This was a terrible game, trying to catch creatures with his bare hands? Cats weren't even this hard to catch! But he was still here and his golem was working so... why not try more?

He regretted it already, and the merman hadn't even dove in properly yet.

Alex just kept sitting. This tactic often worked when he was trying to catch food in the woods so it would totally work now. It just wasn't going to work right now now, obviously.

POM PURSUITYes Yin, really. Why do you look so surprised? Alex arched an eyebrow back at the weremantis that nearly tripped over him. See, this was a splendid tactic, if he had been trying to catch a mantis and not a poms. Oh was that his mom over there? He turned to wave to her while she watched both her son and her secretly adopted son with amusement. Oh and he tried to catch another poms that went by.
