Chel absolutely seethed. First he gave away they were family. Then Nevada was getting all buddy buddy. She didn't say anything.
Then Chris was, once again, an a*****e.
When he held out his fist for a truce, Chel promptly punched him in the face. A proper Sun Division punch, not holding back at all. If he was actually injured Chel didn't notice nor could she care less because she was already walking away with her arms crossed, pissed off at both of them.
It looked like Nevada was going to have to finish the introduction on her own.

"Chelsea!!" Nevada watched Chris go down and the girl stalk off. Augh, Suns and their tempers!
"I'm sorry, you came at bad time...sort of." She hissed, "I'm not sure what happened between you guys but..Family is big on here. there isn't a lot of people who get to see family again so..." She helped him back up.
"She already told you my name, but I guess I'll formally introduce myself. Nevada Burns, of the Mist hunters. Uh, you'll get those debriefed to after the cove."

Chris's head snapped back and he fell back on his a**. "Son of a b***h!" He hissed in pain and cupped his face. Luckily he didn't end up flat on his back, but at the rate his life was going these last ten minutes he felt like he shouldn't even bother getting up. He was far more acquainted with the floor than his feet at this point.
He nodded his thanks as she once again helped him up and felt all of his dignity stay behind on the linoleum. When he moved his hand he felt his cheek and eye throb, it there was surely a big red mark across them. He was going to get the gnarliest black eye. "We're a little dysfunctional, obviously. I hadn't really expected to see her again either.
"Chris Axten. You said the... cove? is where I get my partner, right? Anything else I need to know before I do that?"

She gave him a meek smile. "Don't worry, once you bond, it'll be okay." She meant the bruise.
"Nice to meet you Chris. No, Not much. They'll sort you in a division and explained to you the basics and stuff. just...Don't freak out when you get your partner." She smiled at him. This time leading him out of the pod room. "Do you want me to wait outside the cove? I can show you around after that?"

That sounded about right. Gear up and debrief later. While it was infinitely frustrating that he was going to be confused for a while yet, it was nothing he hadn't gotten used to in the last year. He did however give her a befuddled look when she told him not to freak out. Why would he do that? "Unless it's Chel, I should be okay."
He gave a small sigh of relief at her offer and nodded. "I'd really appreciate it, actually. I'll try to be quick." As they approached what he assumed was the corridor leading to the cove he offered her a hesitant smile and then ducked away to get it over with. Every step he took away he tried to put Chel and her anger further and further out of his mind.

When the pod doors opened with a whoosh, the outline of a woman became very apparent. Riley's eyes blinked open and she became aware of the sudden need to breathe as she sucked in a breath of the fresh air. She coughed. The air she had been in was stale, and do the coolness of the new air had shocked her lungs. She stepped out, her conscience telling her she should move, and placed a foot on the ground. Of course, her legs weren't completely awake though, so instead of staying solidly placed and standing up, she crumbled to the ground.
Grand she thought to herself. She huffed, and sat on the ground, not wanting to stand. Where were other people? All she saw were pods.
After taking in a couple more breaths, she let her voice flow out of her mouth. "Hello?"

"So I know you've done this before, but there has been talk about people not being informed of the right things so they just want to be sure," Cass had been in the middle of explaining to Dorian why she had a clipboard full of basic information (including a card that explained where her office was, at her own suggestion) when the sound of one of the pods opening up turned her head, brows lifting.
"Aaannnd-"
Hello?
"It sounds like somebody is up!" she smiled to her fellow mist before she popped her head around the corner of several aisles of pods in a search. A search for a new face waking up to what would be their impending self-loathing (or maybe they'd really like it, she was on the fence as of late about how she felt about the island).
Spotting a new face that had found the floor (as they all did), Cass motioned to Dory before jerking her head towards Riley.
"Good Morning~" she greeted on approach.

"Oui - 'ow do they say it. Is not my first rodeo, oui?" Was the first reply Dorian gave Cass as he listened to her full explanation. "I was thrusted wit'the 'onour of waking up Solomon, when we 'ad no electricity on the island last year." He figured, giving her a little shrug. No word of a lie, he actually appreciated the small explanation he received - when he had woken up his Sun-Bro, he was kind of just told to watch over the pod and if anything came out, don't scream.
He was going to say more, about it, but the almost perfect pause that the other Mist member held up, he couldn't help but wonder why had found their way out of the pod now. Dory may have also be thanking some unknown source that he wasn't the only member of Deus to nearly break his nose falling out of his pod at entrance.
Just saying.
Going to follow Cass, he went to crouch down near the new member, his eyebrows raising a little as he peered down to her, arms resting on his knees.
"Bonjour, soleil~" He singsonged, also. "Comment vous sentez?"

Riley's head turned up towards the two. The clipboard in the woman's hand told her that she was obviously someone in charge here. Or maybe just in charge of helping her. The guy, however, she could barely understand. He had a thick accent, French maybe? As he crouched on his knees, she curled her legs to make her sit criss-cross. She first made her comment to the guy, turning her head towards him. "I.. I'm sorry, come again?" She asked, confused at what he said.
Turning her head towards the woman, she said, "Good.. morning? Is it morning..?" The sun. She wanted to see it. But her curiosity kept her back. "Who are you? And.. well, where am I?"

