Take my character for example...he's actually like my double. Personality wise at least. i understand but that was what i attempted to make. in rl im a boxer im use to fighting close and not over thinking so the whole idea of magic is difficult for me to grasp. also i have never been in a guild that was so in depth for character creation. Well this guild is meant for Semi-literate and above members, but we accept members whom are under the semi-literate level in order to help them achieve a higher literacy level in Gaia as well in their everyday life. Words hold power and being able to utilize them freely and directly will place you in a higher position than others whom can't convey their thoughts and feelings appropriately to a given situation. i agree and welcome the chance to expand my knowledge of linguistic skill. is there any way i can design a character who does not use qi but merely focuses on unharmed to armed combat? Qi is something that is used in all life, ignoring Qi is like saying your character is already dead, and even then the dead have their own form of Qi. ah i see. :p hmm from the show there were only a few who could really use special abilities. ill take it into consideration tho i am rather discouraged over the difficulty i am having. The anime isn't very in depth and didn't go into actual details like the Manga, also in order to make the Ao no Exorcist combat system and meister types fair for everyone, Qi had to be made an equal opportunity thing.

your right and the guild is wonderful, its my own inexperience that is preventing me from fully grasping the concept.
i know which type of character id like to make tho im unsure how to properly place everything together.

Just a matter of building who the character is in your mind. Who he is, why he reacts to things the way he does and what things/events have heavily impacted his views/experiences/or why he is talented at something.
It is kind of like the protagonist in a manga, or a videogame. Usually, the memorable characters have distinct reasons to why they do things and history/reasons to why they may be good at something. But instead of exposing history/personality/whatever over time the profile is intended to give a pretty through look at the character all at once. Allowing personality/history/ect to be built up further through roleplaying.

Uhhmmm.. Depends on what you mean by no regard for safety. o0
Like- your character typically doing risky/stupid things... ?
Or your character trying to go ham and fight along with the familiar..?
Normally classes like Tamer/Aria rather keep their distance due to being innately weaker physically than other classes.

Well, I'm basing him loosely off my chem teacher from Sophomore year, who would do things like pour alcohol on our desks and set them on fire randomly, and give us little to no instructions in labs so we could learn things for ourselves, so more like "here's a really high level demon. Fight it."

Sounds like the character's attitude rather than something that can be accounted for by any particular secondary class.
Ones (I think) compliment tamers well would be becoming a secondary Aria or Dragoon. That is assuming your character is human. And assuming your character isn't going to want to be fighting in someone's face as well.
Its really whatever you think will complement the character's battle style the best (:

That's not really a method to get people to go on a mission with you. You should try another approach.
