." Revak answered as Jenel Olo sat on the bar next to him, "Oh, and I'll take some lum."

"Alright, and you captain?"

"Corellian Ale," Jenel answered quietly.

Zeltilla couldn't believe she was inclined to trust this... alien. She knew what a Chiss was, having heard of Thrawn, but she'd never actually seen one. He didn't look trusting at all, between his pale blue skin, and crimsom eyes. He looked more like a Sith demon then a soldier. And maybe he was.

"How can we trust you? We have little to gain from this alliance, save to end Sith tyranny, as you put it. We need more than empty promises."

Elladan frowned, trying to salvage things. "I can protect Onderon. You said there was a fleet not far from here. Your ships alone aren't powerful enough to fight even the flagship, but with mine, we can hold at least an excellent defense. I have another ship on route here as is. I can keep one ship here at all times for this week, and add another ship next week. In a month, I can have a trio of Victories guarding the system, and enough to take on the Nebula."

Olin nodded, but then approached the alien directly. "There is one matter we will request; if handled, we will make final negotiations for the treaty."

"And that is?"

"The Mandalorians," Zeltilla answered. "Their numbers have slowly grown on Dxun, and lately, they've become more... bold. There aren't but a few hundred of them now, but if they concentrate, we are ill-posed to defend. Can you parley with them?"

Elladan thought about it. Mandalorians, however trustworthy, would be valuable allies.... for a time. They disliked the Sith as much as most, and if they could be convinced to join for land and profit, then Elladan would have a whole contigent of elite soldiers. "We'll see."

Link shrugged his cloak around him and made his way down the street.
"Now this one must locate the next piece of the map. Perhaps the clue I seek lies at the Dead Space." he mused.
As he passed down the street he happened to notice a shop's sign written in Iridonian.
He paused, blinked and looked down at himself.
"Well I suppose theres time for that...."

Revak sat in the stoll slowly swirling his drink in his hand, "So where are we off to next?"

"Naboo then Tatooiene, I've got some goods to pick up there. Apparently there's a market for some of the indigineous life from Naboo." Jenel smiled slightly, "Something to do with the new Tatooiene no doubt."

Revak smiled, "There are legends on my world about that place, a wonderful place that the Rakata turned to a dusty cinder." Suddenly he stood, "Rakata spit!"

"What?"

"I've got to go Jenel, I'll get this stuff to Calra and meet you at the ship. There's something I've got to check." With that Revak was off, heading down the road back toward the hanger bay.

How could be so stupid! Leave a band of chiss alone with their starfighters.

An hour later, a cleaned up Link strolled out of the Iridonian Shop, paying a handful of Credits to a Smiling Zabrak shopkeep.
"Interesting buisness, public baths." Link remarked, feeling refreshed. "A vital buisness it is, and certainly an interesting one. Though nice it is, not to have to use a sponge for once."

He passed by a window with a reflective shine and paused for a moment, eyeing his mirror image.
He straightened his tunic and cloak, and adjusted the way his sword hung from his belt, then stood before the mirror in a stoic pose.

"The Force will be with you, always." He told the reflection.

A smile crept on his face and he began chuckling as he shook his head and continued on his way.

"Impress no no one, that will. Not comming from a Ronin like this one. More weight it would carry, with a beard and a few more years. The Master could impress all with that act. Yet a master he is. To reach his level, years it would take at the least."

Link smirked as he stepped aside to let a group of tourists pass on the pavewalk.
"But this one is certainly in no hurry to get there." he mused to himself. "Great skill comes with experience. And living gives one plenty of that. No matter where one goes he will always find something new to learn."

He noticed that the tourists had stopped and were staring at him.

"Oro?"

A human woman pointed at him exitedly. "Oh look honey! A jedi! They're so rare today! Quick! take a picture!"

Link's eyes widened. "Oro?!"

Before the tourists could draw their cams, the swordsman had vanished, beating a hasty retreat down the pavewalk.

