Rep remembered the white nothing, only this time, he was alone. He looked around himself, dizzied by the lack of perception of distance and proximity. His eyes might as well have been in pitch blackness for all the shapes and edges he could make out. The voice however, he had no option but to follow, and using his sense of hearing as his only guide he tried to find his way out.
Eventually he came across a door, a shape that loomed up out of the whiteness, giving him a sense of where he was going. It was initially tiny, green edged and strangely slanted, but by the time he reached it, it towered over him.
Beyond it lay only whiteness.
"Ace?" he called, but no one heard him. "Other dude?" he frowned and thought of the blue, he didn't even know the guy's name. "Protection?" he hazarded before walking onwards.

There was hate, and then there was empathy. Eventually the latter won out, and the hostile expression on the Sun's face smoothed into worry. "I didn't see. We just got the ******** out of their as soon as the infected was secured." Rep stopped convulsing, eyes snapping open, but beyond that one small thing he lay motionless. "s**t... Is that blood?" There, at the corner of his eye, the edge of his mouth.

Blood began to pour out of every part of Rep's ********, oh ********>," Harrison grabbed Rep's jacket, and sat him up, supporting him under his arms so he wouldn't choke on his own blood.
"Okay, okay, whatever, we'll get him to the freezer-" Maybe it would slow down whatever was happening. Harrison wasn't thinking the most rational at this point. Maybe the blood from earlier? Rep had his mouth open- he said it was the bite that hurt him.
"But I'm staying with him."
He hefted Rep up, dragging him towards Room C.
"Please, please be okay."

-- REP IS INFECTED WITH THE PARANOIA VIRUS --
And then there was a blue door. This door was further away than the other, but this time he ran. He ran as fast as he could because there was something urgent about blue, and the sound of his feet on the ground was the only sound he could hear. It felt like it kept getting further and further away, smaller and smaller until suddenly it was not.
He flung the door wide open and in the real world took a sharp gasp of air, the life returning to his eyes.
But things weren't normal. He wasn't back, this wasn't right. Nothing was right everything was wrong. His brain found itself hardwired to all the things that had ever made his skin crawl. Nothing was real, no one was real. They were all monsters. Just like the ******** zombies.
Why hadn't he seen it before? He had been a ******** FOOL.
Tracey was summoned in an instant, and there was a split second of hesitation. "I see you cunts." he snarled. "I see you all. For what you really ******** are."

Rep flashed awake, and there was a stir of relief. The blood was still there, sure. And he was talking, at least, and Tracey-
s**t.
s**t.
"Rep," he said hoarse, and still holding Rep up. He lifted him a little, to see if he was okay on his feet. "Nobody's...nobody's anything. We're all okay. They're...they're clearing the last of s**t up, so...we just gotta wait for the techs, is all-"

Chel flicked another arrow at Ripley in response. It was very assholeish of her.
"Ain't movin' nowhere til you've stopped acting a drug addict." That was that.
Silly Ripley.
But then Finn jumped in front and Chel let out an exasperated sigh. "Oh my god don't go all Romeo on me." Come on Finn- she was supposed to be the dumb one! "We gotta knock him out so those other hunters can give him the cure. Just like we did with you dipshit."

