Sumire picked up a shuriken and tossed it at the target. Another bullseye! But Kioshi's words stopped her. "Really?!" Her eyes brightened. "Yay! Now I'm not going to be the only oldest!" She smiled happily at him. "So you're really only two months younger than me? That's really cool! Myobi's two years younger than me. And everyone else is pretty much younger than me, too!" The girl prattled on, just happy to have someone to talk to.

Kioshi smiled. It was nice to have someone around that was your own age. "Is Myobi your younger sister?" the boy asked her. Kioshi was also smiling as he looked at the target board once again to see that their shurikens had landed on the same spot. Yea, it was nice to have someone around who was your own age...

Sumire laughed lightly. "No way! Myobi is my cousin!" She tossed her dark hair over her shoulder. "Aw...I'm out of shuriken! I was just getting really good, too!" She flashed Kioshi a bright smile. "You must bring me good luck! I wasn't doing so hot until you came down here!" She made sure that he wasn't going to throw any just yet, then went down to the target and gathered up her shuriken. Placing them where she had found them, she plopped on the grass beside Kioshi again. "Whoo! I'm all worn out!"

Kioshi's light blue eyes watched as Sumire went to go pick up her shurikens. He was a little stunned at the smile she gave him. It was a really nice and happy smile. Kioshi didn't mind if he didn't make another bull's-eye. So, he picked up another shuriken and threw it at the target without taking the time to aim properly. He felt a little odd with the fact that Sumire was sitting right beside him. The boy felt a little pressure to do a good job in front of her, but then again, he wasn't a show off. Kioshi wondered where Sumire had come from and how long she had been a student here. Maybe, she was already a genin?

"..Are you a genin?" he asked Sumire. His curious side was out and he really wanted to know. Kioshi still had to take the tests, but he was sure that he was guranteed a position as a genin. The boy had put so much effort into improving on his trip with his father. He had put Kioshi through so many tests and long nights it was hard for him to believe that he had actually gone through all that. Kioshi tossed another shuriken, throwing it at the board. He was more than surprised that he had gotten a bull's-eye with the last one.

Sumire squirmed a little. She was feeling far too hyper to sit still for long. So even as Kioshi had throwing most of his shuriken, she went to grab another pile. If she threw them quickly and distracted him a little by talking, maybe they could get done at the same time! She sent the first one flying towards the target. But now that she had Kioshi, she wasn't really interested in where it went. "Well...I'm not a genin yet! But I'm going to be! I'm taking the test soon!" She hummed quietly to herself as she stretched a bit to work out some soreness from the survival test.

Sumire decided that Kioshi should know a little bit about her. Then maybe he would return the favor and tell her about himself as well. She lobbed another shuriken at the target, hardly paying attention now. "You see, I'm originally from Amegakure! But...Mom and Dad didn't really think that I was getting the training that I should be getting. Plus I think they had a fight with the Amekage. Not really sure though!" The girl spoke cheerfully and seemingly without breath. All she needed was an audience. And now she had one.

Another shuriken, this time a bullseye! And Sumire couldn't help but notice that one. "Yay! I love getting those!" Her smile grew even wider, if that was possible. "But anyway! As I was saying! So Mom and Dad decided to move! At first they didn't know where to go, though. So we had to wait a long time to see where it was that we were going." She was slightly saddened as she remembered her best friend in the Ame Academy. Her name was Emiko. They'd had lots of fun, training in the mountains. That time that Emiko had almost drowned in the river because she messed up on the Kawarimi. And all those times in the hot springs!

Sumire flicked her wrist especially hard, hoping for another bull's-eye. But she only managed to hit the second ring. Unperturbed, she continued her story. "So they heard how Kusa was changing Kages. And how the new Kage was building a really big Academy. And they thought that it might be a good idea to move here!" she turned to him, eyes sparkling. "But do you know the best part? They didn't tell Auntie that we were coming here! It was supposed to be a big surprise!" She nodded enthusiastically. "I love surprises!"

"But it was sooo hard to keep it a secret!" Sumire recalled. "My family is really good at figuring out secrets! And we had to go to alot of trouble to make sure that they didn't find out until after we got there. We had to fake a mission. And everything!" Her voice was getting a little breathless. Probably from the lack of oxygen and everything. She took a small break to throw another shuriken at the target. Second ring again! But it didn't bother her. She was having far too much fun here.

Still a bit out of breath, Sumire tossed another weapon. "Yeah! Another bull's-eye!" She jumped around excitedly. "Oh! But anyway! So we finally managed to get everything packed up. Then we came over here!" She shrugged. "Myobi and her family were really shocked to see us! But I think they were happy, too. Myobi is really shy, and I'm really not!" She giggled. "So I think they wanted me and Myobi to train together. And we have." She shrugged again. "Myobi's really alot of fun. She just doesn't like strangers that much."

"I'm really getting better at this!" She smiled at Kioshi. "See? Told you were good luck!" A musing expression crossed her face. "If you're my good luck charm...Do you think I would get even more good luck if I rubbed you?" The merriment in her eyes was only surpassed by her smile. She laughed at the thought of her rubbing his head for luck. "Wouldn't that be funny?"