"There is one man whom I know we can trust at this point. He's old and crippled so can't do much to help but provide us a place of shelter. He lives in a small residence outside of the city, if we can get there we should be able to stay low for a while. He goes by the name Sunum Zalera, he is my uncle and the only family I have left," Iust tells Iria. "If you want I can take you to him."

(( Silly me - didn't see this 'til now! ^^;; ))

"That should be fine." Iria reasoned. "Shall we go, then?"

Vera made her way down a long stretch of hallway before emerging in the ISD's main hangar. All of the fighters and combat craft were gone, and it looked depressingly barren, but for a series of transport shuttles.

The matte black droid the page had run into continued to lead her forward towards one of the shuttles. There was evidence of a massive battle that was fought here; blaster scoring littered the floor and walls, and corpses were scattered around, Knight and Sith alike.

The droid inserted an arm into a control panel on an Omega class shuttle. An obvious descendant of the Lambda class shuttles and Imperial landing craft, its port and starboard wings, though folded up around the body, resembled more closely the new tie fighters in that they bore heat-dissipation panels, while a third wing on top was folded down over the cockpit of the craft. It bore rotating blaster cannons, while a heavy double laser cannon was nestled between the jowels of the craft's "nose."

The loading ramp lowered and the R6 droid rolled up onto it, with Vera in tow. It closed behind her, and the droid went to the cockpit, plugging itself into the vessel and twittering excitedly. She sat down in the pilot's chair and took note of a monitor that the droid was being translated through. She read the display and smiled. "I'm glad to be aboard, R6-3RA. Can you get us out of here?"

The droid gave a low hoot before a confident tweet. "Very well. Let's get out of here while we can."

The droid tilted forward in a kind of nod and lifted the craft off the deck of the hangar. As it flew through the hangar bay, its wings unfolded. Instead of the usual wing configuration of previous landing craft, the bottom two wings unfloded so that the sides with the largest surface area faced forward rather than outward. The top wing receded slightly before lifting up, jutting forward at a wide angle, its thin side facing forward as on an ancestral landing craft, its blaster hardpoints whirring to life.

The powerful ion engines of the craft propelled it quickly through space. It was immediately raked by enemy fire, and the droid did its best to perform evasive actions. R6 spoke through the display monitor. "Of course I will," Vera said to the droid in response, and hurried to the aft section of the ship. Hidden until the top pylon had been raised, a double laser turret sat on the rear end of the craft, and Vera climbed into the remote turret control station. Though not in any way an experienced gunner, she managed to keep the pursuing fighters at bay. A twitter from R6 came to her through an amplified speaker system, but she was unable to understand it without the benefit of a control screen to translate for her.

His meaning became apparent when she was tugged into her seat as the shuttled entered hyperspace.

Aurora waited in the apartment with Gunther and master Kalnar. They had just told her a story of a training excersise gone wrong and she was laughing so hard she was crying. "You'll have to learn to be more careful." she said through her laughing fit.

((hope you don't mind CW))

(( *thumbs up* ^_^ Very good! ))

Freya then looked between Chenahab and Gorwooken. "So, like, who should come with us, and who should stay here?" She also thought of Gunther and Kalnar, as well. Will they totally come with us, or will they have to go somewhere else? she asked herself. Naturally, with the Sith about, they couldn't really stay in one place for too long.

(( Oh, and elvis: did you wish to take control o' the wookies, or shall we switch back and forth as needed for the situation? ))

"Alright let's go then," Iust says, "I have to pick up something first, follow me." Iust proceeds to lead Iria through a series of alleyways and side streets. There seems to be no real purpose to the way they are going until Iust comes to a rather large pile of debris. Moving the debris away Iust reveals a small and cleverly diguised hangar door.

"I had guessed that one of my employers would betray me some day, so I have hidden some gear away for just this sort of event. Mostly just transportation for when I need to get the hell out of town. " Iust says as he opens the hangar door to reveal a speeder bike.

