"You mean you want me to buy you something," Sayael muttered under his breath, rolling his eyes. It was surprisingly easy to get into his role - or perhaps he was just used to changing so much. "What do you want this time?" he asked, hoping Dax wouldn't ask for anything that would be hard to transport.

Dax grinned at what seemed to be Sayael's obedience. Maybe he could still have part of the spoiled life he had back at home. "Don't worry. I'll let you know when I get hungry," he said in satisfactory. "Or when I see something that catches my eye. Oh! And don't hesitate in buying yourself a little something.. You deserve it, kissycakes!" He sent a playful wink to the other.

Mie-tanuki
"I suppose so," Alti replied using his usual three-word-response that could be seen as agreement or just as... statement - which pretty much meant nothing - which was why he used it. "Umm... just, what is the prince here like?" he asked, frowning slightly. It wasn't as if he was worried he wouldn't be liked, it was more like he didn't want to meet someone extrenious or overly annoying...
[[I'm back! I would've replied earlier but we got locked out of our house. :'D Not fun.]]

Haar hadn't met up with the prince in a while. It seemed that every other month or so when the royals were to be briefed on just what in the world was going on the kingdom these days the prince was off and about in another nation. It had happened the last three months straight and occurred in a scattered fashion throughout the year. The commander hadn't thought that maybe the fire prince wouldn't even be at the castle...

"Well, he's of an adventurous sort, I suppose- he travels quite a bit. I don't know him too well but from the frequent, short meetings I've had with him he seems to be relatively nice, much more mature than I thought he'd be that's for sure," he explained while waving a hand towards the few guards outside the king, queen's, and the few princesses' and princes' quarters. He had to talk to the guards for a few minutes before they let Alti through but other than that Haar figured the whole process had gone wonderfully. Usually guests were questioned themselves but the young officer had been able to answer for the teen and the guards gave no protest.

"I do believe I could best him in a sword match though," he added in a murmured tone, lips flickered upwards in a smirk.

(( TqT <--this is Sayael vommitting sand (he's not crying, the whole T is an eye).))
Kissycakes?! Where had Dax learned such terrible things?! Most likely from his mother, Sayael reflected. "Oh, well, thank you, Honey. But we must remember not to buy too much or we could run over our budget before we even reach my parent's. After all, it would be terrible to have to work for money when we're supposed to be enjoying vacation." Which basically meant, 'ask for too much and you'll have to pay for it yourself.'

((Welcome back, Tato!! <3
I remember one time I thought I'd been locked out but then remembered after half an hour that there was a key by the back door. e.e;; *is stupid*))

He sounded loud - but Alti would see when he met him. He didn't like loud people, but it would be best not to judge anything before he actually met the prince. That was, after all, something he hated about the people back home. Just because there was the possibility of him having Fire blood, they thought he would be bad tempered - which he was - firy - which he most deffinately wasn't - and brash. As well as bad in some general way that puzzled Alti.

(Sand? XD Dax---> =^.^= )

"Oh, but I am enjoying it to bits, Lucian!" Dax said, completely ignoring what Sayael really meant with his words. 'Budget'? What a laughable thought. "Come on." He hopped off his horse, landing sturdily on his feet before looking back at Sayael. "I'm tired of riding. Besides there's far too many people at this early hour for horses to be tramping about."

((Sorry... I read v1 of Wish again yesterday because I was bored. >.>;; The kitty demons in there vommit sand when it becomes too mushy-gushy for them. xD ))

He sighed and slipped off his horse, leading a disproving Isfahel by wrapping long, tan fingers around silky strands. They would have to disguise the horses later... they were much too noticeable as they were now, something he had unfortunately forgotten. But, luckily for them, since they were comming from the palace they were most liekly to be related to someone important and the horses could therefor be explained.

