He rolled off of her, and she stared up at the sky, shaking with anticipation. She thought it was just temporary, and she waited for it. She waited, and waited, and when it finally did not cloud her mind over once more, she started to cry. She cried, and the blood washed away from her eyes. She sobbed, her body convulsing with real, crippling emotion. She was not getting her bearing back. She was not going to be okay about all of this. And then he called out for Creedence, with her little nickname, and she stopped crying, because it hurt too much to cry anymore. It could have been over so quick. All the pain, just, poof. Gone. That would have been nice.

Beach Hearing Dawson's voice, Creedence obstinately kept her head down. She had been a zombie earlier. Turning into sand didn't seem too off the table. He didn't sound angry at her, not really. A few moments ticked by as she thought about that and then raised her hand at him to wave ever so slightly before letting it drop.

Lydia - Courtyard Ah, there was Jacob! He was looking a lot worse for wear, but Lydia knew she probably couldn't have looked much better. Getting through those vines had been an absolute chore, and now she was just a scratched up, bloodied, likely awful looking mess. And she felt sick. Her head was throbbing worse than anything she'd ever felt before, and something in the very back of her mind almost seemed to burn uncomfortably, irritatingly. But still she let out a sigh of relief at seeing him. "I am...not well, I don't think, but so far still capable. I will let you know if this changes." She shifted herself up to her feet, her body stiff. "Arorangi? Have you seen him---" She began to ask, but then the man himself as there, and she gave him a rather tired looking smile, one that grew with the simple peck on the forehead that was given. And then that was it. At that very moment, her head began to swim, and she felt sicker than ever. Only on her feet for those few short moments, she was back on the ground, blacked out, and blood began to drip down from her nose and eyes. beach"I think you broke something," Lucky mumbled to Quinn, arms crossed over his body in the most futile attempt at protection. He might have been joking, but it was really hard to tell with him at the moment. "But I can't tell what." "Never been better," he groaned with obvious sarcasm, at Gale's question. "Never knew the human body could... take so much damage, either. Not how I would have gone about it." His hands creeped over his face at Leslie's comment, muffling his reply. " I don't want to talk about it." There was nothing more to do but wait, and watch as Rep went jogging along the beach with a hundred zombified hunters in tow. Sometimes it was better not to ask. She was attacked, and Mimi suddenly felt extremely fatigued. Everything was going dark, and- There was a voice telling her to do something, and she did as instructed, somehow managing to hold Sherry down before passing out. When she came to, the anger slowly ebbed away, as well as the pain, and Mimi could finally think clearly again. "S-Shery-san?" What... what happened? She remembered an intense pain, and then everything went dark, and, and... She looked down at the tin box in her hand, and then up at Sherry when SE stabbed another hunter. No, not stabbed. Cured R-right, she should do the same thing.Quote: Mimi:Location: Courtyard Vaccine: 6/6 Virus Counter: cured? HP: healed?/40 SAME AS GRIFF I AM SLOW BUT WHOEVER NEEDS CURES...

Strangely, he didn't feel awkward when Maebe broke out into sobs. Maybe he was just too tired to be. He wiped sand and blood on his shirt and tried to put an arm around her in support, feeling a little teary himself. Too much. (Deep breaths now.)
"Get it out, hun," he rumbled wearily. "S'been a long day...But m'glad ya'll're safe," he said a little louder, for Creedence's benefit, though even that seemed to take a lot of effort. Dawson fought for breath and tried to ignore his newest wound. "Cree...uh, can ya stand...?"

Tommy - Courtyard -> Beach "Much...better...." Tommy repeated, completely out of it, body still twitching, burned in various places from the net. When he could manage to do so, he curled in on himself, simply shuddering there, on the ground, in pain, both residual from the electric netting and from the sickness that seemed to be racking his body now. There were things still going on around him. Horace was yelling. Something about Oliver....stay back. Stay back. Like he could even move at the moment. Still, somehow, he managed to heave himself up onto his hands and knees. Somehow, he managed to crawl, until he collapsed again. He closed his eyes then, unable to take it anymore. --- When his eyes opened again, he was alone. It took him a moment to remember what was going on. His body still ached, his stomach still heaved, his head felt like it might explode at any moment. He pushed himself up, and wondered where everybody had gone to, or where the vines had gone, or just....what in the name of everything was going on. With a series of grunts, he pushed himself to his feet, wincing with each movement, eyes squinting as his brow furrowed. Something was calling him. And just like that, nothing else mattered anymore. Not who had been there and then gone, not what had happened. All that mattered was that he had somewhere he needed to be, and he was going to go there. Right now. Somewhere along the way, he pushed past Oliver and Horace. OOC Tommy:Virus count: 54 (stage 3) HP: 23 grey dragon I'm sure he'll shuffle right to Rep's cure