"This will be our ticket out of this town, it will get us to my uncle's house," Iust tells Iria as he moves over to place the suitcase full of credits in the storage on the back of the bike.

"Have you ever ridden on one of these things before?" Iust asks Iria as he straddles the bike.

A Pair of Stormtroopers made their way down the street, keeping a watchful eye on the core world tourists as they mingled with the unsavory denizens of the free town.

It wasnt the greatest assignment. But this close to the Core, the empire needed to have a visible presence. And the most visible presence was the Stormtrooper.

The two walked along, their regulation blaster carbines craddled to their chests.

"So did you hear about those new zt-65's? " One said, speaking on his helmit's private channel. To the outside world, it seemed the troopers walked in silence, the convorsation they've been having contained by their helmits.

"Yeah. Real Kandosii." The other remarked as he glanced into an alleyway. "Heard they can even reach sub orbital."

"Yep. The guys in the 563rd Were telling me all about it. They said-"
The troopers paused at the sound of a crash from within a privately owned droid repair shop. Quickly the stormies took up flanking positions along the sides of the opened door and peered in.

A gang of Mantellian thugs seemed to be tearing the place up against the chittering pleas of the sullustian shopkeep. It was an aparent shakedown.

"Light 'em up?" The first asked his partner.
"No need to fill up our already overcrowded detention centers. Besides, they never lean anything unless you fry a few of them." The second one gave an brief nod."Oya."

The First stormtrooper spun around into the door and fired, blasting a human thug's head clean off with a wet pop. quickly he darted behind a shelf as the second stormie opened up with a pair of shots that caught a zabrak in the chest.

"White-hats!" A klatooinian thug shouted right before he caught a blaster bolt in the face.

The two remaining thugs, a Rodian and a Twi'lek fumbled for their guns as their allies went down. The Rodian managed to free his blaster from his holster and point it at the first trooper before he was gunned down by a single bolt. The Twi'lek threw his hands up and ate plasma for his troubles.

The Two troopers scanned the area cautiosly as smoke drifted up from their blasters.
The only thing left alive was the cowering Sullustian shopkeep. Every bolt fired had hit it's target.

"Room Clear." Said the first one.

"Hukaat'kama. I'm going to check the shop owner." The Second one came in slowly, sweeping the room with his carbine at his shoulder. he came upon the Sullustian and gently grabbed his shoulder as the other Stormie kept watch near the door.

"Sir? Are you alright?" He asked, his voice audible through his external speakers.

The Sullustian looked up at him and gave a nervous nod of his head.

"Don't worry sir. We've taken care of the situation. You clean up your shop and we'll take care of the bodies. Alright?"

The Shaken sullustian nodded again as the trooper helped him to his feet.

"Good. CT-5624, start hauling these guys out onto the street."

"Yeah yeah. Always with the heavy work." He holstered his carbine and grabbed a pair of bodies, throwing them out the door like sacks of grain.

"Thats because you scored higher on the physical tests than me, Ner Vod."
The second said as he drew another two corpses to CT-5624.

"MS-9952, you do know I'm not your brother, right? we're not even the same species." CT said as he continued with his work.

"Brothers in arms, mate, brothers in arms." MS said as he dragged the last blasted thug into the street. "I'm calling the clean up crew now. They should be here in fifteen minutes to drag these boys off to the Morgue."

"Pardon."

The two troopers looked towards the new voice and discovered it belonged to a skinny blond fellow in a cloak armed with a sword.
"Something wrong kid?" CT asked.

"Yes, this one aparently has lost his way and is a trifle confused. Can you tell this one how to get to Gorath Street?"

"Yeah," The trooper said as he pointed back up the street. "Go five blocks down, take a left on Droyk Drive, and follow that 'till you hit Gorath."

The blond fellow bowed. "Thank you very much." He replied as he went the direction the trooper pointed.

The Stormies watched him go. Then MS turned to his compatriot. " 'This One'?"

CT nodded. "Yeah. what a weirdo. Did you catch his funky get up?"

"Yep. Only on Ord Mantell."
