Ceri let go of the girl and back up. She just watched as the scene unfolded. Tears fell down her cheeks again, but she wasn't going to let them see. She just stood with her hands at her sides, waiting.

Mala glanced over at Van, her eyes promising to make up majorly for this later. "I..uhm..don't see why not..." she said, still having a poor immunity against the tears of someone she saw as a child.

Angel was immediately not crying, although not her squealing self yet. Instead, she was cautiously optimistic. "Really?" She murmured to Mala, eyes widening.

Van deadpanned immediately and seemed to become drained of all color from head to toe while Riley patted his shoulder in pity.

Ceri had to cover her smile with one hand. She made her eyes look serious, but on the dark side of her palm, she was grinning widely.

"HOWEVER, you will need to learn to behave more. Especially since we get into a hell of alot of trouble on a daily basis." Mala then emphasized. She would've felt ashamed of herself no matter which she chose. If she didn't let Angel come along, she would've been upset to have caused a 'child' so much grief. Now, she had to teach that 'child' to at least respect their wishes so Van wouldn't die of misery. It was certain that she'd end up apologizing profusely later on, perhaps even offering to do whatever she could to make it better.

Alek embraced Ceri and kissed her cheek. "Ought to take that smile away," he murmured, before he went to sit and think.
Angel squealed, jumping and latching onto Mala, then squealing and throwing herself onto Van and clinging to him for a moment, even flinging herself to Riley for a hug before returning to her favorite, Mala.

Ceri sat down beside him. "Its not my fault your sister is so cute," she whispered to him. She then watched as Mala told Angel the rules for coming along.

"How do you know you're not?" he murmured back. "Maybe your cuteness rubbed off on hers."
Suddenly, Angel saw one of those things and she screeched, ducking for cover, and then she looked up at her brother and glared.
Val was laughing alongside Alek. "That's the second bird she's seen," she said, when she could, "and she still... still freaks out!" Then she was too busy laughing to talk.

Ceri shrugged. "I doubt it. I'm just the gripey leader who doesn't have a lot of fun.." she said to herself. She looked at Angel and smiled. "I wanna hug before you go."

Angel cautiously scooted towards Ceri, eyes on the sky in case any more of those evil creatures appeared, and then flung herself the rest of the distance with a mighty squeal and hugged Ceri.

Ceri laughed and hugged Angel back. She said, "Now Angel, I don't want Mala writing to me and saying what a pain in the backside you are. I want you to behave and listen to Mala-she knows what she's doing. Can you do that for me, hun?" she asked, poking the girl in the nose.

Angel nodded vigorously, poking Ceri's nose back. "And you take care of my big brother. He likes..." she leaned into Ceri's ear and whispered something very inappropriate.

Mala, while Angel was distracted by Ceri, went on to hug Van from the side - giving him the 'I'm so sorry!' puppy-eye look she'd developed when they got into arguements around seven years ago - shortly after the whole thing with Jaquel was resolved. "I'll make it up to you later, I promise!" she murmured, not daring to let that look go. Even if it didn't always work, it probably helped her chances of him not being pissed at her as long...right?