((EDIT:
The song "Counting Stars" by Sugarcult suits Sayael...
"counting stars again
never meant to hurt you, only did what I had to"

(Yeah... I vomit sand all the time... xP)

Dax held Jacqueline's reigns close to himself while he looked past the crowds of people as they entered the main market area of the town. Merchants and other shopkeepers stood in front of all shops, tents, and stands, offering bargains and the best merchandise. Dax waved off a couple men who insisted 'she' would look dazzling in their authentic jewels. It was both exciting and nerve-racking all at once. "Sa-.. Lucian," he was quick to correct himself before continuing, "we won't be staying here for the night, will we? We're just restocking, right?"

"I'm not sure. It depends on how large the city is and what progress we can make. If we're still here by nightfall, then we stay. If we're outside the city, then we stop as close to twilight in the most hospitibal place we can find," he explained simply. It was lucky thst the Kingdom of Ice had ruled that the horse sales should be held outside of all cities (due to problems such as stench) because they would need to change the horses' appearances before they reached a market that would know all about such animals.

[[x3 Yes well, we got in okay last night (only because I had a key) but after mass this morning we couldn't get in because my dad hadn't given my key back and we all went through the front door so the garage door was still locked. :c And note!! Sona had expressed to me earlier that she MIGHT want to rp the fire prince, which...I had kind of forgotten about when I had Haar blab about meeting him...but I remembered later and asked Sona again and she seemed to want to try to rp him later (or possibly not at all but I'll have to call her when we both get back on friday ^^).]]

"And just who could you so thoroughly beat in a sword fight?" There would've been a thin piece of metal jabbed between his ribs had Haar not always been on guard. He seemed to always have a hand hovering, or at least relatively close, to his sword and easily parried the person's attempt with a grin. The handle of his sword tucked nicely against the other's, the commander's grin faded slightly as red eyes flashed upwards to meet brown eyes. What...?

"What are you doing here?" He asked with a frown, wondering how Xel had gotten through the guards. "I thought Ceris-"

Xel sighed, interrupting the younger man while he sheathed his sword, "He went and passed out on me," noting the alarmed look from the young man, the green haired male shook his head calmly, "Don't worry. I think he was just tired from all the healing he's been doing. It took quite a bit out of him to...to make me stop expressing how much of an apparent jungle cat he is," he murmured with a sort of teasing grin. "Or so he told me." Xel knew the bright eyed officer had always been overly curious about his relationship with the mage. He had not always been outspoken about his curiosity, but a few daring questions here and there had made Xel believe that Haar was much more interested about his lifestyle than he had formerly thought.

Red eyes widened slightly, an almost naive, if not awed, expression lighting up the soldier's face. "A-... A what!?"

"You heard me."

"But- What do you-... Mean?" Xel had not seen Haar so...completely confused with himself in such a long time.

It didn't help that Xel had so formerly thought that Haar was completely and utterly devoid of any sense or want of physical contact with anyone else, much less an emotional relationship...especially with a boy of some kind. If Xel had been able to remember just what exactly Alti had muttered in jest towards the soldier and the others earlier he would have completely agreed with him. It was weird, odd even, to see his ...friend (could he even call Haar his friend still?) almost grown up, running the army he had always loved, and yet...trying to figure out just what he wanted... intimately. It was true that Haar had never seemed like someone who wanted to keep anything or anyone close...and it had been this way (or so Ceris had told him a few years previous) since the death of the younger man's parents. Leaving recent events out of the equation, what did Xel owe Haar? Why did the young man feel it was...Xel's duty to tell him everything? Haar had never opened up to him. He had never talked about his parents...the accident, not even about Peyton, or- How had he even considered the guarded man anything more than an acquaintance if he didn't even know him?

Patting the commander's back with a half smile, Xel answered smoothly, "If you'd like to know so bad find some snarky little sarcastic thing and find out on your own. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to apologize to the queen."

Haar stared dumbly at the older male's retreating form. Maybe...maybe he and Ceris were right. Maybe he really needed to get away from castle life for a while... Holding a hand to the side of his head, the young man inwardly groaned, but of course that could never happen. He was needed too much here, not to mention a war was just waiting to break loose... Letting his hand drop, the man lowered his gaze to the floor, "Well, let's go try to find our prince, shall we?"