-- REP IS INFECTED WITH THE PARANOIA VIRUS -- Rep twisted ferociously in Harrison's arms the moment he was on his feet. There was something wild in his eyes, something raw and animal in his movements and posture, the blood around his eyes, nose and mouth was like warpaint. He was paranoid at the best of times, for ever beset by the thoughts that other people were being insincere, that they lied to him and one another. He wanted to hurt them and injure them because only beneath their skin were they pure, only with their emotions flayed back like tissue, raw and exposed did they show him who they really were.
But now it was as if the haze had been lifted, the delusions he'd been labouring under his whole life were gone and he could see. He could see that they had all been using him all along, he could see the pity and hatred in their eyes, he could see what they'd do to him if they could, what they would do to him if he let them near. He was afraid and he was angry, and in the vicious redhead those two emotions were a lethal concoction.
Tracey did not know what was going on or why Rep was behaving more irrationally than usual, but it had never been his job to keep the man mentally stable - such a task was beyond even his plentiful talents - but he knew to come when called, when battle hovered on the horizon. <> he said calmly. But Rep did not respond the way he normally did in this either, he careened off in some inexplicable direction.
Harrison had been using him, Harrison wasn't trustworthy, neither of these things held traction readily. But this wasn't his Harrison, it was another one, it was some trick, some ******** conniving nonsense on the part of the voice that he'd heard in his ears. They were all out to get him.
"It's NOT ok." he snarled, brandishing the axe at the other man, his breath visible in the cold air, practically panting with the adrenaline from fear and rage. "And no ******** life tech is going near me. They all want to kill me. It's Dwight. It's ******** Dwight. No." And he took in Peyton and the others, all of them backstabbers, all of them people who wanted him dead. "It's ALL OF THEM. EVERYONE ON THIS ******** ISLAND WANTS ME DEAD. I WONT ******** LET THEM GET ME."
"IM A SURVIVOR. SHE SAID SO." he roared, and leaping forward, he swung straight at the blonde man he had sworn once never to harm.

It was thankfully very easy to ignore Lucky's comment once the little weasel scurried off to deal with some other people.
He studied Ripley impassively as Chel immediately set to attack him. Then he hummed under his breath as Finn came to the guy's defense, and he restrained the impulse to roll his eyes. Bias. Always bias coming out at the worst possible time.
"Step aside," Jack said with a polite but precise stab of his sword, breaking past the Moon's defense and nicking his target's shield. "Crowell was exposed to an unknown liquid, and I would rather not find out if it is contagious by having you go rabid again." Well, at least he assumed: what else could he derive from an okay changing to a not okay in between gurgles and splatters?
"Crowell, I suggest you stand still and let this process go as quick as possible. I will even administer the cure myself," the stern faced man assured, as if that was something positive.

Unfocused eyes rolled as his face was grabbed, but his jaw was still working, trying to pull itself out of the hold and bear down on the fingers that were keeping it captive. Mimsy was talking, and all of zero of it was actually getting through to the monster on the other end of her leash. She leaned closer, touching her forehead to his, and he inhaled the smell of blood and life and food and just worked his jaw harder to get to her. He wanted to eat her face off, piece by piece. He wanted to make blood gush like a warm shower. She pulled away, and his head lolled to the side, whining with need. Come back food source, his wordless whining said. Her arm was the closest part to him again, and he leaned in hard, snapping his teeth towards it. So much life ran past them. His movements became frenzied, trying to pull away and run after every human that came near, and each one was just barely out of reach.

Life, for lack of a better word, returned to the fallen Sun, and for a fleeting second everything stopped. Then Tracy was in his hands, and he was snarling up at him. Based on language alone, it honestly could have been Rep, but he turned on Harrison, screaming at him, swinging that ridiculously large ax at his own husband, and that was something Rep would never do. For all his belligerent violence, this was one line that would not be willingly crossed. Which meant something was seriously wrong. "Harrison get back!" She moved, trying to get between that monstrous blade and the man it was aiming for. Too slow, she watched as it bit in, drinking down fear, weakening Harrison's shield. All around them she'd seen it. Friends and allies going head to head, and when one fell, the techs rushed in. There was no point in trying to reason with the brute, there was no one home they could talk to at the moment. Special not anyone willing to listen to her. They needed to subdue him, make him safe for the Lifers to approach so they can administer whatever treatment or cure they had to offer. She struck while he was mid back swing, coming in for a solid hit to the ribs beneath one arm. HP: 51 DMG: 6 CHG: 3/3

Nora made an affronted noise and backed off as people converged on what was quickly looking like a man starting to break down. Nope, not getting involved with those blokes.
"Have to admit, the academy did not prep me for a zombie apocalypse," she said to Cee as they found some space, checking her scratches. They didn't feel infected, but she couldn't be too careful. "All good here! Should we attend someone else or just skirt the groups, eh? I'm still fine for--"
Nora paused, tilting her head a little like a dog. "You hear someone? Oi," she called out, "still in trouble out there?" It was silly, but then again the whole situation was to her now: maulings and everything. Who the hell worked security at this piece of crap?