BeachShe wanted to tell him to just leave her, but Creedence wasn't stupid enough to try that again. It hadn't worked when she was obviously a danger, it wouldn't work now. So began the process of rolling over onto her back and then going breathless at the pain of it. She'd been hurt, a lot, by vines and by others and the much hinted at super healing wasn't there. Looking down, Creedence thought, This is what dying people look like. But there wasn't enough energy to be afraid of that thought right now, nowhere near enough to fully grasp the concept that even if she survived today, she was going to die on this island. That was for later. Creedence doesn't cry as she first works to sit up, she doesn't cry as she brings herself to stand on shaky, blood streaked legs or at the first few steps. Not even the ones that follow. Even the mortification of the melodrama she'd caused dims to a numb buzz, just beyond hearing. "Sorry," is all she manages to croak when she gets close.

"Safe." Maebe grumbled, her eyes closing to half-lids as she contemplated the word. "You call this safe." She moved to sit up, her arms giving out halfway and slamming her back down on the ground. It didn't stop her from trying again, despite the bruises all along her arms that spoke of heavy hands holding her back and keeping her from hurting others. He asked Creedence if she could stand, and Maebe finally looked to see the woman stirring across the way, still alive despite all she'd done to her. I told you so. She heard the words in her head, but said nothing. If only there was someone she could have trusted to bring her back from where she was headed. Dawson had done that for her, once upon a time. This time, she headed in a little farther, a little deeper. Things had been nice for a while, hadn't they? She couldn't complain. It almost seemed like they were looking up. She could stand, and she did it without his help. She crawled up onto her knees, scrabbled until she was on her feet, and stood there for a minute, until the pain that sung through every bone in her body dulled down to just bearable. Just bearable. That was how it felt. She saw Otto not too far off, with the same kind of wounds on his body that Dawson was trying to hold. She laughed, because she should have figured she'd be the worst of them all. She should have figured she'd leave the nastiest marks. She should have been proud of that. But she wasn't. Creedence was coming closer, clearly more injured than she was. She took comfort in that, in being able to stand when she could not. She took enough comfort that it almost kept her from walking away. Almost. She waited for just the right moment - Creedence's apology would catch his attention, and he would look - before she walked away. There wasn't anywhere to go, really. Just away would do.

Finn - Between Courtyard and Beach? idk He couldn't understand what was being yelled at him. He couldn't tell who was even right in front of him at that moment, though it should have been the most recognizable person on the planet, to him. All he knew was rage, anger, pain, and most of all, a desire to hurt, to destroy anything that got in his path, even if that path was now long forgotten. The figure that he had tackled was fighting back, and Finn took a kick to the face, all while it continued to yell at him. The once moon hunter was momentarily put off by the attack, hit hard enough to keep him at bay at least a moment longer. He shook his head, and then rested a baleful stare on Ripley once more. It was fairly clear that he intended on lunging at him again, at any moment. attacking ripley for: a big old goose egg OOC Finn: Virus count: High as the sky HP: 54 Items: 1x antivirus runic bandages runic torch

"Okay, not safe, but....better than before...righ'...?" Ever the optimist.
He shut his eyes and took another deep breath, steadying himself before opening them again. Okay. Creedence was able to move at least, though he had no idea if she could handle even a breeze looking like that, especially after what she had gone through. Probably would have to carry her. Maebe at least could stand too, so that was a good sign. They'd probably need to find another Moon or Lifer, or someone else who had bandages. (Jesus Christ, if he lived through this he swore he would go get cleared for his own as soon as possible.) Water, his runes, something decent to cut with, he started making a list because even if it didn't actually matter in the real world, at least he organization helped his otherwise quick to scatter thoughts.
Grunting, Dawson got to his knees and then forced himself to his feet. "S'okay," he assured Creedence as he fixed his cap, like he wasn't covered in blood and still pushing on the bite wound at his chest. "Like I said we just gotta stick--"
Maebe was walking away. It took him a second to register that. Luckily, none of them was capable of going very far or very fast right now.
"Mayb...?" He blinked owlishly, then cleared his throat to try and get her attention. "Stick together," he finished, a little louder. "Where you goin'?"

BeachLifting a shaking hand to weakly clap his shoulder, Creedence passed by Dawson with her small, shuffling steps. She couldn't quite catch up, but she followed Maebe all the same. This was at least partly out of spite. The blonde obviously wanted to be left alone, but she'd been so insistent about following Creedence before. It was pointless and petty, but the girl held onto it like a rope. It made the next step seem possible.