[/edit] Sorry that I haven't really brought up much about Haar's past yet. x3 (like before he knew Ceris and Xel).

Alti was nearly gaping. Only a lifetime of pretending to be attentive while really snoozing with his eyes open had tought Alti not to let his jaw litterally drop. He had suspected the other was, well... clueless... but this was just too funny. He supressed a small smirk, not wanting the other to feel even worse. He knew what it felt like to not know and he could, at the very least, be polite about it.

"Right," he murmured, glancing up at the other's face. It was... disconcerting - having to think about how other's felt. Almost like being put in a foreign country where everyone else spoke a different language and you had to be the one to reach out because no one else would bother.

((S'okay. =o Alti doesn't have much of a past that I've really talked about - only what his mother may or may not have done. ninja Although, it's pretty obvious. e.e
Ehehehe.... just wait 'til the Rosy/Jilli stuff starts rolling out. xD They are two of my charas that are more developed... so is Liao, as far as totality. Sayael's personality is developed (mostly - there's parts that are still variable, such as ebilness) but other than what happened with his mother and him having twelve (or was it eleven?) sibblings, I haven't thought too much...))
PostPosted: Sun Jul 30, 2006 7:49 pm

[[Haar's more or less, developed...but only in my mind. X3 I just seem to put him on the backburner... poor thing. D: I'll try harder. (No pun. <3) ]]

Taking a few steps towards the closest door, the brown haired male stumbled slightly, jarring his thoughts as he leaned a hand against the adjacent wall. Why...why was he thinking about this now? It had...had been over a year ago- He had been just barely eighteen... Maybe it was because of Xel. When the young man had rebelled against the nation Haar had set out on a quest of sorts to find out as much about the man as he could. He found himself in a much colder place than he would've liked- the ice kingdom. He found himself amongst unfamilar people...and yet one had been so kind-

Haar almost wondered why he hadn't thought about it when he had just been to the palace in the ice nation, he supposed he had allowed himself to revel in Peyton that night to keep his mind off of it.

Turning an almost frantic expression towards Alti, Haar straightened up, "Could...could we do this later?" He asked, moving his eyes elsewhere.

[[/edit] Could Haar be thinking about not-before-mentioned-ice-official!? Possibly. ninja I have to go to bed. x3

"Here's an idea," Dax started. "Let's get a tent and we can camp out in the woods. We can even build a fire.. Just like a travelling couple might do." He had only camped outdoors a handful of times when he was younger. Even then it was just within the castle's garden while accompanied by his childhood hero and his father's personal and favorite guard, Zavier. "It may allow us to get a little more ground."

((*sniffle* I was about to go visit my kittens and then my arm started tingling... it seems I either got bitten by a spider or got stung by a bee or wasp. ;______; So I have to stay at my dad's so they can watch over me... my arm doesn't hurt too much any more but there occasional twinges.... ><
Awww and it's the first time I've ever been bitten/stung, too. ;3; ))

He was surprised when the other stumbled. It wasn't that Haar appeared particularly graceful, but he seemed to be so... wary and careful, like the way he had been expecting the blow Xel had given. He nodded slowly. "Sure." Well, if they were to do thios later... then it assured him that he would be able to stay longer. Or, if he had to leave before he ever met the prince, he could use Haar's promise to make sure he would be able to return or stay longer.

((Owww. ><))

"Honey, we [i[have a tent. Don't you remember when I told you I was going to pack it? It's large, but it's much better than a tent we could buy in town." Isfahel nuzzled his head into the side of Sayael neck, perhaps trying to get a treat. He was a war horse and exceptional in every way, but he was also very... attatched to Sayael. The boy - now man in his disguise - grinned and patted his nose with a hand, although he was careful to keep an eye on the road ahead.

((I may get off soon.... My arm is bothering me... sorta twinging... but I'll be so bored if I do. ;_____; ))