Harrison deflected the hit, B0nez sparking against Tracey even as the axe came down. And if it was an imposter, it was a pretty good one. The fear was distinctly electric and obnoxious- before Marie gulped it down.
"Rep, you stupid piece of s**t, calm the <******** down."
RIght before Peyton suckerpunched Rep in the ******** kidney. America was all business.
"I'm okay. Just don't hit him, godd- uh, bless." He was swearing off the blasphemy for today. Harrison got under the swings, hauling him back under the arms again and restraining him. "Listen to me. You got bit. You got to take a shot. Tracey, are you in there?"

-- REP IS INFECTED WITH THE PARANOIA VIRUS --
Of course they'd attack him the second he was vulnerable, of course they ******** would. He'd been initially suspicious and paranoid, now he was all out furious. Peyton. He hadn't expected her to ******** side with him but at the very least he'd expected her not to try and ******** murder him.
"I'm FINE." he snarled. "MORE FINE THAN I'VE EVER ******** BEEN." Enemies ******** everywhere and even Harrison was holding his arms back so they could hit him, so he was vulnerable. The real Harrison would never ever do that.
"I'm not a ******** ZOMBIE." he protested, because he wasn't. He was seeing things more crystal clear than he could remember. All the bullshit bluffs of friendship and care he'd tolerated because he was weak when they were just moving in, just crowding around so they could stab him in the back like this. Of course they would, of course. He'd known it but he'd never acted on it, and now all the frustration and all the rage at his own incompetence and foolishness bubbled to the surface.
He let out an absolute roar of fury at Peyton, but was still held back, despite his wriggling. "SO STOP ******** HITTING ME YOU c**t."
Tracey heard Harrison, but there was no way to convey anything through Rep's absolute freefall panic.
"AND LET ME ******** GO." He arched his back against Harrison's grip and with surprising strength wrenched one arm free enough to bring the topmost blade of Tracey in between them and against the other man's shield.

It was as he feared: the others noticed, and began to crowd around him. More surprisingly was he re-appearance of Finn, whose proximity did little to comfort him. Amber eyes darted from one face to the next, looking at the infected, warped faces of those he used to call his friends, until Finn's words sank deep in his mind:
He's not infected!
It was an accusation. A promise. He wasn't infected, but he was going to be, soon.
"Not you, too..." He said, his voice little more than a pained breath. This Finn was a little more coherent now than the last time he saw him, but that didn't matter; all it meant was that he had been fed, but it didn't stop that annoying, pitting ache in his chest. Though he wasn't sure what to make of the way the pink sparks was deflected, or how Jack's clean attack only managed to glance his shield, but he didn't like it. They were squabbling again, over who got to turn him. Kill him.
Nora's disappearance wasn't even registered; she merely faded into the crowd of the enemy, just another face that was out to get him. The hallway was so close now, but he couldn't turn his back on this crew, not any more. Damn that one for spotting him!
He heard his name, both first and last, uttered by two voices he recognized, both trying to get him to calm down and relax. One promising that it would be over soon. A female voice piped up to suggest they knock him out to cure him, as if he were the sick ******** that." He uttered out loud, swinging Wilhelm in a wide arc; it was meant to deter them from getting closer, but if he actually hit someone, well, that'd be a bonus. He didn't, of course, but that should have surprised no one; at least he managed to get a couple steps back in the process, and that much closer to the hallway he was sure would provide freedom.HP: 12 Damage: ROLLING TO SEE IF HE'S STILL USELESS turns out yes
