The sound of the falling books had made Kiro p***k up his ears, opening his door quickly and pacing barefoot down the corridor. Upon the sight of Fae, Pueblo and the fallen books, the boy didn't know whether to be pleased or worried, crouching quickly with an exclaimation of surprise to pick up the books around the gryphon. He then stood straight, the objects in his hands, to actually greet them both.
"Fae, just who I've been looking for!" His smile was genuine as he placed the books aside in a more secure position. "I still have your data-log, I was going to come and find you with it."

The sudden sound of some shocked soul running down the corridor, Fae shifted to the side to see who it was. As he began to pick the remaining books up, Fae smiled gently. "Oh, thanks," she mumbled politely.
She blinked a couple times after, surprised. "You..were?" She looked to his hand where she saw her log book. Oh good! So...maybe he did find it helpful. He seemed more cheery today. "Oh, I hope it helped a little," she grinned slightly. "With your studies," she quickly added in.
"Peep," Pueblo cooed from her mother's warm arms. She stared at the younger looking human. He was taller than her mommy. A lot of people were taller than her, she noticed.

Kiro nodded gently, brushing some hair out of his face. "Yeah, it was interesting reading. Given me something to think about." He nodded again slowly, as though trying to remember what he was about to do, before remembering with a slight start. "Oh, I'll go get it for you."
With that he disappeared down the corridor and reappeared a minute or two later with the book. He handed it back gratefully. "Thanks, I appreciate your lending it to me."

Fae's smiled widened before he returned with her book. "Good good. If you ever need it to refer to anything again, just give me the word." Scratching Pueblo on top of her head wit her other hand, she looked back up to Kiro. "So, how's Tuskai doing?" She asked. It was a nice chat. ^^

Kiro couldn't help but smile a little at the question. "Still in his jar," he confirmed with a nod. "Keeping a journal's been hard when he isn't really doing anything yet," he added thoughtfully. He then paused for a moment. "We've been reading stories and things though." The admission prompted a slight blush from the neko-jin, and on impulse he reached a hand up to an ear and scratched at it quietly.
"And how about Pueblo? How's her art coming along?" Having read Fae's journal, Kiro was now quite aware of Pueblo's artistic tendencies.

(wth Gaia? o.O wink
Fae's chin lowered as she tried to hide a small grin at his blush. "I understand that. I mean, you probably already know, but how's your housing set-up been going?" As she was asked a question before, she looked down to Pueblo softly. "She's been doing...really well, actually. She can't do much without hands yet, but I can imagine the house being cluttered with paper once she does." Though the fate sounded like fiasco, there was an upmost excitment in her voice when she talked about Pueblo having hands.
"I'm sure Tuskai will come out once he's ready," she said, trying to give him hope.

Kiro didn't miss the excitement in her voice, and it conned another smile out of him. It was something he hadn't even thought about yet, his own current concern was coaxing Tsu out of the jar.
"My housing set-up?" He blinked for a second. "I'm still in the same room I was in when I got here. There was talk of knocking two rooms together, but nothing more's been said about it." He tilted his head in quiet thought. "I'm not really that bothered to be honest, I don't think Tsu's gonna be big enough for us to need masses of room."
He smiled slightly then, casting his large blue gaze down towards Pueblo, wiggling his white tail as he had before. With his bare feet, he kind of hoped she didn't take a liking to his feet like the last time they met...

Pueblo's eyes were sharp...just like her hearing. With a bleary cat-eye like gaze, she looked down to his moving toes. She seemed to be interested, if they kept moving like that. Looking back up to him, she attempted to stretch her wings like she was getting ready to move..
Fae nodded. "Ohh, that's right. You're staying in the Centre. I forgot!" She giggled at herself slightly. As if mother intuition, she caught Pueblo's motives and held onto her. "Noo, don't even think about it, young missy. Perhaps we should get going soon.." She trailed off and shifted the book around in her hands. "But you said you read to Tsukai? How cute. I read mostly text about famous artists to Pueblo because...well, she seems to enjoy those more for some reason," she blinked as if she did not even know the answer to this herself.