Cass looked at Dorian, brows raising. "Hon-hon-eiffel-tower-baguette," she replied as a clear display of just how not french speaking she was in comparison to her kouhai right then. With that she looked back to Riley, still smiling.
"Morning is relative, you've woken up so it is morning." she pulled out her runic cell phone to glance at the time, "Looks like it's a bit closer to lunch, really." Cass clarified as her author took the initiative to put a time of day in there since it was asked. "I'm Cassandra Hasan, Mist Hunter." She waited for Dorian to introduce himself similarly before continuing on, "And you've woken up on the island of Deus Ex Machina, home of the Hunters," Cass glanced at the clipboard she was holding, thumbing through a few papers to check if there was anything she was supposed to be mentioning specifically at this time.
"Do you recall being approached with joining the battle against the shadows and creatures made from FEAR? Creatures in your periphery, things other people can't see but you are certain are real, ghosts, monsters, zombies....things of that nature?" As Cass saw it, the safest thing to do at this time was get this young lady (potentially older than her lady, sigh) oriented to the time frame she was in.

Shoot, yet another new member to Deus who didn't understand a lick of french. Oh well, what was he supposed to do - maybe he'd find someone to teach french to - if it wasn't for Solia, he wouldn't have a fully french speaking buddy to hang out with. But, for now, he was being helpful and bringing another member of Deus in to their merry lands.
"Dorian Côté." He finally stated after Cassandra, giving a little shrug to the new member. "Mist 'unter, aussi. Nice to meet you." He offered up to her, going to look her over, making sure she wasn't harmed or anything. "You're technically in the pod room. We all start 'ere - you probably 'ad 'istory about seeing shadows and the like, non?" He piped up after a moment, looking up to Cass.

Shadows... Shadows... Riley thought hard. She definitely began to have some memories about shadows. Come to think of it, she remembered one touching her once. She shivered. It was horrendous. "Yes.. Yes I do remember those. Or I've seen them at least... Ghosts? They were ghosts.." She spoke, her mind jumbled. This was a lot to take in.
"I remember being spoken to about some sort of FEAR. And how I could see.. creatures that normal people couldn't see. So that's what the person was speaking about..." She blinked a couple times.
"Well, I'm here now. So do we have to take a long time on getting me oriented, or can I know what the next step of this battle is?"

"Well, you've already gone through the long part of it all - waiting to be recruited here through the suffering of ghosts, monsters, reapers, the undead, or demons. You may have no realized you were waiting, but for some this is the end result of where they want to be. On Deus ex Machina you are now in a position to fight back." She looked down at her clipboard and pulled a card off of it, holding it out to Riley.
"This is my office in the Life Labs, which we'll show you in a small tour of the island just to show you where things are while we get you basic starting equipment - a cell phone which is where most contact with the higher ups will come, and at some point in time you'll be tested into one of five divisions." she felt like she was rambling, but she was trying to get all the important information in as quickly as she could.
"You can be put into the Sun Division, which specializes in the offensive," like certain people in it...sigh..., "Moon Division, which specializes in defense and along with Life will act as Medics, Life Division works in technology and also runs the on-island medical center, and Death Division works on recon and surviving Caelius - Caelius is basically the biggest head around here it seems at times, so be warned he has a very short fuse. The last division, Mist Division specializes in...nothing, if we're to be honest. We fill in the gaps of other divisions and many of us have dual specializations of what we'll do."
Hoo boy, that was a lot of informaiton. "If you think you've been put in the wrong division at a later time, you can transfer to one you think is more suited to you."
Looking back to her clipboard, she tapped on another thought, "Before you go on any missions, you'll have to go and get your weapon's tablet. I won't explain too much into them, just know in the vague sense they choose you and...have an open mind."
You don't think she'll believe you if you say we talk, do you?
Nope.

{Awaking}
She woke up, yawned with little hands and stretched herself like a cozy cat. She didn't notice that she was in something, she thought she was in her bed. It was so cold that she wanted to wake up and get a coat. With sleepy eyes, she headed forward without looking, she was too used to her room that she was confident enough not to cause any problem, however.....BOOM. She rubbed her forehead, why was there a barrier??? In addition, the coldness didn't go away but intensified. What's going on? She blinked and rubbed her eyes.
This was not her room.
Her memory - was discontinuous. The girl with glasses was confused, further fumbling suggested that she was inside something, so she planned to get out of it first. She breathed cold air in and out. This place was so weird and she was shivering. Where's her coat?! She only wore a sleeveless top with her waist exposed. Hands were cold as if she was died. The thing was a bit spacious for the petite girl, so she found a good position and began to kick on the layer that block her way out.
Where's her sisters? Were they safe?
She was eager to find out.
"有人在嗎?" She yelled while hitting the barrier.

"No, no seriously- if you sing a harmony to the verse and then we sing the refrain together, it'll make The Wake-Up song that much better!" Jerry had, for once, not brought his guitar to pod duty. He felt naked without it, but was making due with what he had- which, unfortunately for him as far as cooperation went, was Robert. "It'll be funnnn!"
He barely registered the sound of a thump, but once he did, he jumped at the sound of the voice crying out. "Oh man, oh man it's show time!" Beaming, he hopped off of the pod he had sat on, glancing from machine to machine to see which one would soon beep and pop open with a new friend inside....