Kiro nodded, instinctively curling his toes in as he saw Pueblo was in fact interested in them.
"I started off reading an animal text-book to Tsu, but I managed to get hold of some storybooks. Those are more interesting for me to read aloud, and I imagine they're more interesting to listen to as well."
He smiled before continuing. "But if it's what Pueblo enjoys hearing, then that's what should be read to her. Whatever makes people happy." It was what he always tried to do, keep everyone happy. Maybe that's what made him so contientious.

Fae shrugged a shoulder before she slipped her journal into her satchel. "Yep, and I bet Tsukai will enjoy storybooks more now since that is what you read to him," she thoughtfully said. "Reccently, Abby and I have gone over Leonardo De Vinci, Monet, and Moztart...just because I like his music," she smiled. "I really don't know what else to do other than just expose her to everything in her right path of art. Being as an artist myself," she quietly said that part, "I understand what she needs to know now, and what later. I just...never taught before, even so to a creature." Her voice was curious like she thought it was weird looking in from outside of Aerandir knoweldge.

Kiro nodded. People with similar abilities would get on well together. He didn't see how an Aerandir could want to study things though (Kiro's own personal preference)... It would take a lot of focus... They were already cat and mouse, he just hoped they wouldn't become chalk and cheese.
"I've never taught either," confrimed Kiro with a light shrug. "But I'm guessing it'll just be instinctive, y'know? Probably just like having a little brother..."

"Exactly! That's the way I look at it too, I suppose. But anyway..." She looked down at Pueblo's michevious grimaces. "We need to get going. It was very nice talking with you. Mayhaps we'll see each other soon? Tell Tsukai hi for us," she grinned, the little favor she asked almost letting in that he wasn't the only one that 'talked to jars'.
As soon as he answered, she'd carry the wriggling Pueblo as the griff wanted to stick around to experiment on the wiggly things connected to Kiro's "paw".
(Sorry if this was too short, but I have some other things I have to get done now. x.xThanks for the rp! biggrin )

He smiled a little in farewell, tilting his head as he picked up on Fae's subtle implication. "I will. And thanks for stopping by, it saved me a trip."
Instinctively, he moved his foot away from Pueblo's beady gaze. Even though Fae had hold of the gryphon, he wasn't entirely convinced Pueblo couldn't wriggle out of the grip.
He watched the pair leave, before turning to retreat back up the corridor and return his attentions to Tsukai, happy that the data log was now in the safe possesion of its owner.

Keanu glided ahead of his caretaker excitedly, a jovial look in those glassy black eyes of his. Today they were going someplace new, as Kami said, and he was even more excited over the prospect of running into a friend, or maybe someone new. He landed and let Kami catch up at the Community center came into view, ruffling his speckled feathers curiously.
Kami smiled as she watched Keanu, a bit excited herself. She had never really thought about visiting the Community Center, and figured that it was about time she investigated. Most of the friends she'd made on the island had been around the caretaker's houses and down by the beach, so the thought hadn't really caught her mind till now. "We're here!" she said, and opened the door, letting the little badger-hawk slide in before stepping in herself.
She smiled at the view that appeared before her eyes. "What a cozy place." she commented, giggling as Keanu squawked, and dashed over to the toy chest. "Now, don't go making a big mess..." she said, and looked about, wondering if anyone else was around...

Tripping into the centre with Luc in tow, Nyxa nearly ran headfirst into the other human occupant in the centre. "Ack! Sorrysorry, I'm so sorry!" She'd come to the centre in hopes of finding some sugar and other spices for a berry concoction she'd been working on, and here she was nearly mauling over a woman she'd never seen before.
Luc's face creased into an etheral sort of smile, his misty, wispy body easily climbing above the collision. Peering about, he spotted the gryphon near the toybox, and with interest he hovered over the critter, a soft whispery sound coming from him.
Nyxa brushed back her hair, eyes wide and cheeks flushed, "I am so, so sorry!" Holding out her hand, she tried to save face by introducing herself. "I'm Nyxa. That wisp is m'boy, Luc."
